"Had enough of lying down?" Suddenly, the man's voice sounded above her head.
His voice was cold and indifferent, steady as if he had seen through everything.
This demeanor made Summer Sutton's body stiffen.
Did he figure it out?
Watt Bennet lowered his gaze, staring at her for a moment, and his voice sounded again, "How long does Miss Sutton plan to stay here?"
Summer Sutton felt a bit awkward; she just wanted to use a little accident to bring them closer.
He figured it out, so why expose her?
Summer Sutton thought Watt was incredibly boring. She calmly straightened her clothes and slipped out from his embrace.
"I accidentally tripped over a rock just now." She found an excuse for herself, continuing to walk with him as if nothing had happened.
Tonight, she seemed intent on pretending to be delicate. On the way out, her body was pressed close to Watt's; if Watt hadn't been walking, Summer Sutton probably would have hung onto him.
"It's so dark here, I'm a little scared!"
