A surprise that Sophie Smith didn't expect suddenly appeared.
Excitedly, she ran upstairs with the invitation in her hand, then opened the master bedroom door and flopped down on the soft big bed.
"Asher Land, I have something to tell you," she said, lying next to him, speaking to him with his eyes still closed.
"What is it?" he mumbled, still half-asleep, wanting to sleep a bit longer since he didn't have to go to work today.
"The day after tomorrow, it's my alma mater's 80th anniversary, and they actually sent me an invitation, and even asked me to be the guest speaker," she said with a hint of pride in her voice.
He opened his eyes, looked at her, hesitated for a few seconds, then took out an invitation identical to hers from the drawer by the bed.
"How do you have one too?" She took the invitation from his hand and opened it; sure enough, it was from Eastern Film Academy.
"Your principal wants to establish a partnership with Golden Era," Asher Land said calmly.
