"..." Iris Harris glanced at her lightly, then lowered her head to look at the piece of beef between her chopsticks, and said softly, "The taste is different from what I used to eat."
"...How could that be? It's made by the same chef..."
Iris lowered her eyes, looking at the steaming dishes in front of her for a moment, then slowly put down her chopsticks.
"Elaine, I'm full."
Elaine was momentarily stunned, somewhat bewildered. She had heard that Douglas Scott's drug was colorless and tasteless, so logically, Iris shouldn't have been able to detect it.
Seemingly noticing Elaine's confusion, Iris smiled softly, "Actually, I just don't have much of an appetite now. You know, I just finished my IV, and I'm not hungry at all. I'm a bit sleepy. How about you bring dinner over a little earlier?"
