The trace seemed like a tiny crack on the wall, barely noticeable. Shuangshuang walked over and gently stroked the trace on the wall, confirming from the tactile sensation that it indeed was a crack.
Xiao Zhongjing also came over and mimicked Shuangshuang's gesture, stroking the area of the crack, guessing, "Could this be a secret door? There's a hidden space behind it."
Shuangshuang knocked on the wall, and the hollow sound echoed back. She smirked slightly, "To see if it's a secret door, you just have to give it a push."
Shuangshuang felt along the sides of the door, and then cautiously pushed on one side. This secret door appeared to be a hinge door that could be opened with some force.
The door was heavy. After pushing hard for a while, and with Xiao Zhongjing's help, they together expended a lot of effort before finally opening a gap wide enough for one person.
