She paused for a moment, as if she had remembered something, and then quickly said, "Oh, Sister Sophie, I'm just 'borrowing' Brother Asher for three days, I won't play any tricks or do anything inappropriate, believe me..."
Irene raised her hand to swear.
"I didn't mean that." Sophie Smith interrupted Irene, "Hope you have fun today."
Irene was taken aback by Sophie's words, lost in thought for a while before snapping back to reality.
"Alright then, we're heading out now."
Asher Land, who unbeknownst to everyone had already come downstairs, walked up behind Irene. Irene said a word to Sophie and then prepared to leave with him.
Asher's gaze lingered on Sophie, as if conveying some dissatisfaction, as if he had heard what she just said.
The two locked eyes for a moment, but in the end, he said nothing more and turned around to walk out, with Irene jogging to catch up with his long strides.
