Sophie knows she has a night scene today, but Asher Land has been waiting for her all day. She feels a bit embarrassed and pulls out her phone to call him.
"You should go back first. Later, you can ask the driver to pick me up because I'm not sure how long it will take to finish." Sophie says, waiting for his reply, but Asher remains silent for a long time.
She feels puzzled and takes out the phone to check—it's connected.
Could it be that he spent all day waiting and really got angry?
"Hey, Asher, I'm sorry..." Seeing he still doesn't speak, she prepares to walk toward where he's parked.
His gaze sweeps out the window and, seeing her coming, puts his phone away.
Sophie opens the car door and gets in.
"Are you angry?" she asks tentatively.
"How would I dare to be mad at a pregnant woman?" He speaks truthfully, sitting in the car waiting all day was not pleasant.
