She gently bit her lip, pulling her hand away from Brandan Hyde's grasp.
Brandan looked at her actions, sighed softly, raised his hand to touch her hair, and then said, "You're still unwell, take a good rest. I'm heading back."
Iris Harris didn't utter a word. It was only after Brandan left the ward that she raised her hand to slowly smooth over the place he had just touched.
No matter how cold-hearted he was, the warmth in his palm remained.
She sat there alone, silently chuckling.

At the doorway, Viola Harris saw Brandan Hyde coming out from inside and called to him softly.
Brandan's eyebrows furrowed instantly when he saw her.
