Christopher Scott frowned deeply, staring intently at the text message from Sophia Bennett. Seeing her unaffected tone, he was so angry that he gritted his teeth and smashed his phone onto the floor, cracking it.
He was extremely annoyed by Sophia's persistence but could only vent his frustration on his phone.
After a deep breath, he immediately got out of bed, got dressed, and headed to the company. In his distressed state, work was the only way he could numb himself; he couldn't find any other way to vent.
