Ariel Morris and Arlo Seys only withdrew their gaze after the car disappeared from sight.
Arlo Seys looked worried, his expression tense, as he glanced at Ariel Morris. "Ariel, why did you run out to chase Jorge Saxton? If I had come a second later, you would have fallen to the ground."
How could she not see his worry and fear? Ariel Morris embraced Arlo Seys, a deep, happy smile on her lips, and replied softly, "Arlo, I don't know what came over me. When I saw his hand bleeding at the banquet, my heart suddenly felt so heavy, as if those glass shards were piercing me instead. It was a bizarre sensation."
Arlo Seys' body stiffened for a moment. "You feel something for Jorge Saxton..."
