Koa Jackson reached out, clasping her hand tightly, gently rubbing her stiff fingers.
Without waking her, he sat sideways on the bed accompanying her.
Outside the security office—
Alexander Miller paced back and forth, anxiously waiting for the school leaders.
Next to him, Camden River and Windsor Myres stood side by side, unable to go in or leave, both very quiet.
Alexander Miller turned and saw the two.
Stopped walking.
He got in front of Camden River, looked him up and down, and said in an odd tone, "This time, thanks to you two, if you hadn't happened to go in for a date, the issue with Mia Ginger would really have been hard to resolve."
Camden River's lips twitched twice, but he didn't say a word.
Windsor Myres glanced at him from the corner of her eye, muttering, "What are you saying, instructor? We weren't on a date, just happened to be passing by."
