Tao YanZhen loved listening to Jin Erlin speak. This little girl he saw eight or nine years ago was still as endearing.
The four of them chatted while walking, all smiling except Wang Menglin.
"The three of you go home first, I'll go push the cart. I brought you some food."
The three entered the house, and the two girls quickly washed up.
"Cousin, let's invite Jin Erlin for dinner."
"Okay, I understand."
For dinner, it was just rice porridge, and without even scallions, only pancakes were made.
Wang Menglin was preparing, and Jin Erlin came over.
He brought quite a lot, with two baskets on the back of his bicycle, both filled to the brim. There was also a burlap sack balanced on the rear seat, looking like it contained potatoes. On the front handle, there was a large bundle of scallions.
"Uncle Jin, you're really well-prepared."
"I bought whatever I thought of. If you see anything missing, let me know. I'll bring it over in a couple of days."
