"Release all the prisoners immediately! Provide them with medical assistance!"
Some of the new recruits were puzzled:
"Why, sir?!"
"We just captured them with great difficulty!"
An angry Brigadier General Aziz flung his cap over:
"Idiots!"
"These are the retreating forces from the south, they are friendly forces!!!"
"Look at the mess you've made!"
"Hurry up and save them!!"
The soldiers around instinctively shrank their necks.

The defiant new recruits instantly wilted.
Everyone quickly tended to the wounded.
Night fell.
The wounded were all asleep, but many soldiers of the Turkish Brigade were still a bit anxious, whispering about whether they would face a court-martial.
