She stared at him in disbelief, unable to snap out of it for a while.
"Did you hear me? I'm telling you to leave here right now." He impatiently reiterated.
"Asher Land, what's wrong? Are you feeling insecure? Are you scared?" Sophie Smith's lips curled into a mocking smile, "Do you think if I leave, I won't know what you're really like now?"
"Even if you are disabled, so what? In my eyes, you're still the perfect Asher Land, still the same!" Her emotions were somewhat agitated.
The desolation in Asher Land's eyes deepened; how could he possibly still be that perfect Asher Land?
"Sophie, just leave. I really just want some peace and quiet." His tone was somewhat weak at this moment. Seeing him like that, Sophie naturally felt uncomfortable, maybe he indeed needed some calm now.
"Alright, I'll go." Sophie lowered her eyes, forcing her tone to remain calm, "But Asher, although I'm agreeing to leave this time, next time I won't."
She was truly afraid he would push her away.
