Sophie Smith raised her eyes in surprise, "So, you mean, Asher Land... he died?"
She spoke the sentence haltingly.
Eva Miller seemed to realize she misspoke, and she tightly pressed her lips together, looking at Nolan Davis.
"Little Sophie..."
"Mr. Davis, I know you wouldn't lie to me." Her gaze fell unshakably on him, with a hint of hope in her eyes.
"Asher Land is not dead." Nolan Davis's voice was calm, "He was more seriously injured than you and was sent to the United States for treatment."
Sophie Smith finally felt a bit relieved, but Nolan said he was more seriously injured than herself, so just how serious was it?
"I want to see him, I want to go now."
"I won't allow it." Nolan Davis firmly restrained her restless form on the bed, "Wait until you are better too, okay?"
