The living room was quiet.
Yu Ma lowered her head, silent.
Mu Yan looked at her, becoming more certain of her suspicions. She calmed her emotions and said, "Yu Ma, you should know what kind of person I am, after living with me for so long. Silence won't help you hide anything."
Yu Ma raised her eyes and met Mu Yan's clear gaze. She hesitated for a moment and said, "Normally, the young master doesn't like having someone serve him nearby. I only come to the house to clean when he's not home."
Afraid she might not understand, she continued, "It's only after he married you that I've been qualified to stay at the villa often, to look after your daily needs."
Mu Yan's gaze deepened, "So, these past few days, when I wasn't home, you didn't come here either?"
"Yes, the young master doesn't like anyone invading his territory," Yu Ma explained quietly.
She glanced at Mu Yan and tentatively asked, "Why are you asking about this all of a sudden?"
