Little Lia entered the living room while holding her pillow. She saw Olly sitting on the couch with a mug of tea. She walked over and pointed at the mug. He smiled and nodded. She sat on the couch. He returned with a mug for her. He poured her tea, and added sugar and milk.
"Careful it is hot." She took it carefully and blew on it. She took a long deep breath of the steam. She felt Olly put an arm around her. She leaned into him while taking a small sip. They found a nice cartoon for them to enjoy. She tapped her feet against the floor. "Do you want some breakfast? Gen needs a bit more sleep so it will just be the two of us for a bit." She nodded while taking another sip. "Pancakes or cereal?" Little Lia held up two fingers.
Olly returned with two bowls and placed them on the table. Little Lia 's eyes lit up as she brightly colored marshmallows. She clapped her hands. Olly picked up a spoonful and offered it to her. She took a bite and wiggled a little from excitement. He chuckled while offering her another bite. He took a few bites from his own bowl. After breakfast they worked on a puzzle. Olly then changed Little Lia's pull up. He tickled her tummy and she giggled loudly. He picked up and lay her head on his shoulder. He patted her bottom. After she was all cleaned up Olly put her in his lap and read her a couple of stories.
"Sorry for sleeping in so late." Gen entered the living room to see the other two dozing again. It seemed like it was going to be a common sight. She would love to see it when she could. She gave each of them a kiss. Olly raised his arms and yawned. "You two seemed to have a busy morning." A small wine came from Little Lia on his chest. He rubbed her back and hushed her.
"Yeah, she's a real taskmaster when it comes to puzzles." He smiled. He lifted gently off his chest. A whine and a squirm and the little one was dozing on the sofa. "Are you feeling better?" He asked his hand to go to her forehead.
"Yes, I think so." She took his hand and rubbed his knuckles. "Sorry about that."
"Don't be, I know this time of the year can be tricky."
Olly made Gen some breakfast. Scrambled eggs, toasted and a lovely cup of tea. They enjoyed some quiet time while being able to see Little Lia dozing on the sofa. She awoke and they played a round of life with her. Gen and Lia cuddled while watching a movie. It was getting later in the evening.
"Hey Lia, do you want to take a bath?" She asked. "We haven't gotten to play with those duckies you picked out." Ophelia looked a little unsure.
"I… I" She paused. "Not sure. I don't think I've never been…"
"That is true," Gen said. "I could just draw you one, let you play in the water."
'"Gen could just give you a bath." Olly offered. "I understand, if you aren't ready to try that."
"I do want to try," She explained. "A bath sounds nice." She rubbed her arm.
"How about you play a little longer while we get it started? Let you, get back into a littler mindset." Ophelia nodded. She pulled some blocks toward her. She began stacking them, creating patterns with bright colors. She fiddled with her fingers. She was nervous, she had never been fully naked in front of them before. She cleaned up her blocks and slowly headed toward the bathroom. She poked her head shyly into the bathroom. The room smelled of lavender and chamomile.
"Hey sweetheart, do you want to take a look?" Olly offered. Little Lia shuffled into the bathroom. She reached her hand into the water. She nodded. The ducks' container was open and she reached in and took one. She turned it over in her hands. "If you want we can just let you relax for a while." She pointed at them and nodded.
"You want us to stay?" A very quick nod. "Alright, can you lay down so we can get you pull up off." She followed the order. Off went her shirt, and Gen gave her belly a tickle. Little Lia wiggled as she laughed. "You are such a good bunny." She told her as she removed her pants. "Do you want your pull up or your bra off first?" She pointed at her pull up. She covered her face.
"Lia, can you lift your arms please." She reached up and Olly pulled it up and over her head. She pulled her arms to her chest. "Alright bunny in the bath." He teased while helping her sit up. She climbed into the bath and pushed some of the bubbles around. Gen added her new ducks into the foam. Little Lia smiled and just played a little while. She pushed one duck to the bottom of the tub. She pulled it back out and water shot from its beak. She covered her mouth in surprise.
"That is the only one you get." Olly told her.
Gen wet her hair and slowly started washing her hair. It felt so nice, she leaned into it. She rubbed her scalp, she hummed softly. Gen tilted her head back and poured the wonderfully warm water roll down her back. Gen pour another cup.
"Does that feel good?" She nodded in response. She watched Gen hand Olly the conditioner. Olly gently ran his fingers through her hair. She again leaned into the gentle touches. Someone one washing her hair felt so good, she felt so… safe… loved? After Olly rinsed her hair and suddenly pulled out a washcloth and started wiping her face. She whined slightly. He handed it to Gen who slowly started washing her back. She smiled and lifted her arms when asked. After a few more minutes of playing with her ducks.
"Alright, it is getting close to bedtime." Gen said while holding open a towel for Little Lia to step into. Once she was dried off. Gen lay her down, Olly help hold her legs while Gen slid the thermometer into her bottom. She wiggled a little. Olly hushed her softly while they waited for the quiet beep. A nice wiped bottom and Gen patted her down with powder. They had even prepared pajamas. Olly picked her up and took her into her bedroom.
Gen pulled back the covers and Olly lay her down. A paci in her mouth and her pillow in her arms they tucked her in. Both of them sat on either side of the bed and held up a book. She pointed to the one in Gen's hands. She opened it and started reading. She dozed off to Olly adding a silly voice to the story.
