Iris Harris looked at him with some fear. She lifted her head and glanced at the unfamiliar people around her. Everyone was watching her, their expressions varied—some with pity, some with reluctance, or perhaps something else... The young assistants she saw as soon as she opened her eyes had reddened eyes, not daring to meet her gaze.
She had lost all her memories, knew no one, and although James Mason held her, she only felt scared.
James Mason carried her into the room and placed her on the bed she'd been sleeping in since she arrived. Iris Harris sat there, looking around somewhat dazed, her eyes misty, as if covered with a thin layer of gauze.
"Do you remember this place?"
The man named James Mason looked at her and asked.
She looked around and then shook her head.
James Mason smiled slightly. His smile was handsome, but somehow, her fingers couldn't help but tremble a little. Iris Harris lowered her head and gently pinched her fingertips.
