Despite his dissatisfaction, he dared not go against Maxwell Saxon's wishes and turned back to a distance.
Soon, a servant brought over a basin of water and a cup of mouthwash.
Maxwell Saxon merely washed his hands, rinsed his mouth, and then ignored the wound in his mouth.
Earlier, Scarlett Yates had evidently bitten him painfully, his face still somewhat pale, and cold sweat occasionally appeared on his forehead.
But he didn't care. When bloodstains reappeared at the corner of his mouth, he casually licked them and then turned to look at Scarlett, who was still lying on the ground.
She lifted her chin, looked up, her dark, shiny eyes burning with anger, and she glared at him with a fierce, gritted expression.
Like him, there were also bloodstains on her lips.
It was unclear if the blood came from her lips or from his body.
Maxwell Saxon walked towards her.
Scarlett instinctively backed away: "Don't come over."
Her eyes were full of defensiveness, anger, and fear.
