Edward Stephens turned his head slightly, glanced at the passenger seat piled full, and remained silent for a moment, seemingly unsure how to comment. He watched it speechlessly for a while, then sighed and said to her, "I'm leaving."
Daisy Ginger nodded, "Be careful on the road."
She stood at the door, watching the man's black sedan disappear from sight, and only then did Daisy slowly return inside.
Her hatred for Robert Stephens had long been resolved after Edward had avenged her.
The man deserved his fate; she could not have any sympathy.
