Hayes Simmons narrowed his eyes slightly: "It's just a marriage arranged by my family, I haven't agreed to it."
Stella Nelson was startled, her eyes brightened for a moment but soon dulled: "So what? I know you are very obedient to your parents, eventually, you will marry the woman they arranged for you."
"There are some things I can't say to you here." Upon closer inspection, Hayes Simmons' eyes were bloodshot, and there was a hint of fatigue between his brows, his spirit wasn't good. He still reached his hand out to Stella Nelson, saying word by word, "Stella, come with me. I won't take up much of your time, just need an hour, just give me one hour, okay?"
Stella Nelson frowned deeply, with a hint of hesitation in her eyes.
Just then, Scarlett Yates gently nudged her: "Stella, talk to him."
Stella Nelson said that Hayes Simmons never truly cared about her, it was all wishful thinking on her part.
