Matthew Saxon's gaze lingered on Scarlett Yates, finally, seemingly unintentionally, landing on her fair and smooth neck. He frowned slightly, "However, something is still missing."
After he spoke, like a magician, a necklace suddenly appeared in his hand.
It was a shimmering diamond necklace, dazzlingly beautiful, taking one's breath away.
Matthew pulled Scarlett closer, turning her around as if to put the necklace on her, and chuckled softly by her ear, "Do you like it?"
It felt like a feather lightly brushing past her ear, Scarlett's body shivered slightly, her voice following suit with a bit of a tremble, "Young Master?"
Matthew held her shoulder, let out a low laugh, "Don't move, I'll put it on for you."
Scarlett immediately shook her head like a rattle, "No way, the necklace is too expensive; I can't accept it."
Are you kidding me!
The diamond on it, just one, is priceless, something she couldn't afford, let alone a whole string of diamonds.
No reward without merit.
