Chapter 368 - 616-620

Hyperion has been missing for half a day.

Power Princess had been standing in the Conference Room of the Supreme Squadron Building for some time. Although she was physically present, her mind had long since wandered.

However, Power Princess knew that no matter how anxious she was, she couldn't leave the Tower even half a step. As the Leader, Hyperion had been abducted by an unknown Superhuman in broad daylight. If she, the Second-in-command, were to disappear as well, it would truly cause chaos.

Now, she could only send out Sentinel Robots to search for Hyperion's whereabouts. Hyperion did have other Superhumans under his command besides her, but most of those guys had only surrendered after Registration and had all been subdued by Hyperion's Power.

Power Princess, and even the dumbest person, wouldn't easily mobilize such people. Compared to them, Power Princess was more willing to trust those Robots that had been programmed.

However, these Robots were made by Howard Stark, and this Guy had recently shown obvious discord with Hyperion. Because of this, Power Princess had to constantly monitor the real-time Images transmitted back by the Sentinel Robots.

This exhausted her Mental Effort. Just then, she thought of another relatively reliable person—Magneto.

Although she wasn't clear on the actual Situation, Magneto was at least their Ally and a mutually reliant existence with Hyperion. At this Time, Magneto definitely wouldn't want Hyperion to be in trouble.

As if grasping at a life-saving straw, Power Princess contacted Magneto. Only after receiving a positive Reply from him did she slightly relax and propose the Idea of replacing the Mutants who were guarding the New York Area with Sentinel Robots.

Her Purpose was obvious: she wanted to send more Manpower to find Hyperion. Magneto, of course, understood and readily agreed, promising without hesitation.

But in fact, this was just a Means for him to cover up his True identity. He had long known where Hyperion was at this Time.

Cold Wind blew Magneto's Robe as he strode into an Ice and Snow Land. The reason why he had come to this place was to find his troublesome "Ally."

By using Magneto's Ability to amplify Charles's Ability, coupled with the various Abilities he had absorbed over the years complementing each other, Onslaught's Telepathy had already surpassed Charles's original level.

Although he couldn't cover the entire Earth, he could still cover the Distance from America to the Arctic.

That's right, Hyperion was in the Arctic at this Time. To be precise, he was in Onslaught's Presence.

A huge Water Pit suddenly appeared on the originally boundless ice surface. This Water Pit was as large as a Football Field. Hyperion, who had Fainted, was now Floating in the Water Pit, floating face down.

Fortunately, Hyperion didn't need to breathe. Otherwise, without waiting for Onslaught to arrive, this Time would have been enough for him to drown a dozen times over.

Onslaught waved his Hand casually, and Hyperion, who was still submerged in the Water, was pulled out by an invisible Power. After being pulled out of the Water, he floated at a constant speed to his Presence.

Hyperion at this Time could only be described as disheveled. The Battle Suit he was wearing was long gone. His exposed Skin was covered in burns of varying sizes, and there were also many wounds that looked like they had been slashed out with a Weapon.

What was strange, however, was that these wounds also had some burns associated with them, making one wonder if someone had heated their Weapon red-hot before using it to fight, otherwise how could such strange Injuries appear?

These strange Injuries were distributed all over Hyperion's body. If it were an ordinary Human, he would have died thoroughly long ago. Fortunately, he wasn't an ordinary Human. These terrifying-looking Injuries were far from taking his life.

Onslaught could see that these Injuries were just Flesh wounds and hadn't damaged Hyperion's Muscles and Bones.

Moreover, the reason Hyperion had Fainted was also very deliberate. This place was the Arctic, naturally freezing cold. Hyperion was covered in burns all over his body. The person who attacked him and abandoned him here obviously didn't intend to drown or freeze him to Death.

It was very obvious that they intended to use this cold ice Water to alleviate the burns. With this ice Water alleviating his Injuries, coupled with Hyperion's powerful Self-Healing Ability, even if Onslaught hadn't come to find him, Hyperion would have woken up on his own before long.

Onslaught observed the Speed of Hyperion's Injury recovery and calculated that Hyperion's Injuries would be completely healed in about an hour. This result Shocked him greatly.

Was Onslaught Shocked by the Speed of Hyperion's recovery? Yes, but not because the recovery Speed was fast, but because the recovery Speed was too slow. He had already witnessed the latter's recovery Speed when he fought Hyperion before.

It was almost as if the Injury appeared one second and disappeared the next. If Onslaught's eyesight hadn't been extraordinary, he probably wouldn't have even noticed that he had been injured.

But this was Hyperion, and now not only was he injured, but the recovery of his Injuries was so slow. This couldn't help but make Onslaught feel a trace of curiosity, and this curiosity was mixed with a trace of fear.

A Chinese proverb says it well: "Never underestimate the Heroes of the World." Luckily, I was smart and found a shield, otherwise, wouldn't these Injuries have fallen on me?

Onslaught secretly rejoiced in his cleverness. At the same Time, he looked at the extremely disheveled Hyperion and curled his lip in dissatisfaction. He had been hoping that he could block more Weapons, but he turned out to be just a Scarecrow, almost used up after just one use.

'This World is too dangerous. I can't expose my True identity too early.' Onslaught nodded secretly in his Heart, deciding to be more careful in his actions in the future.

Looking at Hyperion in his Presence, who had already recovered from some of his Injuries, Magneto pondered for a while. He felt that although Hyperion was useless, he didn't have a better substitute at hand, so he could only make do with him for now.

With a slight movement of his five fingers, Onslaught's Right Hand turned into a claw and clamped onto Hyperion's Head. He was going to completely brainwash the latter.

In any case, he was already a worthless piece of Goods. Then, he might as well completely exert his remaining heat and go crazy one last Time before Death. He would consider this making the best use of everything.

Onslaught prepared to completely erase the kind side of Hyperion's Brain, making him more paranoid and more insane. When he was attacked by the masses, he could secretly develop himself.

Such a brutal scene even made a Polar Bear passing by by chance unable to bear to watch. The instinct of a Creature prompted it to take its Child and leave quickly, lest they die an unnatural Death.

Onslaught, of course, noticed those Beasts. He didn't bother to take such low-intelligence Creatures to Heart. After using Telepathy to probe and confirm that the opposite side was just ordinary Animals, he didn't pay much attention to them.

Not only that, but while completely brainwashing Hyperion, he also kept his Telepathy radar on. The entire Arctic was under his surveillance, and no one could escape his watchful eyes.

Except for Yang Le.

At this Time, Yang Le, who had transformed into a Martian and Disguised himself as a Little Polar Bear, was observing everything right under Onslaught's nose. The Mouth hidden beneath the Fur curled into a slight arc.

'Surprise motherfucker!'

Chapter 617: Guiding Hometown Juniors

Just as a creature's physical Body can use Disguise to deceive the Eyes, it's also possible to hide in the Spiritual Plane, which is invisible and intangible.

Of course, just like some people have sharp Perspective and can see through Disguises, if the seeker's Spiritual Power is stronger than the hider's, then hiding is basically impossible.

But the Situation is exactly the opposite at this Time. Yang Le, who is hiding and transformed into Martian Manhunter, clearly has Psychic Power that surpasses Onslaught's.

Even if the latter (Onslaught) is strengthened, he can at most use Spiritual Power to cover half of Earth, while Yang Le can easily cover the entire Earth, and even use Psychic Power on Earth to detect the Situation on the Moon.

The Strength of the two in the Spiritual Plane is clearly not on the same level. Unless Yang Le is willing, Onslaught in his current state will never be able to discover him in this lifetime.

So why is Yang Le still here? It's obvious he has a purpose. What is it? It's Magneto who is rushing over to save Hyperion right now.

Of course, calling him Magneto at the moment is definitely inappropriate. Based on the obvious characteristic of Magneto and Professor X being one, Yang Le recognized who the Person in his Presence was at a glance: Onslaught.

Onslaught, this name is still quite famous. In the Comics, Onslaught once led a Big Event and even brought Franklin down.

This is not because Onslaught's own Strength is stronger than Franklin's. Although Gathering Divine Power has never had any dazzling performances, its Strength is already among the more stable types of Marvel Characters.

Of course, it's likely because he hasn't made many Entrances, so his value is maintained. The most typical examples are the Beyonder and Molecule Man, who have been brought out and used several times in recent years, and both of them have already depreciated to the bottom.

The reason why Onslaught was able to defeat Franklin is because he has an extremely powerful new Ability, Mutant Ability Absorption. No matter how strong you are, as long as you are a Mutant and the Distance is suitable, Onslaught can unconditionally absorb your Superpower.

It just so happened that the brat Franklin considered himself a Mutant, which led to being restrained by attributes, and a wave of four times Damage directly took him away.

And although the Abilities of Magneto and Professor X that Onslaught himself possesses are strong, they are not enough to support a Big Event. It was also thanks to Franklin's timely help that the Onslaught Big Event occurred.

But now, Franklin of Universe 9527 hasn't even been born yet. His parents haven't even fully hooked up yet, so the current Onslaught can't be considered a very powerful BOSS.

However, that's for the Main Universe. For Universe 9527, where Superheroes are in a transitional period, this mediocre Onslaught is still very suitable to be a BOSS.

But seeing Onslaught's cautious appearance, Yang Le began to murmur in his Heart. Why does this Guy look like a coward? He doesn't have the arrogance of Main Universe Onslaught at all. That domineering Aura from the Comics is completely absent.

What Yang Le didn't know was that Onslaught had been in Slumber since his birth. During that Time, the Spirit presiding over this Body was still Magneto's, but he completely awakened not long ago and stepped to the forefront.

Unexpectedly, just after coming out to move around, he happened to encounter the New York Event erupting and OBA coming out to cause Business. OBA is not like Eternity and other True Gods. He is not so particular. When making an Entrance, he doesn't bother with restraint to avoid causing an uproar.

OBA is for the Destruction of the World, so naturally he will be as high-profile as possible. Therefore, Onslaught, who was sent to investigate the Situation in New York with Spiritual Power, happened to see when OBA's Energy Burst erupted.

To put it bluntly, it's also thanks to Onslaught being a Spirit Body. If he were a real Human, he would have been scared to pee his pants. That is the opposite of the Creator TOAA of the Marvel Universe, and it is no exaggeration to say that he is the first under the Creator.

The newly born Onslaught is just a Junior in front of him. Even if he was really scared to pee his pants, he could use it as bragging rights, after all, he wasn't directly scared to Death.

Coupled with the subsequent detonation of the Sentry Bomb, Marvel's number one Super Hero, this series of combo Punches directly made Onslaught wilt. The World-Shocking Wisdom in his Brain was no longer even World-Shocking, let alone Wisdom.

He immediately shrank back and hid on Mutant Island, not daring to go anywhere. If Hyperion hadn't approached him and stirred up his Thoughts, Onslaught might have stayed in his nest for another year or two.

Even now that he has become ambitious again, Onslaught doesn't dare to make a Big Event, only daring to secretly engage in small actions in the dark. However, these cautious actions have become cowardice in the Eyes of Yang Le, who is used to seeing big scenes.

But it's better for him to be a bit of a coward, so that those Superheroes have some Time to develop. Otherwise, just the Abilities of Magneto and Professor X would be enough for these Rookies to handle.

Perhaps it's Time to accelerate the growth of the Heroes, Yang Le thought in his Heart.

Currently, the only Heroes on the surface of Universe 9527 are the Supreme Squadron and some street Heroes. There isn't even one who can handle major Events. This can't even be described as a transitional period.

But Yang Le's Hometown is a bit interesting. His Hometown is still as Peaceful as ever. There are no troubles that require Superheroes. Even if supernatural Events occur, the Divine Spear Bureau can nip them in the Cradle.

But even so, there are still some Superheroes emerging. Among them, the most representative are a Teenager named Lin Lie and a little girl with the Code Name Whirlwind.

These two can even be considered representatives of the new generation of Heroes. Yang Le also knows a little about them. It seems to be a Collaboration Comic jointly created by Marvel and Pig Farm in Reality. Although it belongs to the Marvel Worldview, the Plot Design and other aspects are handled Locally.

This results in them being more like Chinese People than those Cable-Pigtails people. In Yang Le's Perspective, they are at least a hundred times stronger than that Marvel Superhero called Monkey King.

I wonder if this Universe has this Monkey King. If so, then if I encounter him, I'll give him a Punch.

Thinking of the two Juniors from his Hometown, Yang Le had the Thoughts of guiding Juniors. Although he is not much older than them, there is a Proverb in China that says "Achiever is Teacher," and he is indeed qualified to teach them.

But teaching Superheroes is accompanied by Danger. The Dangers that Superheroes encounter are basically environment-changing, and at the very least, Walls collapse and Houses fall down. Yang Le feels heartache for damaging Hometown Infrastructure.

Sigh! Wouldn't it be fine to just bring them here?

It just so happens that in the Marvel Worldview, the Core of the Universe is Earth, and the Core of Earth is America. Here, they can get better Trials. This is not Yang Le having Ulterior Motives.

But how to get these two to America is a problem. Who would leave their Home and Business to go abroad for no reason? Especially to America, where freedom is so much that Firecrackers run into Campuses and make noise. Isn't this asking for Hardship?

Perhaps, Yang Le can contact the Divine Spear Bureau and let them think of a Method.

(End of Chapter)

Chapter 618 Divine Spear Bureau and SHIELD

Divine Spear Bureau, just from the name, you can tell it's an organization quite similar to SHIELD, and in fact, that's exactly the case.

Like SHIELD, the Divine Spear Bureau also has a very long real name, Strategic People Enforcement and Alert Regiment, abbreviated as S.P.E.A.R, which is the Divine Spear Bureau.

These two organizations are not just similar in name, they actually do have quite a history. It wouldn't be wrong to say they come from the same origin, and tracing back to the source, it can even be traced back to Ancient Egypt.

During that period, even the Mutant Apocalypse wasn't called Apocalypse yet. At that time, he was just a warrior named En Sabah Nur, following behind the Pharaoh as a younger brother, fighting on the battlefield together to deal with those ancient enemies.

Among them was the battle that involved the birth of the Divine Spear Bureau and SHIELD, the Invasion of the Brood. Yes, that's the race that shattered the Fantastic Twins Universe. From this, you can see why Yang Le was so shocked back then.

After all, the Brood sounds nice, but in Ancient Egypt, they were indeed defeated by the legions, which were mostly composed of humans at the time.

Even the leader of the legions at that time, Imhotep, the designer of the Ancient Egypt Pyramid, relied on a spear in his hand and a shield to kill the Queen of the Brood. And with this meritorious service, Imhotep ascended to the Pharaoh's throne until his death.

After Imhotep's death, his shield remained in the West. This shield, with its remarkable significance, attracted many capable and ambitious people. These capable and ambitious people formed the predecessor of SHIELD, which is the Brotherhood of the Shield.

The members of the Brotherhood of the Shield were all important figures who influenced the progress of the West. Almost everyone who can be found in history books was a member of theirs, such as Archimedes, Newton, Tesla, and so on.

Don't underestimate the members, each one is a great talent, but the trouble-making ability of the Brotherhood of the Shield is also considerable. Even the genes of SHIELD being infiltrated and turned against it in later years originated from this old predecessor. It's truly like father, like son.

Similarly, that spear eventually came to the mysterious East, also attracting many talented individuals and people with extraordinary abilities. This is also the origin of the Divine Spear Bureau's predecessor, the Brotherhood of the Spear.

Unlike SHIELD, the Divine Spear Bureau is still quite harmonious and hasn't caused any major troubles. Of course, outstanding performances are also rare. It may be because the Divine Spear Bureau doesn't police the whole world like SHIELD (laughs).

The Divine Spear Bureau only manages its own territory. Unless there are special circumstances, it rarely goes abroad.

Of course, if we use the saying of breaking the fourth wall, it's because the Divine Spear Bureau's entrance time is still too short, much later than those wacky and inferior early Chinese heroes.

Yang Le knows a little about those wacky and inferior ones. They are all products of stereotypes. There's even the Jade Emperor wearing Japanese warrior armor, which is really upsetting to see.

But recently, the Jade Emperor has also been reset and is finally no longer a Japanese pirate wearing a turtle shell helmet. At the same time, a new batch of Asian heroes has emerged.

The Wave of the Philippines, the Crescent Moon Goddess and Ice Flower Snow Moon of South Korea, and the Sword God Lin Lie and Whirlwind Lei Ling of China. Oh right, and there's also Ji Shuangshuang, who partners with Lin Lie but has no presence.

Relying on the Shapeshifting Ability, when Yang Le first logged into Universe 9527, he checked all the mysterious organizations he knew, including the Divine Spear Bureau.

This universe does indeed have the Divine Spear Bureau. As for those wacky and inferior superheroes, some exist, and some don't.

Whirlwind Lei Ling is already a famous superhero in Shanghai. They don't engage in any superhuman discrimination at home. It's just that all superheroes have indeed registered with the Divine Spear Bureau and automatically become within the system, considered special operations personnel. Even if you don't say it, the nation will keep it secret for you.

The policies are frighteningly comprehensive, and the welfare policies are also frighteningly good.

It's precisely because of the comprehensive policies that when Hyperion seriously brought up the Superhuman Level thing, the Divine Spear Bureau was dumbfounded.

"Ah? So you guys don't manage it?"

As for SHIELD... right, where did SHIELD go?

In Yang Le's head, it was as if a thunderbolt struck from thin air. Right, having been in this universe for so long, he hasn't seen SHIELD appear. When he checked information initially, he didn't seem to find anything related to them either.

But why did he only start to care about it after so long? Although SHIELD is a troublemaker, it does have an undeniable weight in the Marvel Universe. Logically speaking, Yang Le shouldn't have forgotten about it, right?

Yang Le, who had transformed into a little polar bear cub, was stunned for a moment and even bumped into the little polar bear of his previous form. How great is the power of Martian Manhunter? Even if Yang Le intentionally restrained himself, he still bumped it into a stagger.

The little polar bear didn't care about this. With its low intelligence, it only knew that Yang Le had hurt it. Being thick-skinned, it turned around and started biting Yang Le. The latter, helpless and not wanting to attract Onslaught's attention, could only play along.

Sure enough, Onslaught didn't pay attention to Yang Le's situation. He was still brainwashing Hyperion, and judging by his appearance, it should be almost completed.

Seeing that this superhero, who has been diligently protecting humans for so long, although he has been confused recently, is about to be destroyed in both spirit and flesh, Yang Le is not worried at all because he has already downloaded Hyperion's spirit with his line of sight.

This is also why he transformed into Martian Manhunter, not just to hide in the distance and eavesdrop, but also because he vaguely guessed that it might be because of Onslaught, so he downloaded Hyperion's spirit in advance.

Not only that, but while downloading, Yang Le also discovered the trap that Onslaught had set in Hyperion's brain, and cleared it away as a side matter.

So even if Hyperion's brain is now completely brainwashed, as long as Yang Le finds an opportunity to transmit the spirit to Hyperion's physical body, he can revive, but now is not the time.

'Sacrifice for the greater good!' Yang Le honestly thought. For the normal development of this universe, let Hyperion suffer a bit first.

Moreover, Yang Le's thoughts are not on Onslaught, who cannot cause any waves for the time being. The mysteriously disappeared SHIELD is what he is concerned about now.

After thinking it over, Yang Le came up with an answer, which is that someone deliberately concealed the existence of SHIELD. Not only that, but they also used some special method to make sure that no one would intentionally investigate everything about SHIELD.

If it weren't for Yang Le happening to think of the Divine Spear Bureau today, and consequently remembering SHIELD, which has a brotherly relationship with it, then he might have really lived on in confusion like this.

Of course, Martian Manhunter's merit is definitely also involved. The Martian's powerful mental abilities allow Yang Le to break through the control of that unknown ability. Otherwise, even if his brain was full of thoughts about the Divine Spear Bureau, Yang Le would very likely not be able to recall anything about SHIELD.

(End of Chapter)

Chapter 619 Cicada, Mantis, and Oriole

Yang Le couldn't help but grow even more curious. SHIELD, while a secret organization that couldn't be known by ordinary people, wasn't *this* secretive in the countless parallel universes.

Yang Le immediately thought of two possibilities. One was that something unexpected happened to SHIELD, forcing them to hide themselves. The other was that someone had eliminated SHIELD and deliberately concealed its existence.

As for the possibility of SHIELD not existing at all, Yang Le had considered it, but the Divine Spear Bureau was currently thriving. There was no reason for the original organization created by Imhotep to not exist, right?

'This is a bit interesting.' Yang Le nodded inwardly. After being in this universe for so long, he had finally encountered something interesting.

The answer to this matter was very simple to find. He could just transform into Alien X or ask Eternity, and he would immediately know the answer. But doing so was obviously meaningless.

Yang Le had this idea when playing games. You could use the wheelchairs given in some games, but you couldn't use external cheats (referring to cheat engines).

Unless the game deliberately tried to be annoying, Yang Le always adhered to this idea. Otherwise, what was the fun in playing games?

Although this matter was tricky now, it wasn't impossible to solve it himself. It was just that this matter obviously needed to be considered carefully in the long term.

For now, he should first handle the matters at hand before considering anything else.

Yang Le raised his head. Time continued to flow even as he was thinking. Onslaught had long since completed the brainwashing of Hyperion, and their figures had long since disappeared. He estimated that they were probably already in America by now.

Having confirmed the true identity of the mastermind and also beaten Hyperion to vent his anger, the matters here could be considered temporarily settled. Next, he should get busy with the affairs of those rookie heroes.

The rookie heroes Yang Le was talking about were the Fantastic Four and their group trapped in Old New York. Because he hadn't carefully investigated their state, Yang Le didn't know how they were doing now. They shouldn't have starved to death, right?

First, he sent a message to Gwen to ensure her safety, and also sent the group photo he took after beating Hyperion to Gwen. Only then did Yang Le fly towards Old New York City.

This scared the simple polar bear mother and child. How could their compatriot suddenly turn into a greenskin big guy? And he could even fly?

Before the two beasts could recover from their shock, they saw a Rainbow Bridge suddenly shoot out from the air, directly piercing into the ice surface. The two beasts had never seen such a spectacle before and immediately fled with wails.

The Rainbow Bridge, constantly impacting the ground, scattered the accumulated snow on the ice surface. Before long, a burly shadow walked out of the Rainbow Bridge. Winged helmet, metal armor, it was Thor, the Thor wielding the God Hammer Mjolnir.

Thor strode out of the Rainbow Bridge's range. The Rainbow Bridge behind him also gradually shrank until it disappeared. He tapped his helmet and frowned as he looked at the boundless expanse of white land.

"Heimdall didn't make a mistake, did he? Where did he send me? Is this still Midgard?"

As he spoke, continuous white vapor spewed out from his air. This reminded him of the time when he fought against the Frost Giants. Thinking of that, he became thirsty for wine.

Wine warmed the body, of course, this bit of temperature wouldn't make Thor feel cold. This was the same principle as quenching thirst by thinking of plums. Thor just wanted to drink wine to warm himself up whenever he saw snow.

He had just given Heimdall a jar of Asgardian wine, and he hadn't even gotten a single sip himself. Coupled with the scene in front of him evoking his emotions, Thor was indeed a bit thirsty.

Shaking his head, he threw the inappropriate idea out of his head. He still had the business given to him by Odin, King of Asgard. It wouldn't be too late to go back and have a good drink after finishing the business.

But looking at this vast expanse of white land, Thor also felt a headache. Would there really be a normal Asgardian willing to stay in this bird-shit aspect?

Odin had told him long ago that he was sent out this time to find a guy who possessed divine power similar to his older brother who had died long ago. So Thor naturally assumed that the one he was looking for this time was also an Asgardian.

Because of this, Thor naturally used his old Asgardian thinking to speculate about the other party. Anyway, he himself wouldn't like to live in this ice and snow land.

But Heimdall's eyes were very sharp. Nothing in the Nine Realms could escape his eyes. Thor didn't think that Heimdall had made a mistake. It could only mean that the other party had stayed here before, but had now left.

Thor released his right hand holding Mjolnir and bent down to scribble on the snowfield.

It wasn't that he was inspired by this ice and snow land, but as the current Crown Prince of Asgard, he could also be called both civil and military.

His martial prowess went without saying. Just talking about his literary side, Thor had been forced to learn a lot of runes and magic.

What he was doodling on the ground now was a simple tracking magic, used to detect the Asgardians around this area. This magic was very simple, and Thor finished drawing it in no time.

The runes were drawn, and the magic had also been cast, but Thor had an even bigger headache. According to the magic display, there had indeed been another Asgardian existence besides Thor himself in this vicinity, but the other party had disappeared out of thin air.

Thor stood by the water pit where Hyperion had once floated, feeling like his head was twice as big. According to the magic display, the last place where the Asgardian stayed was here.

Helpless, Thor could only expand the search range of the magic, no longer limited to the Asgardians. Only then did he finally discover something useful.

According to the magic display, there had been six creatures, including that Asgardian, staying by this water pit. Among them, one had been floating in the water from beginning to end. After the Asgardian left, another creature stood in his position for a while.

After that, that other creature flew to the side of two creatures in the distance. The three creatures began to pace around nearby. Then, another creature flew over and arrived in front of the water pit.

The last creature to arrive took away the one in the water pit. Then, the three in the distance flew away, one of them ran away, and finally, he, Thor, arrived here.

This back-and-forth made Thor's head ache. He simply didn't want to think so much. He decided to first go and take a look in the direction where the three creatures had flown away. After all, the three creatures had all flown away in the same direction, which looked very suspicious.

Moreover, this was also his only clue. If he didn't follow, Thor had no other ideas now.

With a casual wave, he summoned Mjolnir into his hand. Thor grabbed the strap at the end of the hammer and began to swing it. When the hammer had swung out afterimage, he suddenly flung it forward.

"Whoosh!"

Accompanied by the sound of air being torn, Thor was pulled out by the hammer. His speed wasn't slow, and in less than a minute, he could see land.

Chapter 620 Old New York Status Quo

In the dimly lit Underground Garage, Reed was scribbling on a Wall. Looking closely, one could see that the Wall was already covered with quite a few 'Cryptic Symbols'.

These Cryptic Symbols were actually special symbols from mathematics or other disciplines. They were mostly grouped in sets of two or three symbols, but there wasn't much connection between the symbols in each group, so they looked like Cryptic Symbols.

In the blink of an eye, Reed had drawn another set of symbols. These symbols looked chaotic and messy, and in fact, they were exactly that. Only Reed could understand these Cryptic Symbols.

These were all Codes that he had come up with on the spot. However, these Codes were not used to record events; they were actually some kind of code, recorded purely to help Reed recall things he had memorized, a kind of Associative Memory Method.

However, only he could use this thing. Susan and the others felt that using this Method would only increase the difficulty of Memory.

He carefully put the Charcoal Pencil in his Fanny Pack. Resources were scarce now, and Reed couldn't bear to waste even a small Charcoal Pencil.

Realizing his own actions, Reed couldn't help but sigh. He didn't know when these Days would end. Even though he wasn't a materialistic person like Johnny, he couldn't stand the Days they were living now.

Reed wanted to thoroughly Research the period that had occurred to himself and the others. In his view, they were simply untapped Treasure Troves, but due to the lack of various professional Equipment, Reed could only Test some basic, extremely basic Data.

Clearly, the unknown was right in front of him, but he couldn't unravel it. For Reed, this was no different from the most cruel torture in the World, making him anxious and helpless.

Shaking his Head, driving the unhappy Things out of his Brain, Reed lowered his Head and glanced at his Watch. It was almost Time for Breakfast, Susan should be coming to call him.

Sure enough, familiar Footsteps came from behind Reed. He slowly turned his Head and saw Susan walking into his Room. She was wearing Jeans on her lower body and a men's Plaid Shirt on her upper body.

There was no other way, Resources were scarce, and it was good enough to have Clothes to wear. The Plaid Shirt Susan was wearing was already the most intact and clean Clothes they could find.

But even such a Plaid Shirt, loved by Otaku and older men, couldn't detract from Susan's looks. She only buttoned the top two buttons of the Plaid Shirt and then tied up the long hem.

A Plaid Shirt was actually modified by her into a Bikini, looking very sexy. Reed couldn't help but take a few more glances.

"It's Time for Breakfast, Reed." Susan smoothed her Hair. "It's still chickpea Canned Food today."

"Then I think Johnny must be complaining again," Reed said with a smile.

Chickpea Canned Food, a classic American canned food, but its taste wasn't very good. Eating it was purely for filling the belly and couldn't satisfy the palate.

"Having something to eat is already good enough." Susan had a headache just thinking about Johnny's fussing. No one liked to eat chickpea Canned Food, at least not among their group.

"Johnny is just complaining," Reed said, comforting Susan as they walked. "That's just his Personality. He's always complaining, but he's actually very clear-headed in his Heart."

"That's why he'll never grow up." Susan ended the Topic. In this Environment, few people could maintain a Good Mood. Johnny was like this, and so was Susan.

Currently, the only ones who haven't been affected much are Reed and Ben. The former is because he is too smart, so he has always been very reasonable and won't let those negative emotions affect him.

The latter is because he originally had a Good Personality. Although becoming the Thing made him depressed for several Days, Ben wouldn't vent his temper on his Friends.

Susan and her brother were just disliking each other. At first, Reed and Ben were worried that the two would quarrel, but later they found that although the siblings were constantly arguing, they reconciled very quickly. Their quarrels were more like mutual venting, so they stopped interfering.

After all, none of the four were idiots. They knew that internal friction was not allowed under any Situation. Now, the changing situation outside required them to unite as one.

Only by supporting each other can they be reassured.

As soon as they reached the Hall, sure enough, Johnny was no longer complaining. He was pulling Ben to replay an old Soccer game. The latter looked very interested, and his two Stone brows were constantly twitching.

"Finally here." Johnny noticed the two who had just walked in. "I thought you guys were going to wait until Dinner to eat together."

"I was calculating some Data, and Susan waited for a while before notifying me."

Reed smiled and sat on a Metal Block. This was pressed out by Ben using a Motorcycle. There were Ben's fingerprints on the irregular Metal Block, and a Car Seat was laid on top to avoid pricking his Butt.

The Table they ate at was also a Car flattened by Ben. These were by-products left over from Testing Ben's Strength, and they were just right for waste utilization.

"The Serpent Gang seems to be getting more and more rampant." Ben carefully poked open the Canned Food with his Finger. "I heard it on the Radio Station. It seems someone made a simple Radio Station and wanted to call for help from outside."

"Is there such a Thing? When did it happen? How come I don't know?" Johnny frowned and ate a mouthful of beans.

"This morning. Weren't you out scavenging Supplies today? Of course, you didn't hear what happened."

Ben, like Popeye, poured the bean Canned Food into his Mouth, without even chewing. He touched his Mouth and continued.

"They said they stole Supplies from the Serpent Gang and were discovered by them. Helplessly, they could only call for help from outside. Tonight, the Serpent Gang will raid their Camp. They are already desperate."

"Dare to steal Supplies from the Serpent Gang?" Johnny widened his Eyes. "Those Guys are all Cold-Blooded Animals. I heard their Leader even eats Humans."

"Don't talk about such disgusting Topics during Breakfast." Susan glared at Johnny in dissatisfaction. The latter also knew that he had indeed said inappropriate Words and could only scratch his Head to change the Topic.

"Then what should we do? Just leave it alone?"

The Restaurant became quiet for a Time, and even the sound of spoons clinking disappeared. After a while, Ben's Voice slowly sounded.

"I want to go. I heard the Crying of a Child on the Radio Station."

"Is there such a Thing? Then you have to count me in." Johnny raised a Brow. "We two are good Partners. When the Time comes, you'll be at the front, and I'll set Fire in the back. It's simply a perfect combination."

As the two said this, their Eyes glanced at Reed, who was eating, in unison. After all, he was the backbone of this Team.
