Looking at how she seemed completely unconcerned, Jiang Jingheng's throat went a little hoarse. "You really don't mind?"
"Mind what? Mind that my husband is a pervert who's been in love with me for eight years straight?" Mu Yan shot back. "Sure, what happened back then did scare me, but it only made me more alert. That counts as a good thing too. The past is the past. It's good you've said it out loud, so it doesn't stay stuck in your heart."
As if afraid he'd overthink it, she added, "Don't get the wrong idea. I'm not this forgiving with everyone."
Jiang Jingheng raised his hand and stroked her face, his voice low. "I'm grateful fate let me meet you."
"You're touched already?" Mu Yan smiled. "In a bit you'll have something even more touching."
As she spoke, she took Jiang Jingheng's hand and led him forward.
Jiang Jingheng let her pull him along, and the two of them walked into the pavilion in the sea of flowers.
