About ten minutes later, Edward Stephens walked back alone from a distance.
He looked more relaxed than when he went in, came over, and took her hand, "Let's go. I'll take you out to eat."
Daisy Ginger looked at his expression and finally snorted, "Didn't I say it was fine?"
Edward didn't respond directly, only said, "The police called me just now. Your phone has been found and handed over to someone from your company. You can pick it up at your office tomorrow."
