Daisy Ginger turned her head and glanced at Edward Stephens. His face showed no emotion, clearly indicating he wasn't very fond of her.
She couldn't quite understand why every time they got along, Edward Stephens would never choose her—if she hadn't persistently pursued him in the past, would nothing have happened between them at all?
Thinking about it like this, she couldn't help but feel a little afraid: if she didn't hold on this time, would he abandon her like last time and choose to fall for another woman?
It's something she couldn't bear; she couldn't imagine Edward choosing to be with another woman, and what she might do to him, or to that other woman.
She's never been a good person, and she knows her possessiveness more than anyone.
Daisy lowered her eyes, thought for a moment, then nodded, "Let's eat together, I'm just hungry."
