It was just another typical winter evening after work for Daisy Ginger.
Except for the moment when Edward Stephens was driving her home, distractedly glancing at the crowd while passing through the traffic lights, and almost hitting a pedestrian, Daisy didn't notice anything unusual.
He was always a careful driver, and this was the first time Edward had lost focus while driving. Daisy cast a surprised look at the man, but seeing his calm demeanor and no hint of anything amiss, she didn't pay any further mind to the small mishap.
After dinner together, Daisy went into the study to continue her unfinished work. When she entered the bedroom, yawning, she found that Edward was not in the room.
Surprised, she asked the servant cleaning downstairs and learned that Edward had abruptly driven out after she entered the study.
He rarely went out, so Daisy didn't worry. She sent him a text message and went to sleep after washing up.
