Maya frantically grabbed her hair, feeling irritable. She picked up her phone, wanting to message Liam to ask him to handle the situation, only to realize she had deleted him four days ago.
She initially intended to ignore Aunt Parker, pretend she was asleep, and not hear her urging. But later, Aunt Parker urged her two more times, and Maya couldn't avoid it. She suddenly sat up from the bed, quickly walked to the desk, grabbed her schoolbag, and headed for the door.
She thought that tonight she would do her homework well and from tomorrow night onwards, she wouldn't go anymore. She would let Liam cancel her tutoring because she was fully confident of outperforming Elia Spencer.
A moment later, Maya knocked on Liam's room door.
