Adrian's dark eyes narrowed menacingly.
He said nothing and strode toward the study.
Ned Faris followed closely behind Adrian, entering the study and closing the door.
Adrian stood with his back against the desk, his icy eyes fixed on Ned. "Speak."
Ned stood not far from Adrian, bowing his head slightly, and spoke respectfully: "According to what I've found, Ava Parker was the one who sent people to kidnap the young master."
Adrian's dark eyes were filled with a frightening coldness. "Ava Parker? Ha, I've underestimated her audacity!"
Ned continued to report his findings.
"Director, I've discovered that after being driven out of River City, Ava Parker sought refuge with Virgil Davies. She's currently in Mexico, working on a film set funded by Virgil. Her motives for wanting to kidnap the young master are unclear, but it's possible she intends to curry favor with Virgil."
