Zhang Chufeng caught a fleeting look of surprise in Qin Muni's eyes, realizing she hadn't expected Xu Yisen to come pick her up.
"It seems he really cares about you."
Qin Muni turned her gaze to Zhang Chufeng, slightly raising an eyebrow.
"Last time, when he got me out of jail, he told me and Aunt Zhao he did it for you."
Qin Muni pressed her red lips together, recalling the last time she ran into Xu Yisen having dinner with Zhang Chufeng and Zhao Yaru at the restaurant, and how she lost her temper with him afterward.
"I'm waiting for the good news about you two remarrying."
Qin Muni slightly arched her brows, her almond-shaped eyes unconsciously softened with a gentle wave, and she nodded lightly before bidding him farewell, "See you next time."
"Mm."
Zhang Chufeng waved at Qin Muni, then stood in place, watching her get into Xu Yisen's car.
Only after the car had driven far away, disappearing from view, did he turn around and head back inside.
