Chapter 384 - Chapter 696:700

Chapter 696: Kings Meeting (2)

Daughter of Surtur watched the axe blade, as large as a Mountain, fall towards her, yet she remained completely unfazed. Instead, a manic Smile spread across her face as she extended her Right Hand behind her into empty Air.

Instantly, a Sword Blade radiating orange Light emerged from her Palm. Once free from Daughter of Surtur's Palm, the Sword Blade, initially only as thick as a Slap, rapidly expanded, becoming nearly as large as her Body in the blink of an eye.

Yet even then, the Giant Sword, as large as a Door panel, appeared almost comically small compared to the colossal Giant Axe bearing down like a tidal wave. The difference was akin to that between an American Muscle Car and a toothpick.

However, Daughter of Surtur remained unfazed. Leaping into the Air, she gripped the 'Giant' Sword and slashed upwards towards the Giant Axe. Seeing that the two were about to collide, Malekith shrugged with a hint of resignation before dissolving into Smoke and vanishing from the Original Spot.

Meanwhile, Hela remained motionless in the Original Spot, wrapped in her Cape, calmly observing the impending clash of the two Divine Weapon.

"Bang!"

Sword and Axe finally collided, the immense Qi Wave generated rippling outwards. Heat Wave and Cold Wind intertwined, resulting in a stalemate where neither could overcome the other.

Laufey's Arm wielding the Giant Axe recoiled sharply, causing his Body to lean back slightly. Conversely, Daughter of Surtur was propelled even further back by the Great Strength of the impact, only regaining her Build in the Air after crashing through a Mountain.

Daughter of Surtur erupted in boisterous laughter, jets of searing Flame erupting from her Foot, propelling her towards Laufey at an even greater Speed than before. Clearly, crashing through the Mountain had inflicted minimal Damage.

If Daughter of Surtur was barely affected, Laufey, who had only been slightly thrown off balance, was even less likely to have sustained significant Damage. He merely swayed momentarily before regaining his Body. However, Daughter of Surtur was approaching too rapidly; attempting to wield the Axe knocked from his Right Hand was clearly no longer an option.

Thus, Laufey instinctively raised his Free Time Left Hand. The moment his Left Hand clenched into a Fist, it became encased in a thick layer of solid ice, its sheer thickness rivaling the Ice Mountain surrounding them.

Seeing this, Daughter of Surtur hurled the Giant Sword from her Hand. The Giant Sword arced through the Air, and then she thrust her Right Hand forward, unleashing a burst of Flame resembling the mushroom cloud that engulfs a Little Boy upon falling.

The Flame did not dissipate in the Air; instead, it solidified into a colossal Hand, no smaller than Laufey's Fist, which seized the Flame Giant Sword mid-Air. As the Giant Sword was clutched in the Hand, a pillar of Fire erupted skyward, and upon its dissipation, a truly formidable Giant Sword remained.

The massive Hand wielding the Giant Sword slashed downwards towards Laufey's Fist. Should these Attacks collide, the resulting impact would undoubtedly dwarf their previous clash, potentially drawing Odin's attention – a scenario Hela was determined to prevent.

A swirl of green Smoke enveloped Hela's Body, and then she transformed into a Raven, appearing between the two combatants with astonishing Speed. This signified Hela's intention to directly confront their Attacks.

Confronted with this formidable Thing, Hela, having reverted to her Humanoid form, simply extended her Left Hand and Right Hand towards their oncoming Attacks. Observing her demeanor, one might mistakenly believe she was merely about to restrain two Students throwing clumsy punches.

Yet, this seemingly nonchalant Act yielded unforeseen consequences.

Flame and Cold Wind simultaneously struck Hela's Hand. At the very moment of contact, both the tangible solid ice and the intangible Flame transformed into wisps of Ashes, symbols of utter ruin, which then drifted gently downwards with the Mist permeating all of Niflheim.

Daughter of Surtur and Laufey simultaneously ceased their Attacks. Had they not, their own Bodies risked suffering the same fate as the elements they commanded, and their Nations would soon be seeking new Kings.

"Cease this, Cynder, Laufey," Hela commanded, observing the two as they reluctantly regained their Calm. "I selected this Meeting Location precisely to avoid detection by Odin, that Old Timer. I do not wish for that Old Timer to be privy to my plans beforehand, is that understood?"

Though phrased as a question seeking Opinion, Hela's tone was utterly resolute. Her seemingly approachable demeanor masked an undeniable air of superiority, prompting one to question whether the true nature of their relationships aligned with her pronouncements.

Whether it was an alliance or a manipulation, only those Presence knew the truth within their Hearts.

"Our Goals for gathering here may differ, but the ultimate outcome upon achieving those Goals is the same, and that is the Reason we have convened."

Malekith, who had vanished for some Time, reappeared as if from nowhere. This Time, he held a Crystal Ball in his Right Hand. As his Left Hand, resting upon the Crystal Ball, rotated slightly, the once pristine crystal grew cloudy.

Like a Crystal Ball one might receive as a Christmas Gift, as the indistinct forms – be they snowflakes or Mist – dissipated, a Woman's Face materialized within the Crystal Ball. Though a Mask obscured half her Face, it was evident that the Woman possessed considerable beauty.

"I confess, I anticipated this Party would be rather tedious. Little did I expect such a grand Act to unfold before my very eyes," the Woman within the Crystal Ball jested, though her Smile faltered and vanished as Hela cast a sharp glance her way.

"Silence, Haven!" Hela commanded icily. Not only the Woman named Haven, but every other individual Presence fell utterly silent. The stillness was so profound, one could have heard a pin drop, and even the sporadic Cold Wind seemed to cease its whisper.

"I Hope you all understand that internal strife is unacceptable, particularly when we face a formidable common Enemy. Bear in mind, that Old Timer possesses the Power to extinguish any of our lives with a mere whim."

No one offered a Response to Hela's Words, yet they all knew the Queen of the Underworld spoke truth. Odin Borson, the God King of Asgard and Guardian of the Nine Realms, wielded undeniable Power, a fact acknowledged by these otherwise imperious Kings.

"Leave your petty kingdom squabbles behind. Here, Kings are hardly a rarity. I, Hela, Queen of the Underworld; Cynder, Flame Queen, Daughter of Surtur; Laufey, Giant King of Jotunheim; Malekith, Dark Elf King; and Haven, Angel Queen."

"You may possess Invulnerability within your own Aspect of dominion, but when confronted by God King Odin, we are no more significant than Ants, easily crushed beneath his Foot. I Hope you will remember this Point."

"Remember this: we are but a swarm of Ants, Ants with the audacious ambition to devour an Elephant. Unity is our sole advantage, our only path to victory. I will brook no further Words that undermine this unity. Next Time, I shall personally excise the dissenting elements."

Chapter 697 Council of Kings, Conspiracy Points Directly at Asgard

Hela's honorable Declaration of the Weak did not lower the morale of the Allied Forces. Those here were all old hands who had lived for who knows how many years; their will was not something that could be wavered by a few words.

Hela's words were just to give Laufey and Sindr a platform to step down. It was okay for Laufey; despite appearances of this guy being big and stupid, in fact, he possessed cunning that belied his appearance.

To achieve his goal, the Giant King could abandon many things, especially for the hatred between Jotunheim and Asgard; even dignity Laufey could temporarily abandon.

But Sindr was different. Among the emperors present, her seniority was the shallowest. Although she had also experienced thousands of years of rule, everyone present was an old undead who didn't know how many years they could live.

This thousand-year rule sounded very long, but in fact, it was only a fraction of the time of old kings like Laufey, Angel Queen, and Hela.

Even Laufey and Hela were almost contemporaries of Odin, and they had fought for who knows how many years. In their eyes, Sindr was no different from a child, and still a bear kid.

After Sindr inherited Muspelheim, she also inherited her dad's bad temper, that domineering thought of "I'm the second, and no one is the first," stabbing with a sword whoever she didn't like, just like Surtur who almost pierced through the Nine Realms back then.

However, Sindr did not inherit her dad's strength. You must know that Surtur in his prime was a character that even Odin was afraid of. It could be said that he was the only one in the Nine Realms who could stand and fight Odin head-on.

Even Hela had to respect him a bit. If the King of Muspelheim was still Surtur, then Hela wouldn't need to gather a group of people to conspire in whispers here. Wouldn't it be simpler for a large group of people to follow Surtur and kill their way to Asgard to seize Odin's throne?

But unfortunately, if Surtur were alive, he would not cooperate with them. This guy possessed top-level strength and was also a top-level macho man. He almost never cooperated with anyone. Every day, his brain was filled with thoughts of how to hack Odin to death.

You could say he was reckless, but just relying on strength, Surtur also became Asgard's recognized strongest enemy, and also the opponent that Odin spent all his power to defeat.

The great battle between the two Supremes truly shocked the entire Nine Realms. The final result was Surtur's death, and Odin was seriously injured and had to return to Asgard to recuperate.

At this time, some guys who had been coveting in the dark for a long time saw an opportunity. Odin was seriously injured; didn't that mean that Asgard was at its weakest time now?

Subsequently, Malekith, who had just become the Dark Elves King, led his army to attack Asgard in a mighty manner. At this time, Malekith was in high spirits. As the most powerful mage in the history of the Dark Elves, he believed that he could take down Asgard without Odin.

But then he was slapped in the face. Thor led the Asgard army to meet Malekith's army head-on, and won a great victory over the Dark Elves with a steady and methodical method. Thor even almost captured Malekith alive.

This matter became Malekith's eternal pain, turning his initial simple idea of just wanting to invade Asgard into hatred of wanting to kill Thor.

In fact, it wasn't just him, everyone present had deep hatred for Asgard. Otherwise, these kings would not have put aside prejudice and cooperated with each other. You must know that apart from Asgard, friction between the other realms was also constant.

It was just that a larger goal was now in front of them, attracting everyone's gaze. If Asgard fell, these people would definitely fall into infighting due to uneven distribution of spoils. Everyone present was also clear about this matter.

But before destroying Asgard, their alliance was still very solid.

"For the destruction of Asgard, Laufey is willing not to pursue the Daughter of Surtur's offense." Laufey spoke first, sounding like he had forgiven Sindr. It was more like a superior's charity to a subordinate than a reconciliation.

Sindr naturally heard it, and just as she was about to retort to Laufey, she was stopped by Hela's gaze. Here, strength was everything. Although Sindr could rely on the restraint relationship to fight Laufey evenly for a short time, she had no advantage against Hela who possessed absolute strength.

She did not yet possess the strength to ignore everything like her father Surtur. Her father did not need anyone's help, and could kill his way through the entire Nine Realms with just a sword. This was what she dreamed of.

Sindr believed that that day was not far away, but now she had to endure.

"Tch!" Sindr clicked her tongue in displeasure. "Okay, what are you still standing there for? Let the meeting begin quickly!"

It was clearly because of her that the meeting had been delayed for so long. This child's temper was the reason why no one took her seriously.

'Sindr learned ten percent of Surtur's temper, but her strength is less than one-tenth of his.' Angel Queen leaned on her throne, her pure white wings draped lazily beside her. There was no trace of the nobility of an angel, but with the gauze clothing, there was a bit of charm.

Hela ignored Sindr and just floated in the air and said, "I just got news, Asgard has welcomed a new God of War."

As soon as this news came out, although everyone present didn't have much expression change, everyone could feel that the atmosphere surrounding this group of people had changed.

"Laufey heard the vibration from the highest platform just now and thought it was Odin, that old undead, doing something, but unexpectedly it was because of this."

Laufey sat down on the ground again, blocking the cold wind that blew from time to time like a mountain. Although the cold wind of Niflheim was biting, it was still not comparable to Jotunheim.

"This is bad news." Malekith still had an annoying smile on his face. "Letting Asgard lack a God of War is the first step in our plan. It was clear that this first step was executed perfectly, but unexpectedly, we are now back to square one again."

"Tch!"

Sindr inserted the Flame Greatsword into the ground and said irritably, "Then what should we do? If Asgard has a God of War, our numerical advantage may no longer exist."

An army led by someone with War Godhood is inherently stronger than other armies. They are protected by the rules of this world, and the right time, favorable terrain, and popular support will unknowingly stand on their side.

This is also why they wanted to get rid of Tyr first, because the God of War is like a mobile fortress buff. Not only the God of War himself, but anyone who stands on the same side as him will receive a bonus. This person who is buffed also includes Odin.

(End of chapter)

Chapter 698 Wingless Angel

Godhood can bring great benefits to its holder, a fact known throughout the Nine Realms. Even the least knowledgeable Midgardian has recorded various miracles of the Deities in myths and epics, some of which are brought about by Godhood.

Just like Hela, as the Queen of the Underworld, she has a natural suppressive force against creatures within the Nine Realms. In most cases, she can arbitrarily decide the life and death of any creature, even for these arrogant Kings present.

Of course, this power of life and death is still somewhat restricted. For those with great Strength, or those with certain Characteristics, Hela cannot directly plunder their Life. Of course, she can also try to kill these people herself, provided she can defeat them.

Like Odin and Thor, these two are within this category. Hela cannot defeat the former, Odin, and for the latter, Thor, Hela cannot directly plunder his Life, nor can she kill him by force.

If Hela dared to do so, it would definitely provoke Revenge from Odin. Tyr was still killed by her using Prophecy, otherwise Odin would not have let it go so easily.

"Kill the God of War again? Just like we did a thousand years ago?" The Angel Queen raised her Opinion in the Crystal Ball, but was quickly refuted.

"I'm afraid that won't work." Malekith stroked his Chin. "A thousand years ago, we could still fool them with Prophecy, but after a thousand years, I don't believe that old geezer won't be prepared. Action in this situation is no different from walking into the Hand of a tiger."

"At the same time, the same Action may also Alert Odin," Hela also disagreed with the Angel Queen's Suggestion.

The Angel Queen was not annoyed by the continuous rebuttals. Instead, she Opening asked, "Then what should we do? Does anyone have a better Method?"

"I suggest standing still," Malekith said with a smile. "We have more Important Things to do. If we accomplish that Thing, Odin will no longer be a Threat. Then, no matter how many Gods of War there are, it will be useless."

"Laufey agrees with this Suggestion." The Giant King nodded. "Now the more Important Thing is to find that Hammer, and to find the Human who can pick up that Hammer. Any other Business can be postponed."

Malekith's Suggestion was approved by everyone present. It's not worth Alerting Odin for this Small Matter now. If they Alert the Enemy at this Time, all the Preparation of so long will be in vain.

After finalizing the first Business, the group moved on to the next Topic. This Time, the first to Opening was Malekith.

Malekith said, "My Subordinate discovered traces of that Hammer in Midgard. It seems that decades ago, a group of Midgardian obtained a Backup Plan left by that one in Midgard, and used Magic to bring that Hammer to descend."

"Do you know the specific location?" Cynder asked impatiently.

"Not yet." Malekith shrugged. "Because I haven't seen Thor's traces on the Frontline recently, I asked my Subordinate in Midgard to hide. Who knows if that Hammer-wielding brute will run to Midgard? It would be bad if he found out."

"And guess what? My Subordinate really did discover Thor's traces in Midgard."

"Thor ran to Midgard?" Hela frowned. "Do you know what he went to do?"

"Unfortunately, I can't find out about this." Malekith sighed. "I only know that he beat up a Midgardian in Midgard, and then made Friend with another Midgardian, just like he did hundreds of years ago. He never gets tired of repeating the same Thing."

As Malekith spoke, he spread out his Left Hand, and an Image was projected from his Left Hand, showing Thor and Yang Le talking at the Hospital entrance.

"My people dare not get too close to Thor. Even with the Help of Magic, they may not be able to avoid his Perception. So, currently, I only know that Thor went to contact a group of Midgardian after separating from this Midgardian, and these people all possess Special Ability, and are not Ordinary Person."

Malekith paused and then Opening said again, "However, these Midgardian do not seem to be his Goal. In the end, after wandering around, Thor went back to the Midgardian he met at the Beginning, and then the light of the Rainbow Bridge lit up."

"Using the Rainbow Bridge in front of Midgardian? It seems Thor didn't hide his Identity," Hela analyzed the Message. "Then it means this Midgardian might be very special?"

"Of course, it's also very likely that Thor's old Malfunction has relapsed," Cynder sneered at this. "I don't know what he's thinking, making Friend with those Ants."

"Malekith," Hela turned her Head. "Can you turn that Midgardian into one of us?"

"You mean to plant a Spy beside Thor? And finally stab him in the back with someone he Trusts?" Malekith widened his Eyes, his original azure pupils also turned blood-red, and the Corner of Mouth was about to split to the Back of the Head.

"Hahaha! Of course I can! I can't wait to see the Visuals of the famous Thor being betrayed by a weak Midgardian. What Expression do you think he will have then?"

Malekith's madness was completely different from his initial gentleness. That appearance was even more chilling than his initial fake smile.

Cynder pursed her lips unhappily. In her opinion, none of the people here were not Madmen. If her Strength was not insufficient, she would not cooperate with these people. Like King, piercing through the entire Nine Realms with a Sword was her desired approach.

"Congratulations, you have come up with another good Method," The Angel Queen in the Crystal Ball clapped her Hands and said, "But unfortunately, I can't Help you with anything, after all, Heaven has been expelled by Odin."

The Angel Queen's tone was full of Resentment. Initially, Malekith contacted her, using the Return of Heaven to the Ten Realms and Revenge against Odin to lure her into joining this Organization. But so much Time has passed, and neither of these two Things has shown any sign of progress.

"Don't worry, Haven," Malekith once again returned to his original elegant appearance. "You know, I will soon find a Method to welcome Heaven back, but before that, I need to obtain Magic Support from the Light Elves."

"You must know that relying solely on the Magic of the Dark Elf cannot accomplish the Thing of pulling the entire Heaven back. It's not that I don't want to Help you."

"Heh." The Angel Queen Sneer, but did not respond again. After all, she was the weakest party in the League. Although she didn't know why these people wanted to pull her in, she did indeed need these people now. After all, without them, Heaven would not be able to Return no matter how long it took, and Revenge was even more nonsense.

The Angel Queen sighed inwardly at being forced by the Situation, but her Eyes involuntarily glanced at a Figure standing in the Doorway, that person was the Strongest One of the current Heaven, Wingless Angel... Angela.

(End of this chapter)

Chapter 699 Meeting Ends

Angel Queen withdrew her line of sight. The meeting was not over yet; it was still too early to be distracted.

After exchanging messages, the meeting proceeded very quickly. After all, the goal had been set long ago, and the regular meetings were just to prevent any accidents from happening.

Hela said, "In that case, let's continue according to the original plan. Our top priority now is still to find that hammer and pull the Tenth Realm back from outer space. Both of these things require the effort of the Dark Elves."

Malekith bowed and indicated that he understood, showing no complaint about being burdened with too many missions.

After all, this was unavoidable. Hela's subordinates were only undead. If undead appeared in the kingdom of the living, it would cause chaos in the world and would definitely attract Odin's attention.

The body size of the Frost Giant was too large, and their appearance was different from an ordinary person. No matter where in the Ten Realms they were, they would be recognized at a glance, making them unsuitable for spy activities. The flame creatures ruled by Surtur were the same.

As for the Angel Race, who had relatively ordinary appearances, they were trapped outside the Nine Realms. This was also the reason why Angel Queen could not come to the scene in person; she still needed to wait for others to rescue her.

Therefore, most of the spy and search missions of the allied forces fell on the Dark Elves. After all, even if their appearances had some characteristics, they could hide them with their own magic, making them perfect spy choices.

"If you want to open the gate of the Light Elves, Laufey's army can help you," Laufey said in a voice like thunder. "As far as I know, those guys who laugh all day long are not as easy to deal with as they seem on the surface."

The Light Elves, who were the center of the discussion among several people, were a group of creatures living in Alfheim similar to the Dark Elves. Just like their name, this race revered beautiful things and lived in happiness almost all day long, just like elves in fairy tales.

But it would be a big mistake to underestimate them because of this. Because Alfheim's magical soil was very fertile, the Light Elves were almost all good at using magic. For those invaders who dared to invade them, they would use their magic to give the invaders a head-on blow.

The fact that they have been passed down for so long without being extinct shows whether the Light Elves are easy targets or not. Even Malekith was not confident that he could occupy the entire Alfheim in a short time.

But for their plan, the knowledge of the Light Elves was necessary. At least, the knowledge of the Dark Elves did not contain what Malekith wanted to know. Before Malekith notified them here, these guys only knew how to fight among themselves, and they didn't even know how much ancient knowledge had been lost.

In order to take revenge on Thor and to accomplish his great cause, Malekith eagerly wanted to obtain knowledge. Because knowledge had changed his own fate, the Dark Elf King understood the importance of knowledge very well.

"Then I won't stand on ceremony," Malekith said with a pursed-lip smile. "I do need someone to help me attract the attention of the Light Elves."

"Oh?" Laufey leaned forward. "So you have a strategy? How should I put it? How do you need Laufey to cooperate with you?"

"I need a feint attack," Malekith said, stating the strategy he had prepared long ago. "Just need to appear very fierce, no need to fight to the death with the Light Elves. As long as my plan succeeds, I can smoothly recover those happy-go-lucky guys."

"Understood," Laufey stood up, and the land shook again. "Laufey will launch a feint attack in two days, no problem, right?"

Malekith bowed and said, "That would be perfect."

"About that Midgardian, don't contact him for now, Malekith," Hela said after pondering for a while.

"Our main goal is the hammer. If we act rashly now, Thor might find out. When we find that hammer, you can play with him however you want."

"I understand," Malekith said with a disappointed face. "What a pity, I originally wanted to use this business as a diversion in my work. But there's no way around it, important business is more important."

Hela nodded. This was also Malekith's guarantee to her that Hela could rest assured. In order to achieve the goal, Malekith could abandon many things. He was a human who could distinguish between priorities.

If it were someone else, Hela wouldn't really trust him. For example, Surtur, Hela would definitely send someone to track her to prevent any mistakes.

"It seems that today's meeting is about to end," Angel Queen suddenly opening. "I don't care, but you can't all leave your nations for too long, right?"

Angel Queen's words were right. Those present were all Lords of a Realm, and they were all enemies of Asgard. Who knew if these guys who claimed to be Guardians of the Nine Realms would take the time to investigate them?

"It is indeed time," Hela nodded. "Today's meeting is adjourned. The next meeting is scheduled for ten years later. Of course, if any unexpected situation occurs during this time, the time of the meeting will be brought forward."

After Hela announced the end of the meeting, everyone left. There was not even a word of farewell or greeting. Those who didn't know would have thought they were strangers waiting for a car at the station.

Angel Queen was even more straightforward. She directly cut off the connection of communication magic. This response, she was again unable to help with anything. In the previous few times, Hela had at least asked her to develop Angel Technology, saying it was in preparation for the great war later, but this time she didn't even mention it.

In this way, Angel Queen didn't even know what this group of people had come to her for. You should know that Heaven was expelled from the branches of the World Tree, and it was not so simple to establish a connection with her.

Feeling a little uneasy in her heart, Angel Queen could only summon Angela, the number one general under her command, the Wingless Angel.

Wingless Angel, you can tell from the name that it is abnormal. In fact, it is indeed the case. An Angel without wings in Heaven is like a Midgardian without hands or feet, a deformed child.

However, in Heaven, not having wings is much more serious than not having hands and feet. Basically, all those without wings are male. These guys without wings who cannot fly have no status in the Angel Society system, so they generally serve as slaves.

But Angela was different. Despite not having wings, she actually possessed the ability to fly. This was a miracle that had never been recorded in the history of Heaven, and it was precisely because of this that she was able to escape the fate of becoming a slave.

Angel Queen had also received this different little guy. After officially encouraging her, she ignored her. After all, for Angels, benefit was the most important thing. Apart from the characteristic that Angela could fly without wings, there was nothing else worth paying attention to.

Under the rule of Angel Queen, Heaven emphasized benefit above all else. For people with ability, Angel Queen never stinged on her rewards, so Heaven would not have situations like malicious suppression.

In this situation, Angela relied on her own ability, and in just a few hundred years, she became the strongest warrior in Heaven, rising from the bottom of society to become a Valkyrie, second only to one and above ten thousand.

(End of Chapter)

Chapter 700 Angela

The Angel Queen's order had just been issued when a response came, and Angela, clad in golden armor, strode into the Queen's Palace.

Very flowing orange-red long hair cascaded down to her waist. Golden armor made of unknown metal covered vital areas, while the rest was replaced with specially made leather armor. This design ensured both the wearer's agility was not compromised and defense power was increased.

A sword with a red crystal embedded in its hilt was sheathed in Angela's weapon belt at her waist, hanging quietly behind her, adding a lot of valor to this Valkyrie.

Exquisite features were obscured by half of her faceplate. A pair of angel wings extended from both sides of the faceplate, adding a hint of ineffable holiness to Angela's appearance.

Even the Angel Queen had to admit that Angela was not only the strongest one in Heaven, but also definitely a top beauty, possibly even the most beautiful. Even though she already had a lover, there was no shortage of people who wanted to be bound together with her for life.

But unfortunately, Angela didn't react well to these people. Usually their conversations would end with Angela telling them to "scram."

Some people held resentment towards Angela because of this, wanting to use her identity as a wingless angel to suppress her. In the end, they were discovered by the Angel Queen and directly demoted to slaves.

The Queen had a scale in her heart. She was not stingy towards people of value, but she would not be lenient towards people who were not capable but still suppressed their partners.

"Did you call for me, my Queen?" Angela stopped at a suitable position, her hand brushed against the sword at her waist. This was a martial artist's habitual action and did not represent any disrespectful idea towards the Angel Queen.

Generally speaking, weapons must be removed before entering the Queen's Palace, but the Angel Queen had given Angela the right to carry a sword, because she could see that Angela was a subordinate who could be trusted; she would not be so casual with others.

At the same time, Angela was also one of the few who knew about the alliance between the Angel Queen and several other kings, because Angela was not only the strongest one in Heaven, but also the highest commander besides the Queen. Leading the army in battle still needed to rely on her.

It could be said that apart from the research and development aspect, Angela had excelled in all aspects, especially in terms of martial arts. No one knew which angel could give birth to such a unique child.

The Angel Queen had initially been curious about Angela's identity, but she investigated for several years and found nothing, so she gave up. It was likely that she was the child of angel parents who had died in the ancient war.

After all, Angela was born without wings. As a female angel without wings, this was an abnormality. One cannot rule out the factor of her parents abandoning the child due to face issues. In the end, this matter was dropped.

"I just finished a meeting, Angela," the Angel Queen said, propping herself up. "Guess what the process was like?"

Angela opened her mouth and said, "I guess it was another round of deceit and betrayal."

"Pretty much," the Angel Queen said, waving her hand to dismiss the gold coins placed in front of her. "I still can't understand what exactly Hela and the others are thinking. What thing in Heaven is worth coveting for them?"

"No matter what they covet, my sword will sever the claws they extend," Angela assured firmly.

But these words couldn't give the Angel Queen any reassured feeling. Angela was indeed strong, but facing Hela, she was not enough of a match, especially considering it was the allied forces led by Hela.

The Angel Queen had always believed that Hela definitely had some conspiracy against angels. Otherwise, it was really unexplainable why she would go to great lengths to contact her.

Although angels were famous mercenaries in ancient times, their strength was not particularly outstanding. Rather, it's more accurate to say that apart from Asgard and Muspelheim, which was once ruled by Surtur, the strength of the other realms was similar.

Even Midgard, which was recognized as the weakest in ancient times, had many tricky capable people and unusual individuals. The angel mercenary army usually fought in conjunction with their employers. If it were their army alone, they would be far from reaching the point of inspiring awe.

Angels also knew this. Not only that, they cleverly used this aspect to make a fortune from war spoils.

When an employer hired angels, the angels would send someone to find the employer's enemy and tell him that someone had hired them to attack him. If he wanted to settle the business, he would have to pay a higher price.

If the enemy obediently paid the money, then the angels would turn around and help the current employer to attack the previous employer. Of course, if the original employer could pay an even higher price, the angels wouldn't mind betraying again.

It was because of this characteristic that angels' reputation had always been not very good, but there were still people who hired them, not for any other reason but because once they received money, they really went to work. They wouldn't do the maneuver of taking money but not doing business, provided that you paid enough money.

Bad reputation, a race with no special aspect, the Angel Queen still couldn't understand what Hela wanted to do. This business had troubled her for hundreds of years.

"Forget it, I won't think about it anymore," the Angel Queen sighed, stopping the waste of brain cells.

"Angela, don't slack off on the army's training during this time. According to Malekith, he may release us soon. At that time, we must be prepared for both the Asgardians who come and the betrayal from those in the alliance."

"Yes, my Queen," Angela saluted. "The army's training has been ongoing. At the same time, the military factory has also completed the research and development of the latest battle mecha. After testing, it can already be put into production."

"Good," the Angel Queen nodded. "No matter what, in a year, order all angels to enter a state of preparation for war. Tell them everything then."

The Angel Queen stood up. In an instant, laziness faded from her body, and the temperament belonging to a king finally revealed itself.

"Remember this, Angela, this time can only be brought forward, absolutely impossible to postpone. Our Heaven is about to return to the embrace of the World Tree again. We are going to take revenge on those Asgardians and vent our rage!"

This kingly temperament infected Angela. The firewood of hatred accumulated in this teenager general from childhood through constant exposure was finally ignited at this moment, turning into the fire of hatred towards Asgardians.

This flame became her power, and it would eventually drive her to wield the sword in her hand and swing it towards those Asgardians.

The Angel Queen looked at the general she had personally promoted and nodded in satisfaction. She knew that she had endured a lot of doubts in order to promote Angela. If Angela lived up to expectations, she would also feel proud.

The Angel Queen waved her hand, signaling Angela to leave. After the latter left, she returned to that lazy state again and lay down on the bed.

She had made all preparations and was now waiting for news from Malekith.
