The midday sun in spring was light and bright.
Outside the floor-to-ceiling window, there was a thriving scene, in full bloom with vibrant colors.
Charlotte Smith brought up the prepared food. Looking at it, it seemed rather Western, almost all were things Edward Stephens liked to eat.
Edward Stephens glanced at it and asked, "Didn't you buy any seafood?"
Charlotte was putting down a plate of creamy roasted mashed potatoes, paused slightly at his words, then looked up at him.
"Go make a plate of boiled shrimp, don't add any other seasoning."
Charlotte glanced at Daisy Ginger who was sitting next to Edward and then nodded, turning to leave.
Daisy didn't pay attention to them. She was sitting on the chair, not even lifting her head, just slowly drinking mushroom soup with a white porcelain spoon.
Edward lifted his head and looked at her.
She probably still harbored a lot of resentment towards him, but now didn't have the energy to dwell on the past with him.
