Chapter 716 Return to Asgard
As expected by Yang Le, although there was information related to the Sky Hammer recorded here, there was nothing about Hydra and SHIELD at all.
Not only that, this base was also not connected to the external network, a complete Cyber Island. Even wanting Upgrade to reverse-track messages from the outside was impossible.
Retracting the Transformer Arm transformed by As-You-Wish, Yang Le was not very satisfied with this Antarctica trip. After all, he had gained nothing except a very heavy hammer.
Compared to the Midgard Serpent that might descend at some unknown time, Yang Le was still more concerned about SHIELD and Hydra, who were nowhere to be found.
These two, who are as common as Newbie Village NPCs in American Comics novels in the Real Universe, why do they become elusive when Yang Le puts it into practice?
Yang Le couldn't help but feel frustrated. He could rely on some alien hero in the Omnitrix to directly obtain the answer, but doing so always gave him a feeling of surrendering and admitting defeat.
It was just Hydra and SHIELD, yet they actually made Yang Le feel helpless for a moment.
Don't misunderstand, Yang Le was not looking down on these two organizations, but the basic role of Hydra and SHIELD in Marvel is to be a troublemaker.
In the last century, they could still serve as the main force, but now they can only show their faces in Big Events, come out to stir things up and make the situation a bit more chaotic.
Yang Le clicked his tongue in annoyance. He decided to go back first and hand over the Sky Hammer in his hand to Odin, and then try harder. If it really didn't work, he would have to use the power of Clock King.
After all, he already had an idea in his head. If that idea still didn't work, then he could only give a French Military Salute. After all, surrendering means losing half, but before surrendering, Yang Le still wanted to make one last effort.
Thinking like this, Yang Le shouldered the hammer and directly soared into the sky, crashing through the ceiling, thick frozen soil, and ice layer. When he reached a certain altitude, he shouted a name loudly.
"Heimdall!"
As the bridge keeper of the Rainbow Bridge, Heimdall has a perception ability even stronger than God King Odin. His eyes can scan through the Nine Realms, and his ears can hear the sound of another world.
Before returning to Earth from Asgard, Thor had told him that if he wanted to come to Asgard, he just needed to shout Heimdall's name. His Dad had already greeted the other party in advance, granting Yang Le and Gwen the right to step onto the Rainbow Bridge.
Sure enough, after Yang Le shouted the name, a Rainbow descended from the sky, completely enveloping the flying Yang Le. In an instant, both Yang Le and the Rainbow disappeared without a trace.
"Boom!"
When Yang Le came back to his senses, he was already on the Rainbow Bridge. Directly in front of him stood Heimdall, fully equipped with armament, standing as straight as a gun.
"Welcome back, Mr. Yang." Heimdall greeted Yang Le, his attitude was a bit better than the last time Yang Le came. It was probably because of the sparring match between Thor and Yang Le. Asgardians value martial prowess, even children are no exception, let alone Heimdall.
Although there are not many opportunities to show off, Heimdall is indeed a top-ranked warrior in Asgard. Those who can steadily win against him are estimated to be no more than a handful. Possessing such martial arts, he naturally cannot dislike powerful people.
Simply put, Asgardians are a race where everyone enjoys fighting.
"Although I really hoped you came back because you forgot something, it seems things are not as I wished."
Heimdall's special eyes moved slightly downwards, seeing the Sky Hammer that Yang Le had not deliberately hidden. With his eyesight, he could of course see the extraordinary aspects of this hammer, but that was all.
Because of Odin's message blockade, even Asgardians who survived from that era are not very clear about the Prophecy of the Midgard Serpent, but this does not include Heimdall.
In order to guard against his brothers making a comeback, Odin told Heimdall most of the news about the Midgard Serpent, just wanting to rely on his ability to patrol the Nine Realms to gain precognition.
Unfortunately, the Midgard Serpent is not ordinary stuff. Even if it has been sealed for so long and its strength is barely one-tenth remaining, it is still not something Heimdall can compare to.
Therefore, Heimdall did not discover any connection between the hammer in front of him and the Midgard Serpent. He could only see the extraordinary aspects of the Sky Hammer, but more detailed things he could not see.
"You guessed it, Heimdall." Yang Le raised the hammer in his hand. "I have important things to discuss with the God King. Is he in Asgard now?"
"Yes, he is." Heimdall nodded. "The God King is in Asgard. As early as when you called out to me, I had already told the God King the message that you were coming. Now he is waiting for you in Asgard."
"Then what about Thor?" Yang Le had just taken a step when he seemed to suddenly remember something, and asked Heimdall the problem again.
"Thor?" Heimdall thought for a moment. "He doesn't seem to be in Asgard. If you are looking for him, I can try to help you make connection with him."
"No, no need." Yang Le refused Heimdall's suggestion. "The following business is inconvenient for him to know. I was even thinking if he was in Asgard, could I trouble you to lure him away first?"
Hearing Yang Le's words, Heimdall frowned. He looked at the hammer in Yang Le's hand again, carefully recalled Yang Le's words, and immediately understood.
"Could it be..." Heimdall's pupils dilated. "Could it be that you lifted that person's Sky Hammer?"
"Yes." Yang Le first nodded, and then immediately gave an explanation.
"This thing, I didn't lift it by proper means. It didn't choose me, so not only did I not obtain its blessing, I also don't need to fulfill the duty of lifting it."
Heimdall was stunned after hearing this. To be honest, he didn't believe Yang Le's words. After all, in his awareness, things that have been blessed by God King-level beings cannot be lifted by unconventional means.
In his view, as long as one lifts this type of thing, then they must have been acknowledged by the weapon, but Yang Le's current form does not look like he has been corroded by the Serpent God.
After all, in order to better complete Odin's mission, Heimdall is very familiar with the breath of the Serpent God. Until Yang Le initially came down from the Rainbow Bridge, and communicated for so long, Heimdall had not been able to detect any breath related to the Serpent God.
Otherwise, when Yang Le just came down from the Rainbow Bridge, Heimdall would have already adopted an attack form, and would not have been talking to Yang Le nicely for so long.
Just as Heimdall was thinking about whether or not to let Yang Le pass, he suddenly froze, because Odin sent a message to his brain.

Chapter 717: Conversation with Odin
Yang Le looked around. The Throne Hall of Asgard was no different from when he left. After all, he had only been gone for less than a day. Even if Asgard had the ability to change it, they wouldn't do so.
The sound of the gate being pushed open came from behind. Yang Le turned around and saw Odin entering. He was alone; even Queen Frigga was not with him.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, child," Odin nodded to Yang Le. "I apologize; please forgive this old timer with clumsy legs. It was I who notified Heimdall to let you in, yet I still made you wait for a while."
Just ten minutes prior, while Heimdall was still debating whether to admit Yang Le, an uncertain element, Odin directly instructed Heimdall telepathically to grant Yang Le entry.
Although he had some concerns in his heart, Heimdall still had to obey the God King's (Odin's) order. So, he did not hesitate and stepped aside to let Yang Le in.
"It's nothing, I just arrived," Yang Le waved his hand to show that he didn't mind. Just from the fact that Odin could make Heimdall let him in, he understood that Odin definitely knew what thing he was bringing.
The thing Yang Le brought was related to the life of Odin's son, and the person who wanted to take his son's life was his own brother. Not to mention others, even Yang Le himself estimated that he would need some time for psychological preparation.
Odin said, "I also hope you don't blame Heimdall. He is the guardian of the Rainbow Bridge and also the first line of defense of Asgard, so his reaction to certain things is very sensitive."
"That's natural," Yang Le nodded again. Responsible individuals are preferable to their irresponsible counterparts. Yang Le wasn't petty enough to harbor resentment over such a small matter; thinking about someone 'seeking death' would be absurd.
After explaining to Yang Le, Odin then shifted his line of sight to the hammer that Yang Le was holding in his hand. Even he couldn't help but reveal a hint of surprise at this moment.
"This is the first time I've witnessed someone, unqualified as they are, lift a restricted weapon."
Yang Le curled up the corner of his mouth, put the hammer between him and Odin, and after a stretch, said, "To be honest, this business is not simple at all. I spent a lot of strength to pick it up."
"I can imagine," Odin nodded. "After all, it's not as simple as picking up a glass of wine."
"Actually, the process is quite similar," Yang Le blinked his eyes. "You reach out your hand and pick it up."
After hearing Yang Le's words, Odin was stunned for a moment, then shook his head with a chuckle, and said, "A decent joke; even an old relic like me finds it amusing."
"Alright, it's time to get to the main topic," Odin restrained his smile. "Child, where did you discover the hammer, and why did you know of its existence?"
"I've been investigating two mysterious organizations on Earth, and following a faint clue, I tracked down a Dark Elf spy hidden on Earth."
Yang Le said the reason he had thought of long ago. Although Odin knew about things related to the Multiverse, the identity of a Multiverse visitor was indeed a bit awkward, even if this Universe was created by Yang Le.
If possible, Yang Le still didn't want to reveal the identity of the Creator, as it would easily create a gap between him and others. Without absolute certainty, Yang Le would not reveal his divinity in public.
When he heard about the Dark Elf spy, Odin frowned, but he did not interrupt Yang Le's narration. Instead, he did what a listener should do, which was to listen quietly.
"My friends and I employed some means to extract news from the Dark Elves, learning they were on Earth searching for a hammer. Following these clues, we stumbled upon the secret base I'd been seeking."
Speaking of this, Yang Le stretched out his right finger and pointed to the hammer, then continued, "In the Antarctic Continent on Earth, I found the secret base of those guys. I didn't see a single human there, but I did discover this hammer in the base's deepest aspect."
"Then, with immense strength, I managed to lift this hammer. Just as I accomplished this, I saw a guy."
Odin's only remaining eye suddenly shrank. He interrupted Yang Le's narration for the first time and asked, "What does that person look like?"
"He wore snake scale armor, and a sword with a spiral hilt hung at his waist," Yang Le looked solemn. "He claimed to be Great Serpent God Kur, the source of fear. He told me that I was not qualified and should not lift the hammer, and then expelled me from that space."
"When I regained consciousness, I was back at the base, yet I still lifted the hammer. I knew this situation was significant, so I came to you."
After listening to Yang Le's narration, Odin was silent for a long time.
"Sigh~" Odin sighed deeply. "What is destined to occur will inevitably happen, even if I've delayed it for millennia, it's futile."
"Is there a story behind this?" Yang Le inquired wisely.
Odin sighed again, and then told Yang Le the secret history of Asgard that Yang Le already knew again.
However, Yang Le's knowledge was only superficial. The Source of Fear is, after all, an old story. Unable to catch up on comics in the Marvel Universe, remembering even the basics was commendable. Odin's narration served to refresh his memory of the details.
"According to the prophecy, when my brother Kur returns, he and Asgard's most exceptional Crown Prince will meet their death together."
When he said this, even Odin couldn't help but his eyes turn red. Fratricide, this is simply the most terrifying tragedy in the world.
"I had hoped Thor wouldn't be so exceptional, which is why I indulged Loki and his childish agreement, hoping Loki could slow Thor's development. But who could have foreseen this boy's ambition? In just a few centuries, he became Asgard's most outstanding Crown Prince."
Odin couldn't help but hold his brow. To feel weary because his child is too accomplished, he might be unique in the Universe.
In these thousands of years, Odin was proud and happy about Thor's growth on the one hand, and on the other hand, he felt crisis because of the prophecy that seemed like the Sword of Damocles.
This prophecy had tortured him for millennia. Now, witnessing this hammer, Odin's mood was complex beyond comprehension.
"Can't this hammer be destroyed?" Yang Le questioned. After all, without the hammer, the Big Snake would be unable to descend.
"No, child," Odin shook his head. "The Big Snake's descent is inevitable. It's a predetermined fact. His hammer is indestructible before his arrival, even for me."

Chapter 718 Odin's Treasury
Prophecy, a very mysterious thing, rarely appears in the American Comics Universe only to not come true after being spoken. Basically, if it's spoken, it will happen, at most with some means to delay its occurrence.
However, prophecy can also be tampered with by some special means, but the results are basically unchanged.
Of course, it is possible to tamper with prophecy, but the prerequisite is that you need to have the power of an Abstract Entity Level to change the facts that are bound to happen. Odin, although powerful, is still far from being able to tamper with facts.
Yang Le has only one alien hero with this ability, and that is Alien X. The Celestialsapiens possess the ability to arbitrarily change everything in the world. This ability is not only reflected in tangible entities, but also in those invisible and intangible things.
Omnipotence is not just talk.
However, changing the facts that are about to happen is not a simple business. Moving one part affects the whole body, and this will cause unpredictable butterfly effect to the future.
The Celestialsapiens explicitly prohibit this matter. Although they are always unknowingly making changes to the Universe, consciously affecting the Multiverse is indeed not allowed.
For example, Ben was once sued by High Elder Starbeard for using the power of the Celestialsapiens. If he hadn't been quick-witted and used the Tetramand Judgement Law, then Ben might have really lost the case.
Even saving the world can be judged, let alone changing the world for one's own selfish desires.
Not to mention that outsiders would disagree with this matter, even Oz and Mamon, the other two consciousnesses in Yang Le's body after he transforms into Alien X, would not agree to this matter, because it is equivalent to arbitrarily interfering with the basic operation of this world, which is something that all Celestialsapiens do not allow.
Therefore, it is impossible for Yang Le to solve this matter using the simplest method of Alien X. If he wants to solve this matter, he can only find other means.
Looking at the worried Odin, Yang Le couldn't help but feel pity for this old person. In the eyes of people at this level, this matter is basically a dead end.
Under the condition that the prophecy is not fulfilled, no one can destroy the Sky Hammer to prevent Kurse from descending. Except for the human who meets the prophecy condition, otherwise no one can kill him.
Even if Odin personally takes action, he can't kill the Serpent, even if his strength far surpasses the Serpent who was sealed for who knows how many years, because even Odin does not have the power to change established facts.
Moreover, in the original Comics, Odin may have been somewhat insane, perhaps because he was anxious to save his son.
Odin's plan is to eliminate all creatures on Earth, so that the Serpent cannot obtain strength from the fear of creatures, and then kill him while the Serpent is at its weakest.
It has to be said that this plan is already dogshit to a certain extent. Who would have thought that this idea was conceived by Odin? It's even wiser than wisdom behind a locked door.
Without malicious speculation, Yang Le can only attribute it to Odin's anxiety to save his son, otherwise he can only describe him as brain-dead.
In fact, in Yang Le's view, the Big Event of Fear Itself is not serious. As long as the Serpent is released, and then Thor goes up and exchanges blow for blow with the Serpent to the limit, then absolutely nothing that happens later will occur.
It can be said that the biggest drag in the entire Fear Itself is Asgard led by Odin. Until the end of the War, this One-Eyed Old Man was still thinking about giving Earth a hard blow, even though the Serpent had already recovered seventy to eighty percent of its strength at that time.
But this is just a conclusion drawn from the perspective of an outsider. After all, as long as readers are clear, Thor is a popular character and Marvel cannot abandon him, and will definitely use various reasons to revive him.
However, as people who actually have to face these things, Odin and Thor do not know what will happen later. They do not know that they will definitely be resurrected. For them, this is a battle to the death.
But even so, Thor will not hide away from the war, but will face the difficulties and accept his fate to face death calmly. This kind of great courage is not something everyone can possess.
Yang Le does not know whether Odin of this Universe will come up with that kind of brain-dead plan again, but he believes that Thor of this Universe will definitely choose to do the same thing as Thor of the Main Universe.
Obviously, Odin also knows this, otherwise he wouldn't be standing here worrying.
"Still can't think of any good method." Odin sighed. "The only business we can do now is to try to slow down the Serpent's descent as much as possible."
Odin lowered his head and looked at the hammer at his foot, and continued, "But there is still good news. Yang Le, you found the Sky Hammer and brought it to Asgard. As long as it is properly kept, it might be able to delay it for thousands of years."
After Odin finished speaking, he reached out and grasped the hammer handle of the Sky Hammer. Just as his palm touched the hammer handle, a purple electric current suddenly burst out from the hammer, climbing along the hammer handle to Odin's arm.
"Bang!"
As if someone had pushed him, Odin took half a step back, and looked at the smoke emerging from his palm, he couldn't help but smile wryly and shake his head.
"It seems that even his weapon doesn't like to be touched by me."
The resistance of the Sky Hammer did not damage Odin, but this time it was just a warning. Odin knew that if he insisted on picking up the hammer, he would definitely suffer violent resistance, which would cause a great commotion and might even attract Thor.
"Let me do it." Yang Le did not expect the Sky Hammer to cause such a big commotion, even though he did not encounter such great resistance when he picked up the hammer.
Picking up the Sky Hammer again, this time it was a little easier than last time, and Yang Le did not receive the same resistance as Odin.
"It seems that it should be reacting to my Odin Force." Odin put forward a guess. "Forget it, it's not important. Child, please come with me."
After speaking, Odin took the lead and walked outside the door. Yang Le saw this and quickly took two steps to follow behind Odin.
Without a word along the way, Odin led Yang Le through a long corridor, twisting and turning to arrive in front of a tall door.
This gate doesn't even need to be opened. Just looking at one side, you can feel its weight. Various exquisite carvings are engraved on it, looking more like a work of art.
"This is my Treasury." Odin explained without turning his head. "Inside are stored all the treasures I have seized since I was able to go to the battlefield. There are various dangerous weapons inside, as well as sacrificial items that can summon terrifying creatures. In short, it is an aspect that must never be known to those villains."
(End of Chapter)
Chapter 719: The Upcoming Great War
Odin's Vault, to put it directly, is actually Odin's Trophy Room, storing all sorts of dangerous items that Odin seized from his defeated foes.
The items contained within Odin's Vault are not fixed. In Comics, Movies, Animation, and other works, the items stored in Odin's Vault are not all the same.
Take the Casket of Ancient Winters, for example. This item is recorded as being stored in Odin's Vault in the Movie, but in Comics and Animation, the location where the Casket of Ancient Winters is stored varies.
There's no helping it, Marvel Comics is just too big. It's difficult for these Authors to reach a consensus when creating, not only regarding the storage location of a certain Thing, but even situations where a Character is clearly dead, yet inexplicably Revives.
Therefore, even Yang Le isn't very clear about what's in Odin's Vault. Maybe there are even Infinity Stones inside, who knows.
But thinking so much is useless. Anyway, we'll know once the Treasury opens. However, since Odin can bring Yang Le here, it represents that he indeed views Yang Le as one of his own.
Not to mention ordinary Humans, even Odin's own children are not qualified to come here casually. To enter Odin's Vault, one must obtain Odin's approval. No one else has this Power, not even Queen Frigga.
"This Gate and the Treasury itself were both crafted by the Dwarf King personally leading the top craftsman from Nidavellir. They incorporated many Precious Metals, including Uru Metal, and even used a Branch of the World Tree."
Odin placed his Hand on the Gate, like caressing a piece of art, stroking it while explaining.
"A Branch of the World Tree?" Yang Le was a bit surprised. The World Tree, which carries the Nine Realms, is not ordinary Goods. In Comics, the World Tree has had many wonderful performances, such as the Hammer Handle of Mjolnir being made from a Branch of the World Tree.
Don't underestimate this Branch. Its sturdiness might even exceed the Hammerhead of Mjolnir.
"It seems you know its greatness." Odin nodded. "Any single Thing stored in my Treasury could bring Danger to the Nine Realms, so we must treat them carefully."
"To break through this Treasury head-on, even I would have to expend a lot of Strength. The only Method to easily open it is through my Divine Word. Open Door."
As soon as Odin's Words fell, the exquisite patterns on the Gate began to move, pulsating as if they had come alive. The Circle Lock at the Center of the Gate began to rotate, and with a series of clicking sounds, the Gate slowly opened.
Unlike the exquisite Gate on the outside, the interior of Odin's Vault is very simple. A long Corridor, wide enough for two or three people to walk side-by-side, with a Pillar erected on either side of the Corridor at regular intervals.
In the Center between every two Pillars, there is a stone platform. Placed on top of the stone platform are all sorts of wondrous Things.
Yang Le roughly glanced over, and at first sight, he saw a stone basin. What was contained in the stone basin was not some tangible Substance, but a raging Flame that was constantly burning.
Yang Le recognized what it was at first glance. This was no ordinary Flame for lighting. It should be the Eternal Flame that Odin seized from Muspelheim.
The Eternal Flame is one of Surtur's Power sources. With it, Surtur and without it are practically two different people. Odin specifically stole it from Muspelheim in order to weaken Surtur's Power.
It was precisely because he lacked the Eternal Flame that Surtur was defeated in the Duel with Odin. Otherwise, the Power of the two should be roughly equal.
Next, Yang Le also saw some familiar Things, like the Casket of Ancient Winters. Here, it was closer to its appearance in Comics, an exquisite box that was entirely red with gold trim, with a skull as a Lock right in the Center.
Next, there were also some Treasures that were briefly mentioned, or Things that Yang Le didn't recognize. In short, the Things contained in Odin's Vault were indeed numerous, exceeding Yang Le's expectations.
Odin led Yang Le deeper in, until they reached an empty stone platform before stopping. Needless to say, Yang Le understood Odin's meaning and placed Mjolnir on it first.
After placing Mjolnir, Yang Le took two steps back, moving out of the range of the two Pillars. Just as he stepped back, a blue Light Screen suddenly appeared, but quickly disappeared again.
"Second layer of Protection," Odin explained. "A simple yet reliable Shield that can both protect these Things and serve as an Alarm. When someone triggers the Shield, the Alarm Sound can be heard throughout Asgard."
"We should go, Child." Odin said, taking the lead to walk outside. It seemed he not only didn't treat Yang Le as an Outsider, but also had great trust in his Character, not once obstructing Yang Le's Line of Sight along the way.
Of course, Yang Le himself had no interest in these Things. The Little Broken Watch is just too comprehensive, and coupled with the bionic Instant Messaging he created himself, it's now difficult for these External Force to move him.
In a place Yang Le couldn't see, Odin was actually observing him. After discovering that Yang Le only glanced twice and didn't look at anything else in the Treasury, Odin nodded almost imperceptibly, becoming even more satisfied with Yang Le.
After the two of them walked out of the Treasury, Odin spoke again.
"Child, I have a request to make."
"Hmm? What is it?"
Yang Le looked at Odin with doubt. He felt that the God King in front of him was being too polite, even giving him a feeling of discomfort.
"I Hope you can Help Thor cope with the upcoming Crisis." Odin turned around and gazed at Yang Le with his only Single Eye. "I am very dissatisfied with the Prophecy that is about to happen. Just wanting to take my son's Life with a single sentence? Don't even think about it."
"Even if the Child in the Prophecy is not Thor, it's still unacceptable. Asgardians can die on the glorious Battlefield, but absolutely cannot die because of a boring Prophecy."
"I started making Efforts for this Prophecy thousands of years ago. Currently, Asgard, Nidavellir, and Vanaheim are all prepared, but the water in this matter is deeper than I thought. Even the Dark Elves have gotten involved."
"Malekith is a cunning person. He won't fight unprepared battles. It's impossible for him alone to challenge the alliance formed by the Three Realms. In order to undo the Seal of the Big Snake, he will definitely unite with others."
"I don't know how many people he has united. Jotunheim? Muspelheim? Or perhaps Helheim. Asgardians are not afraid of Challenges, but this time the flames of war may very well spread to Midgard."
"I Hope you can unite the capable and strange individuals of Midgard and form a Team." Odin's Gaze was burning. "Once the war starts this time, it will be difficult for us to take care of Midgard anymore. I Hope you can protect yourselves as much as possible."
(End of Chapter)
Yang Le left Asgard with a mission.
Although called a mission, Odin's request actually coincided with what Yang Le had been doing recently. After all, Eternity had also told him to try to build a local Superheroes Team.
However, Yang Le had indeed not paid much attention to Reed Richards and others' situation recently. He handed over this mission to Franklin Richards.
But this kid had been busy chatting with Mayday Parker recently. It's unknown if this guy had forgotten family affection because of love.
Yang Le thought about the many details of his conversation with Odin. According to Odin, Malekith was very likely to have joined forces with others, so relying solely on those in the New York Ruins was definitely not enough.
This was different from the previous petty troubles. This was already a crisis in the category of war. As a minority, the heroes would find it difficult to stop the enemy's vast army.
The other side had an army, so Earth also needed an army to overcome these difficulties.
At this time, national power became particularly important. Coincidentally, Yang Le was also going to investigate the situation of SHIELD and Hydra, so Yang Le planned to contact the S.H.I.E.L.D.
And for the first meeting with the S.H.I.E.L.D., Yang Le planned to start with that young Sword God.
...
Looking as far as the eye could see, the golden woods stretched endlessly. Occasionally, a few trees that seemed not to have sensed the changing seasons still retained their emerald green. The collision of the two colors formed the stunning scenery of the Greater Khingan Mountains.
Even though it was already autumn, various animal activities were still frequent in the Greater Khingan Mountains. They were preparing for the upcoming autumn, and the next period of time would be the busiest time of the year.
But today, a group of uninvited guests broke this busyness, causing the animals, who were usually busy with winter provisions, to all shrink back to their home, not daring to come out.
Even the brown bear at the top of the food chain, and the fearless wolverine were no exception, because a group of creatures that should not have appeared on Earth were unreservedly emitting their malice.
"Swish swish swish!"
Several figures quickly passed through the woods, their speed reaching the point where they were invisible to the naked eyes. In just over ten seconds, they had passed through a large woods, and only stopped when they reached a slightly sparser area.
What kind of monsters were they? Their bodies, as thin as firewood, showed no muscle. Skin, like dry bark, clung tightly to their skeleton, even outlining the joints. In some parts, bone spurs even grew out, making people shudder.
There were a total of eight such monsters. They poked out their heads and sniffed in the air with their noses, which only had two openings left, searching for prey like hyenas.
The leader was a slightly stronger monster. Sniffing for smell for a long time but getting nothing obviously made it unacceptable. It began to roar in a low voice, and its claws also began to scratch wildly on the ground.
This scene obviously frightened its followers. The other seven smaller monsters retreated a few steps, fearing that they would be caught up and become the leader's punching bag for venting rage.
"Roar!"
The leader monster roared at the other monsters behind it. The latter first shrank back slightly, and then responded to the leader with a flattering-sounding cry, and then dispersed and ran in other directions.
The leader monster waited until the other subordinate left, and then lowered its head again, sniffing smell as it crawled forward.
"Rustle."
A slight rustling sound made the leader monster alert. It raised its head and looked in the direction of the sound, only to see a few golden leaves slowly falling from the air.
The leader monster immediately reacted and looked up along the trajectory of the falling leaves, only to see a sky-covering canopy of leaves and branches, and a white short-haired teenager sitting on a branch.
The teenager was wearing a black uniform light armor with red edges, and his lower body was covered in dark red skirt armor. Most of the teenager's face was covered by a black mask, and only a pair of fierce eyes and raised eyebrows could be seen.
"I didn't expect that a thing without ears could have such sensitive hearing." The white-haired teenager said. Perhaps because of the mask, the sound sounded muffled, and coupled with being in the middle of puberty, the sound sounded very strange.
"Roar!"
The monster, like a wild dog that had seen fresh meat, roared wildly at the teenager sitting on the branch, and at the same time, it strode its limbs and ran towards the teenager on the great tree.
"Noisy!" The white-haired teenager raised his eyebrows, and his right hand reached behind his waist, and a dark red short rod was drawn out by him.
Watching the menacing monster, the teenager calmly raised his right hand holding the short rod upwards first, and then flicked it downwards. A shadow of streaming light flashing with fire color then lashed towards the monster.
The ear-piercing sound of wind resounded through the silent Greater Khingan Mountains. The fire-colored streaming light, like a meteor, solidly struck the monster that was jumping up. Instantly, countless sparks burst open, and the monster landed with a wail.
Because of the slender and large body size, when the monster rolled on the ground, it splashed up blinding smoke and dust. However, the teenager, being in a commanding position, was not worried at all that the monster would take advantage of the smoke to sneak attack him.
Sure enough, before the smoke had dissipated, the monster had already made a comeback. A blurry shadow broke through the smoke and rushed to the teenager's presence in the blink of an eye.
The teenager remained calm and composed. His right hand holding the rod suddenly pulled, and the fire-colored streaming light that had spread around the monster at some point suddenly contracted, tightly binding the airborne monster.
Only then could it be seen clearly that the fire-colored streaming light was originally a whip flickering with red energy. Golden-red light spots were constantly overflowing from it, looking like flame was burning.
However, this streaming light was indeed like flame. The monster, entangled by the whip, wails continuously. These streaming light were eroding its body, leaving fire-burned whip marks on its originally withered body, just like the teenager had just whipped it.
"It's time to hit the road, ugly monster." The teenager said this, and the hand holding the short rod suddenly twitched. The whip that bound the monster tightened again. In terrifying wails, the monster turned into light spots of flames and disappeared without a trace.
Like fireflies, light spots of spark were about to fall to the ground. A cyan energy, like wind, meaningfully rolled them up, forming a weak vortex in the air.
Seeing the familiar energy, the teenager jumped down from the great tree and turned his head. Sure enough, he saw a girl with a head of black hair, wearing a black uniform. Although the girl was youthful and beautiful, the most eye-catching aspect was the silver bracelet she wore on her hand.
It was a table made of pure silver, carving with mysterious patterns like snake scales on it. At intervals, it was inlaid with a white jade bead. At first glance, it was not an ordinary thing. At this time, the jewel on the bracelet was emitting a faint blue light.
The girl's beautiful black eyes glared at the teenager when he turned his head.
"How many times have I told you? We are in the Greater Khingan Mountains. Do you want to cause a forest fire, A-Cheng?"
Looking at the girl who was glaring at him, the teenager called A-Cheng scratched his head, didn't say much nonsense, and directly apologized.
