James Mason opened his hand, revealing a pill in his palm. He stared at her, speaking calmly, "If you take this, I will make you forget all of your memories from the past decade completely. You'll only remember me. You were supposed to only remember me, weren't you?"
Iris Harris stared at the pill, her face turning pale. James Mason's words were truly terrifying, and she couldn't help but retreat, her lips trembling slightly.
"Brandan, don't do this…" She looked at James Mason, feeling only fear. "I don't want this. Don't do this to me…"
"You don't want to only think about me?" James Mason lifted his head, his gaze fixed on her, and said in a flat tone, "But I don't want you to think about him all day long either."
Iris Harris desperately wanted to say, "When have I thought about Brandan Hyde all day long? I clearly haven't thought about him at all…"
But how could she explain this to James Mason?
He didn't seem interested in hearing her explanation at all.
