After spending most of the day inspecting the flower fields, Mu Yan and Song Cheng'an drove back to Upper City together.
Several bouquets of freshly-picked flowers, including sunflowers, tulips, and hyacinths, were placed on the back seat.
Mu Yan sat next to him with a flower basket on her knees, holding scissors in one hand and flower stems in the other, cutting and arranging them into the basket.
Sitting in the driver's seat, Song Cheng'an reminded, "Fix them later at home. Don't you get carsick with all this shaking?"
"I don't get carsick," Mu Yan replied. "Besides, it'll take a few hours to get home, so this way, I won't get bored."
"Just don't force yourself," Song Cheng'an said.
Mu Yan focused intently on the flowers in her hands, carefully trimming and placing each one.
At one point, Song Cheng'an handed her some water to drink.
Seeing her so engrossed, he couldn't bear to disturb her.
