"Jorge, as long as you're at the wedding, I will be truly happy and content."
Lydia Brooke's words struck Jorge Saxton's heart, each word leaving a deep impact.
Jorge Saxton's gaze turned intense and profound, remaining silent.
"Jorge, do you not want to? Haven't you thought about marrying me?" Lydia anxiously looked at the silent Jorge, her fingers tightly clasped, her heart in turmoil.
Jorge gently shook his head, "No, Lydia..... I've only ever wanted to marry you in this lifetime. It's just... Lydia, I—"
"If you're hesitating, I won't bring it up anymore, Jorge. I'm going upstairs to rest."
Lydia gave Jorge a faint smile, but deep in her eyes was a hint of loneliness.
Lydia stood up intending to go upstairs, but her wrist was suddenly grasped by someone, halting her steps.
