Chapter 366 - Chapter 606:610

Chapter 606: Exposure

In the end, after a short discussion, everyone decided that Jimmy, who provided the information, should be the one to confirm whether the message he brought was true.

Everyone understood the difference between having enough to eat every day and just having one full meal. Although superhumans weren't as common as hairs on a cow, they had become less rare after the New York event. Everyone present felt it wasn't necessary to give up more money-making opportunities for an uncertain piece of news.

Facing everyone's decision, Jimmy outwardly appeared very happy, as if he were truly confident. But in reality, he had no confidence at all. Just like he said before, the source of this news was just a deduction he made from casually paying attention in his life.

There was no strong evidence to support his deduction.

Teenage boys are the most impulsive. Having acted so confident before, even for the sake of his respect, Jimmy couldn't back down at this point. So, under the gaze of his partners, Jimmy dialed the phone number to contact the Sentinel robot.

This was also Jimmy's first time calling this number. Stark Industries' television stations broadcast these numbers 24 hours a day. Even a student like him could easily find out how to talk to those superhuman robots.

But don't think these numbers are easy to get and try to make pranks by calling randomly. Once you do those things, not only will the Sentinel robot not accept your advice the second time, but in serious cases, the police might come knocking on your door.

That's right, after being tough for a long time, those big shots sitting in the office negotiated with Hyperion. Now the government will provide convenience for the Registration Plan until the plan is completed.

The government had no method to deal with Hyperion and could only go along with him. After all, they really had no method to deal with Hyperion. Many people even felt that this nation might be taken over by Hyperion.

The President of this nation might be replaced soon.

Holding this idea, Jimmy dialed the phone, and after reporting his position and message to the customer service, he and his partners hid downstairs of the building.

If the intelligence was true, the Sentinel robot would call them back. At that time, as long as they entered their electronic account through the phone, they could get a considerable reward.

Conversely, if it was fake, they would be immediately blacklisted, and the person calling back would become a police officer.

Logically speaking, they could have already left, but Jimmy and the others were all teenage boys who liked to find exciting things to do. What could be more exciting than watching a Robot Cop battle against a superhuman scene live?

With good luck, if they encountered a stronger mutant, they might even come across a big scene with four or five Sentinel robots handling a case at the same time. Filming such a scene and posting it online could sometimes bring in a considerable income.

Staying at Gwen's home for almost a week already, even Katie, who was usually informal, felt embarrassed. The longer she stayed, the more uneasy she felt.

But she really had nowhere else to go. Although her parents had luckily survived, Katie couldn't guarantee that they could really accept her as she was now.

Not to mention the increasingly intensified Registration Event against superhumans recently. Now even if Katie wanted to leave, Gwen wouldn't let her go. According to the current situation outside, even if Katie's parents accepted her, they might be caught in the increasingly intensified superhuman arrests and end up with family ruined and people dead.

Back and forth like this, it was even more impossible for Katie to leave. But because she really didn't want to have a free meal, she proactively took over the work of cooking food. For example, she was making breakfast right now.

Actually, it was just simply frying a few eggs and bacon, and toasting a few slices of toast. Anyone could do these chores, but to make Katie reassured, Gwen let her do it.

Today, as usual, Katie was frying eggs when she suddenly heard a knock on the door. This discordant sound startled her, and she almost threw the frying pan in her hand.

Calming down her mood, Katie glanced reproachfully in the direction of the doorway, muttering with resentment in her mouth.

"Strange? Who could it be?"

Suddenly, Katie seemed to have thought of something and clapped her hand, saying, "Right! Could it be Gwen's boyfriend is back? Gwen said that everything would be resolved when he came back."

Thinking that the days of hiding and thinking wildly all day long were finally coming to an end, Katie couldn't help but become happy. She skipped and hummed a popular song as she walked towards the doorway.

When Katie reached the doorway and was about to check who it was through the peephole, a small hand pulled her from behind. Katie subconsciously turned her head and found that Gwen, who was originally washing up in the bathroom, had silently come behind her at some point.

Just as Katie was about to open the door, Gwen took the lead and stopped her with a gesture. The latter shook her head, signaling Katie not to act rashly, and then took her hand and pulled her back to the living room.

"Wh... What's wrong, Gwen?" Katie asked in puzzlement.

"We might be exposed." Gwen's brow furrowed tightly. Just now, her Spider-Sense rang for no reason. Being battle-hardened, she naturally knew what this meant. So she immediately ran out of the bathroom and just happened to see Katie wanting to open the door.

"Exposed? You mean those robots!" Katie's eyes widened. Thinking of the ferocious performance of those Sentinel robots shown on the television, she couldn't help but shudder.

"Calm down, Katie." Gwen grabbed Katie's shoulder and looked directly into the latter's eyes. "Do you still remember your own ability? As long as you don't want to, no one in this world can damage you."

Hearing Gwen's words, Katie, who had just become a superhuman not long ago, remembered this. She hadn't gotten used to the fact that she had superpower, and occasionally still forgot about it.

"What about you, Gwen?" Katie's face looked a little better, and she immediately became concerned about her best friend. "What should you do? Why don't you run away quickly? I'll stay behind as bait. Anyway, they can't touch me, I'll be fine."

"Silly girl!" Gwen tapped Katie's head. "You just can't be touched, but it's not like you don't need to eat. When your stamina runs out, you'll still be caught."

"Then, then what should we do?"

"Don't worry." Gwen comforted her best friend. X-Bao, who had been mimicking a mobile phone, took the opportunity to climb up Gwen's shoulder from her foot.

"We can still fight our way out."

"Why is there no movement at all after such a long time?"

Jimmy observed the apartment building not far away. The long wait made the hot dog in his hand taste like wax.

"Logically speaking, even if it's mistake intelligence, there should be feedback by now? What's going on today?"

Unable to figure it out, Jimmy could only take a bite of the hot dog in his hand to ease the awkwardness. He didn't dare to look back at the gaze of his friends. That thing made him feel uncomfortable all over.

"Boom!"

(End of Chapter)

Chapter 607: Entanglement

The loud explosion startled Jimmy, causing him to drop the Hot Dog he was holding onto the Ground.

"Bang! Crackle!"

Immediately following was another loud bang. Jimmy's eyes quickly found the source of the Sound: downstairs, at the base of that Apartment Building.

A Sentinel Robot was lying on a sports car parked on the Roadside. The Robot no longer looked as imposing as it did in the Visuals on TV.

The damaged Armor, exposed Wire, and occasional sparks made people wonder if they would ignite the Gasoline leaking from the sports car.

"Ah!"

No one knew who screamed first, but after this Starting Gun, the Crowd immediately panicked. People consciously started to distance themselves from the accident Aspect, afraid of getting caught in the Danger.

In just a few minutes, most of the Civilians had evacuated the Street. Their Speed was as if they had been trained. Anyone would have to marvel at their professional efficiency.

Jimmy and his friends, who knew what was about to happen, were actually among the slowest to leave. But it didn't matter much; they were here to watch the show and make some extra Money by Video Recording.

Jimmy's Partner pushed him aside, grabbed the Recorder, and took the Position with the best Field of Vision. If the Video didn't have a good angle or was blurry, they wouldn't make any Money.

The Sentinel Robot lying on the sports car was clearly not destroyed yet. It was struggling to stand up, but something, perhaps a broken Module, was preventing it.

It looked both ridiculous and pathetic.

Seeing that the Sentinel Robot couldn't stand up, Jimmy and the others knew this wasn't over. Ordinary People might not realize it, but they had Reported incidents before and witnessed big events, so they knew better.

Once a Sentinel Robot encountered strong Resistance or sustained Damage, it would send an SOS signal. Reinforcements of Sentinel Robots would arrive within minutes.

"Whoosh!"

Sure enough, the Sound of Air Being Torn quickly approached. Jimmy and the others looked up to see several Sentinel Robots of different Forms Gliding through the Air, heading towards the Apartment with a large Hole in it.

"Please cease your Resistance immediately," several Sentinel Robots hovered in front of the Apartment, issuing a loud Warning in an emotionless Electronic Voice.

"If you continue your Stubborn Resistance, we will resort to Forceful Measures, and you are very likely to sustain Damage."

The cold Electronic Voice, combined with the Heavy Firepower Armament of the Sentinel Robots, sent chills down the spines of even Jimmy and the others watching from afar.

Probably only a Powerful Being like Hyperion could remain calm and collected in this Situation. Those dozen or so aiming Red Lines were truly terrifying.

Jimmy swallowed hard, his Eyes fixed on the distance, afraid of missing any exciting Visuals. He was now very curious to see what a Superhuman capable of taking down a Sentinel Robot would look like.

"Whoosh!"

Invisible to the naked eye, but through the Recorder's Viewfinder, Jimmy and the others saw a slender Thing shoot out from the Hole in the Apartment and stick directly to the lead Sentinel Robot.

"What's that?" someone wondered aloud. Unfortunately, no one could answer his Problem because their Recorder was cheap and couldn't clearly capture such a slender Thing at that Distance.

But they soon wouldn't care about that anymore.

"Whoosh!"

Another Sound of Air Being Torn. A Figure in black and white burst out of the Apartment through the Hole. Then, that slender, Rope-like Thing shot towards the Sentinel Robots hovering in the Air.

The black and white Figure was fast, but the Sentinel Robots were faster. Dozens of Weapons of various Forms, already prepared, locked on instantly. Deafening Gunshots and constant Muzzle Flash filled Jimmy and the others' Senses.

The Bullets formed an impenetrable Storm of Steel. Just as the black and white Figure seemed doomed, the Situation changed once more.

The black and white Figure in Mid-air suddenly emitted small sparks of pink Streaming Light, which stretched longer and longer as it moved at high Speed, as dreamy as a Meteor streaking across the sky.

The next second, those pink Streaming Lights suddenly exploded, transforming into terrifying Electric Snakes that surged through the Net of Fire of Bullets. Before Jimmy and the others could understand what was happening, the Figure had already broken through the Storm of Steel.

"Bang!"

The Speed, faster than Human Vision could perceive, finally stopped. Jimmy and the others could finally see the True Identity of the Figure. Even through the blurry Viewfinder, they could make out the opponent's slender Build.

"Those two Girls are incredibly strong..." Jimmy was so Shocked he couldn't close his Mouth.

Ignoring the Shocked Ordinary People, Gwen, having broken through the Net of Fire, crouched on the Sentinel Robot's Front Armor, tapped on its Helmet, and said in a relaxed tone.

"Hello! Anybody home?"

"Please cease your actions! You are damaging Stark Industries' Property!"

Hearing these Words, Gwen just Sneered in disdain. Destroying Property? With that Firepower just moments ago, if **Snowflake** hadn't helped, even she would have been killed instantly. Since they were so ruthless, they shouldn't complain about her being ruthless in return.

After all, they were just Robots without Personality.

A brief moment of thought was enough for Gwen to decide her Style of action. Before the Sentinel Robot could issue a second Warning, her Hand shot out towards the Robot's Head.

"Say goodnight!"

The Bio-Electrostatics from her Spider Ability made Gwen's Hand stick firmly to the Sentinel Robot's Head. As she put strength into her Arm, she effortlessly ripped the Robot's Head off.

Unfortunately, the Sentinel Robot's Control System wasn't located in its Head. However, the damaged Camera still caused some problems, preventing it from seeing its surrounding Environment.

For a Creature, this would be a major Problem, but for Robots programmed to achieve their Goal no matter what, it was insignificant.

"Beep! Beep! Beep beep beep beep!"

An urgent Alarm Sound blared. Even an Ordinary Person would understand what that meant. Clearly, the Robot was preparing for Self-Destruction.

"Naive," Gwen said, raising an eyebrow. Her Nano-crystal Battle Suit, fitting like a second Skin, allowed her Expression to be visible even through her Mask.

Gwen placed her Palm on the Sentinel Robot's Body. Unseen by the naked eye, Nanite Robots seeped into the Sentinel Robot's Inside Body.

"Crackling!"

Accompanied by a burst of Electric Current Sound, the Sentinel Robot, which had been blaring the Alarm, suddenly fell silent. But it quickly began a new action.

"Hum!"

The Sentinel Robot, now headless, raised both Hands, and the Armament attached to its Body activated as well. This time, it aimed its Goal at its Compatriot Sentinels.

"Bang!" Gwen said with a smile.

The Words had barely left her Mouth when Muzzle Flash erupted.

(End of Chapter)

Chapter 608 Escape

In front of Snowball, mere Sentinel Robots were still easily dealt with. Without Gwen even needing to lift a finger, the headless Sentinel Robot under her feet became her exclusive bodyguard.

"Just as expected."

Gwen, under her mask, slightly curved the corner of her mouth. Machine guards like these generally have their own independent network, precisely to prevent external hacking into the robots' network, thereby causing unpredictable consequences.

Without network connection, even Upgrade wouldn't be able to control Sentinel Robots out of thin air, but physical contact is a different story. The result also proved Gwen's conjecture to be correct.

As long as she had one Sentinel Robot, Gwen could rely on Snowball to reverse engineer through the robot's sub-network of that individual robot, thereby control the entire Sentinel Robot army.

However, operating in this way would very likely attract Hyperion. Not wanting to confront him head-on, Gwen didn't plan to make big news. If she just wanted to escape, it wouldn't be worth so much trouble.

Controlling just one Sentinel Robot is enough. These robots only carry very simple AI. To prevent them from killing each other or opening fire on ordinary people, Howard wrote down strict orders when writing the program.

In other words, all their behavioral patterns will avoid these two. So, the Sentinel controlled by Gwen will attack other Sentinels, but conversely, they will not attack it.

"My summer practice homework was better than this."

Gwen, swinging webs and leaving the encirclement, couldn't help but complain. Now that the trouble has been resolved, it's time to find Katie.

Just now, she and Katie had decided on this strategy: she would act as bait to lure away all Sentinel Robots, and Katie would then seize the opportunity to escape. Finally, the two of them would find a place to meet up again.

The first step of the plan has been completed. Now it's time to carry out the final step, the rendezvous.

Gwen then raised her right hand. The Snowball battle suit very humanely conjured up a screen for her. On it was playing a map, and in the map, a small red dot was constantly moving.

That small red dot was Katie. Gwen had placed a tracker on her, which would save a lot of time.

Projecting the map onto her visor, Gwen shot out webs and waved at the headless Sentinel in the distance who was wreaking havoc, saying.

"Bye-bye, good child."

Turning around in loose-fitting clothes and wearing a baseball cap, Katie tried hard not to look suspicious. She pretended to walk down the street as if nothing had happened, only occasionally moving her line of sight as if curiously looking at the shop on the street side.

Katie's footsteps were not slow. Except for the beginning when she could run a few steps quickly because she was mixed in with the crowd of fleeing people, when the crowd calmed down later, she had to slow down her footsteps in order not to arouse suspicion.

Fortunately, everyone had their own business to do, and plus Gwen had caused a relatively big commotion, so no one noticed her, such a nobody. In this way, Katie smoothly walked out of half a block.

'Beep beep!'

Feeling the vibration from the wristband on her wrist, Katie understood. This wristband was given to her by Gwen. The other party told her that with this, even if they were separated by a nation, she wouldn't get lost.

"Hey! Katie!"

Just as Katie's eyes were scanning around, looking for Gwen's figure, someone called out to her not far away. She subconsciously looked up and found that the person who called out to her was indeed Gwen.

The other party's appearance at this time was completely unlike someone who had just experienced a battle. Not only that, Gwen was even holding a drink in her hand. Her refreshed and leisurely appearance was just like an ordinary girl waiting to meet up with a friend and then go out to play together.

"Gw... Gwen?" Katie was stunned. The scene in front of her was completely different from what she had imagined. Weren't they still in a life-and-death escape just a second ago?

"It's me." Gwen finished the last bit of drink in her cup in one gulp, and then casually threw it into the trash can behind her.

"What's wrong? Aren't we going to the shopping mall? What are you still standing there for?"

Perhaps she was tired of waiting, Gwen stepped forward two steps and took Katie's right hand. The two of them set off hand-in-hand like this.

"But... you... I..." Katie stammered, not knowing how to open her mouth. She was afraid that if she opened her mouth, she would give herself away, letting everyone on the street know that they were superhuman who were escaping pursuit.

"Don't worry, it's all resolved." Gwen said with a normal expression. "Just a bunch of bad dogs, nothing to be afraid of."

"Then we are now..."

"Going to the shopping mall? Didn't I just say that? Are you worried about me being injured? Don't worry, a bunch of Chihuahuas can't hurt me."

Katie was dragged by Gwen to stroll around the shopping mall for half a day. Finally, after finishing lunch, she was dragged by Gwen again to come to a warehouse.

"What kind of place is this?" Katie looked at the warehouse covered in graffiti with some unease.

This place looked like the kind of place that those street thugs like to come to. Tasteless graffiti was everywhere. Katie couldn't even tell what the original color of the wall was anymore.

She didn't even dare to look down, for fear of seeing some balloons filled with white liquid, or various needles.

"The place we're going to live next." Gwen said in the most peaceful tone, saying the words Katie least wanted to hear. The latter only felt like she was falling into the abyss.

"Do we have to live here, Gwen?" Katie's foot seemed to have taken root, and she wouldn't even move a step. "I can go to work, let's still find a cheaper hotel."

"Why live in such an unsafe place?" Gwen frowned tightly. "I don't want to live in a place where you open the drawer and it's all 'chewing gum', and the bed and stuff must be dirty as death."

'Is this place any better?' Katie shouted in her heart in despair. But seeing that Gwen seemed determined to live on the street, and worried about Gwen, she couldn't just turn around and leave her alone. Helpless, she could only honestly follow behind Gwen.

Gwen seemed to be very familiar with this place. Walking to the modified door of the warehouse, she skillfully pressed a large red button next to the door. The next second, a doorbell that could be described as ear-piercing rang.

"Beep beep beep beep beep!"

Katie was so frightened that she shrank her neck. She looked up at Gwen and found that the other party also looked very uncomfortable.

"She still hasn't changed it." Gwen weakly supported her forehead, looking listless.

"Hey hey hey!" After the doorbell, a sound came from the door access control. Katie couldn't help but frown. Why was this sound so familiar? It seemed like she had been hearing it recently.

"Open the door, it's me, Gwen." Gwen ignored Katie behind her who had fallen into thought, and communicated with the person on the other side of the door access control on her own. But after she finished speaking, Katie immediately understood.

The sound coming from the other side of the door access control, wasn't it Gwen's sound? Although it was a bit messy because of Mike, Katie would definitely not mistake it.

(End of Chapter)

Just when Katie was still in a daze, the gate of the warehouse slowly opened amidst a burst of exciting music.

Then she saw a scene that made her even more bewildered.

"Hello Mrs. Yang."

Standing inside the warehouse, Gwenpool greeted Gwen outside the door. The latter was about to respond but was made to blush by the inexplicable address.

"Okay, Poole!" Gwen gritted her teeth. "Don't waste time on such meaningless jokes."

"You're the boss." Gwenpool bowed, then stepped aside. "What are you waiting for, beautiful lady? Hot cocoa is ready inside."

Gwen just glared at the clowning Gwenpool and pulled the dazed Katie into the warehouse. Gwenpool then noticed another human hidden behind Gwen.

"This is?" Gwenpool pushed her non-existent glasses, and after carefully identifying her, she raised her voice.

"Heavens! It's Shadowcat Kitty!"

Still in a daze, Katie was startled by the sudden sound. When she recovered, Gwenpool was already standing in her presence with a huge autograph book.

"Can I have an autograph? Write 'To Gwenpool from Shadowcat Kitty'."

"Ah, okay, okay…" Katie blankly took the paper and pen, and then blankly wrote down what Gwenpool had just said in the notebook.

"WOW!" Gwenpool held up the autograph book and exclaimed like SpongeBob SquarePants.

"No!" Katie suddenly woke up, and because she was too shocked, her sound even echoed in the warehouse.

"What's wrong, Katie?" Gwen seemed to come here often, and she already had two bottles of juice in her hand at some point. Judging from the water droplets and frost on them, they should have just been taken out of the refrigerator.

"Here, I thought you and Poole were getting along well, what's wrong? Did she bully you?"

Gwen handed a bottle of juice to Katie and continued, "Hope you don't mind, Poole is always more lively, but she doesn't have any malicious intent."

"It's not this problem, Gwen!" Katie looked very helpless. "There are two Gwens here! One you! One her!"

As Katie spoke, she pointed a finger at Gwen and Gwenpool. Gwenpool waved her hand at Katie when she was pointed at, as if to say hello.

"You mean this." Gwen awkwardly put the juice aside. "It's a bit of trouble to explain, just think of Poole as another me."

"Classic parallel universe, isn't it?" Gwenpool threw her autograph book out like a Frisbee. "The favorite of the science fiction genre, just apply it to things that can't be explained."

The autograph book slammed onto the shelf with a thud, and its accuracy was so high that people couldn't help but applaud her.

"You didn't even throw it in, Poole." Gwen looked at Gwenpool, who was striking a curtain call gesture, with black lines all over her head.

"What were those bubbles that just appeared?" Katie asked.

"You can understand it as Poole's superpower, just like your phasing and my spider-powers."

Gwen shot out a web and pulled the autograph book that had fallen on the ground into her hand. She casually flipped through a few pages and found that there were already many names she didn't recognize on it.

"You've added a lot of humans again, Poole. It seems you've been very busy recently."

"Of course, it's because I'm so special. The protagonist is always a little busy."

Gwenpool proudly puffed out her chest. Being needed by her favorite character and being able to continue her multiverse adventures, Gwenpool is very satisfied with her current life.

Moreover, even Yang Le cannot easily do the work she is doing now, doesn't this prove that she is born unique?

As expected, transmigrants are born protagonists!

Gwen sighed and shook her head helplessly. If you ignore the occasional clowning and those words that are hard to understand, Gwenpool is a very good friend, but if you count these, it's very tiring to get along with her.

Pinching the autograph book with two fingers, Gwen casually flicked it without looking, and the autograph book landed accurately on the shelf like a Frisbee. This time it was real.

"Just like I told you before Poole, we may have to trouble you for a while, of course, if you can contact Happy, we can leave early."

"Don't say such polite words." Gwenpool spread out her hands and put her arms around both Gwen and Katie. She said while hugging them.

"I've been looking forward to it ever since your message came. I've prepared a series of plans. We're going to watch superhero movies together, then tokusatsu movies, and finally horror movies, screaming like classic white people little girls."

"At the same time, while watching movies, we can also eat some high-calorie food that we usually don't dare to eat without guilt. You know, it's called relaxation day, but it doesn't matter, because we are virtual characters, so as long as the author is not an idiot, we will never get fat!"

'What the thing is she talking about?' Katie's brain was in a mush. She knew every word Gwenpool said, but she couldn't understand them when put together.

Katie looked at Gwen but found that the latter gave her a helpless gaze, obviously she didn't understand what Gwenpool was saying either.

"We can't relax, Poole." Gwen broke free from Gwenpool's embrace. "The world outside is very chaotic now. I need to train Katie to be able to skillfully use her power to prevent unexpected situations."

"Superpower training! Great!" Gwenpool's eyes lit up. "Guess what? I am the most knowledgeable person about superpowers in the entire Marvel Universe."

Gwenpool spread out her hands and began to gesticulate non-stop while still saying, "No one! Knows superpowers! Better than me!"

"That's great." Gwen seemed to breathe a sigh of relief. "I was worried about not knowing how to teach Katie. It's really great if you know the details in this area."

Looking at the two humans who were almost identical in presence, who had decided her fate like this, Katie could only show a relieved smile.

"Without further ado." Gwenpool hopped towards an object covered with cloth. "Let's start the first class training now."

After saying that, Gwenpool also walked to the presence of the object. She stretched out her hand and tore off the layer of cloth. The two of them could then see clearly what thing was being covered.

It was an automatic pitching machine, but it was painted with a layer of pink paint and decorated with some ribbons, making it look a little cuter.

"First class, death ball dodge!" Gwenpool licked her lips, looking at Katie who was already frightened and stunned.

"Get ready, it hurts a lot to get hit."

```
Chapter 610 Yang Le: Return
Gwenpool's idea was ultimately not adopted. No, it should be said that it was not fully adopted. The pitching machine was of course disabled, but the idea of pitching was retained.
If the force is controlled well, the baseball will not cause too much damage to Katie, but being hit will still be very painful, and this pain should stimulate Katie's body's protection mechanism.
Ordinary people will dodge or subconsciously block when they are hit. This is the body's protection mechanism. Even if you are not aware of it, your body will do it spontaneously. And the mutants' superpower itself is also one of the mutants' physical functions. When facing external damage, Katie may really be able to train her superpower to control it freely.
Katie looked troubled. To be honest, she really wanted to refuse this suggestion, but she couldn't think of a better method, so she could only accept it. After all, times have changed, and peaceful days are drifting further and further away.
Katie silently made up her mind in her heart. Even if she couldn't help Gwen against enemies, she had to at least not become a burden. Katie's gaze was bright, and her eyes seemed to hide a lion (laugh).
Gwenpool sat in her chair, watching Katie, who hadn't dodged a single ball and was squatting on the ground crying, eating a large bowl of Italian noodles with tears of empathy.
Of course, Gwen herself was pitching. Spider-Man's power control is top-notch. Among the people present, only she could make Katie feel pain without hurting her.
This powerful force control comes from Gwen's daily life accumulation. After all, if she doesn't control the force well, she can really turn people into mincemeat.
Yang Le once complained when Gwen broke her thing. He called Gwen a Humanoid Golden Cudgel, "a graze means death, a bump means demise."
Gwen didn't understand at the time. After going back and checking the information, she understood Yang Le's meaning. Knowing the truth, she couldn't help but feel a little amused in addition to being angry, because Yang Le's description was really accurate.
If it weren't for the suppression wristband invented by Yang Le at that time, America might have experienced school shootings and terrible violent incidents.
Thinking of the past memories, the corner of mouth of Gwen couldn't help but slightly curve up. Seeing this scene, Katie, who was just about to ask Gwen for comfort, suddenly became silent like a rooster whose neck had been grabbed.
She didn't expect to have been with Gwen for so long and not realize that she actually had S tendencies. Wouldn't she get more excited the more she cried out?
Just like that, Gwen was thinking about happy things, and Katie was thinking about terrible things. For a while, both people on the field were distracted, but the former's actions continued.
Although Gwen was distracted, her body continued to move. The next second, the baseball in her hand was thrown out.
The whooshing sound of air being torn was particularly harsh in the narrow space. Katie only felt like she had fallen into an ice cave. Her brain, which was originally distracted, became unprecedentedly clear.
She couldn't even see the baseball being thrown over. She could only see an unknown white thing rushing towards her at a speed invisible to the naked eyes. At this time, she only had one thought in her heart. 'Being hit by this will definitely be very painful.'
"Bang!" "Clatter." Katie turned her head blankly. A puddle of white fabric was embedded in the wall behind her. Her brain immediately told her the situation. Katie was so excited that she couldn't help but jump up.
"I succeeded!" Katie raised her hands high, jumping up and down in the original place. "Gwen! Did you see that? I can even dodge baseball of that speed just now!"
"Uh, yes Katie, I saw it." Gwen congratulated Katie, but her expression was a little awkward, which made the latter a little confused.
"What's wrong, Gwen?" "Your clothes!" Gwenpool, who had been holding back for a long time, finally couldn't hold it anymore. She slapped the armrest of the chair and laughed. "You'd better not use your ability in public in the future! Otherwise, you will become the Invisible Woman of the Comic Universe!"
Katie lowered her head and found that the clothes she had been wearing were piled up at her foot. What happened was self-evident at this time. Katie's face turned red instantly. Fortunately, the only two people here were girls, but even so, she wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl into.
Perhaps because of shame, Katie's ability was activated again at this time, and in accordance with her idea, she submerged into the soil. "Katie!"
"Damn it!" An old voice suddenly sounded, but it didn't cause much disturbance in the noisy crowd.
The person who cursed loudly was an old man. This was obvious. This standard old white man's skin had turned red because of the rush of qi and blood.
"The nation has become like this because those guys are incompetent! Letting superhumans ride on their heads and shit without even daring to fart, how can people without any courage govern the nation well!"
"Calm down, old man." The man standing next to him, with a cigarette in his mouth, looked nonchalant. "Hyperion is not an ordinary superhuman. Machine guns and cannons can't even scratch his skin. We ordinary people have no method to deal with him."
"That's right, that's right. Anyway, his goal is only superhumans, and it has nothing to do with us. Just bear with it and wait for him to finish messing around." The people next to him echoed.
"It's because of this kind of idea that your generation is becoming weaker and weaker." The old man sneered. "I bet this is just the beginning. The more it goes on, the more that superhuman will want. Do you really think he's cleaning up those freaks for our sake?"
"Who cares if he is or not." The man threw the cigarette butt on the ground. "We can't resistance anyway, just like my Mom was taken by my unknown Dad. In the face of absolute strength, we ants can't cause any disturbance."
"Even an elevator can support a family, but a black man can't?" The old man mocked the black man in front of him, but unexpectedly, the latter spread his hands and directly gave up.
"Say what you want. Anyway, I'm not thinking about getting married. My money will only be spent on myself." The old man's face turned even redder. He was not afraid of arguing or fighting, but he had no method to deal with this kind of rogue. Helplessly, he could only ignore the black man and start chatting with other people around him.
The black man felt bored when he saw that the old man ignored him. Teasing these old white men was one of his few pastimes, especially those who had been soldiers. Just a few words could make them jump.
The black man smacked his lips. The smell of tobacco made him a little clearer. Just as he was about to leave, he suddenly saw an unfamiliar Asian face. It seemed like there was new fun.
The black man put on a squinting and unconcerned expression and walked towards the Asian. As he walked, he kept opening his mouth. "What's up? Never seen before, buddy? Which nation are you from? Korea? Or Japan?"
"Bang!" The voices of discussion suddenly quieted down. Everyone turned their heads and only saw a black man falling to the ground, sleeping very peacefully.
