Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 Sneaky, A Thief?

"Wait a minute!" Summer Sutton became alert, abruptly stopping in her tracks, standing at the doorway unwilling to go in, "The smell of alcohol will dissipate on its own, I don't want to wash."

"Miss Sutton, the young master has a cleanliness obsession!" The maid showed no intention of listening to her, forcibly pushing her into the bathroom from both sides.

Summer Sutton was practically forced inside; throughout the process, she passively let several maids wipe and wash her here and there, her face expressionless.

After the maids finished cleaning her, they wrapped her in a bathrobe and sprayed a bit of perfume on her.

The scent was wonderful, a very light floral fragrance, like the scent of Blue Bell flowers.

"Miss Sutton, please wait in the room, the young master should be up shortly." The maids instructed, and then closed the door behind them as they left.

Summer Sutton sat stiffly on the bed, her face looking quite displeased.

Didn't she resemble a concubine from ancient palaces, waiting for the emperor's favor?

But why did she have to wait for that man to come up?

The desire to escape surged in Summer once again, she suddenly stood up, and hurried to the window, pulling back the curtains to look down.

She wanted to try climbing out the window, but seeing the pitch-black scene below, she lost her courage.

Jumping out the window was too dangerous.

Sitting back on the bed, Summer Sutton felt increasingly uneasy.

If she couldn't escape, did she really have to sit here and wait, surrendering her fate to that man?

No sound came from outside the room, it seemed that no one was coming.

Sitting on the bed, Summer Sutton waited for a while, but no one came. Exhausted and hungry, she let her guard down a little and dozed off for a short while.

But just as she fell asleep, she was awakened by her hunger.

She hadn't eaten a bite since lunch, and drank a few glasses of wine at the party, her stomach was feeling truly uncomfortable now.

Glancing around, unable to resist, Summer Sutton opened the door and went out.

The corridor was eerily quiet, it seemed the servants had gone downstairs to rest, and only the faint snippets of conversation from the night guards in the garden could be heard throughout the villa.

Summer Sutton tiptoed downstairs, intending to find the kitchen, when suddenly, a cold voice rang out, "Sneaking around, acting like a thief?"

Startled, Summer Sutton looked up to see a man standing beside her, she snapped, "Can't you make a bit of noise when you walk?"

Adrian Walyon ignored her words, his dark eyes scanning up and down on her, frowning as he took in her appearance.

Summer Sutton was wearing a bathrobe; her fair skin seemed to shimmer with a pearly glow, swaying slightly in front of Adrian, dazzling him.

"Who told you to dress like that?" Adrian Walyon appeared momentarily distracted, a hint of annoyance evident in his demeanor. He quickly took off his jacket and casually threw it over Summer Sutton, the large coat draping over her like a robe.

"Wasn't it you who arranged this?" Summer Sutton retorted confidently.

Did he think she wanted to wear so little while wandering in a man's villa?

Adrian Walyon was momentarily taken aback by her response, expressionless as he helped straighten the coat on her. The oversized garment perfectly enveloped Summer Sutton, "I'm telling you to wear it properly now! In the future, do not wear clothes like this out of your room!"

Summer Sutton was speechless at him, this man was truly unpredictable.

Adrian Walyon walked past her towards the dining room, sitting down, slicing the steak the maids had just prepared unhurriedly, tasting it before raising his eyes to look at her, "Why did you come down?"
