Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1: THE BEGINNING

In the mystical realm of ancient Egypt, where the sun dipped into the horizon and painted the sky with hues of crimson and gold, the Wysteria Academy stood tall. A prestigious institution where there are no titles and everyone is equal, shrouded in mystery, its walls whispered secrets to those who dared to listen.

Liana, a young woman with an enigmatic past, stepped onto the academy's grounds. Her dark hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall of night, and her eyes gleamed with a hint of magic. Liana's hands trembled as she clutched her wand, a delicate instrument adorned with intricate carvings that seemed to shimmer in the fading light.

As she navigated the winding corridors, liana's thoughts drifted to the tragic dreams that she'd been having for over a week now. The dream was about a family's brutal murder, a family that she didn't know. She hadn't been sleeping well as she wakes up every night feeling helpless and the crippling fear that has been haunting her. The academy's headmistress, an enigmatic Professor Julia, had promised to help liana master her magical abilities and uncover the truth about these dreams she was having.

Liana's first day at Wysteria was a whirlwind of emotions. She struggled to connect with her peers, who seemed to possess an air of confidence she could only dream of. That was until she met Charles, a bright-eyed young man with a warm smile and an aura of kindness. Charles's presence like a ray of sunshine, dispelling the shadows that shrouded liana's heart.

Flashback (how wysteria academy came to be)

Liana's pov:

Liana had never considered attending Wysteria Academy. The idea had never crossed her mind. But everything changed when her best friend, Wallace, devised a plan to take her on a secret trip to the city. Wallace had crafted an elaborate scheme to sneak them out of the castle undetected.

Their escape was complicated by Liana's status as the sole child of the king and queen. She was too precious to be allowed beyond the castle walls, and her parents' overprotectiveness had made her a virtual prisoner. Therefore, Wallace's plan had to be flawless.

"The first step is to reach the ballroom," Wallace explained, his eyes shining with excitement. "From there, we can make our way to the eastern wing and slip out through the hidden passage."

"But how will we get past the five guards outside my door?" Liana asked, her brow furrowed with concern. "They're not exactly the most oblivious people in the kingdom."

Wallace chuckled. "Leave that to me. I've been working on a little plan with Arthur, one of the guards. He's been feeling a bit stifled by the king's rules, and he's eager to help us out."

Liana's eyes widened. "Arthur? But he's one of the most loyal guards in the castle! What makes you think he'll help us?"

Wallace grinned mischievously. "Let's just say Arthur has a bit of a wild streak. He's been itching for adventure, and this is his chance to join the fun. Besides, he owes me a favor... or three."

Liana laughed. "You're impossible, Wallace. But I have to admit, I'm quite impressed with your plan. So how exactly is Arthur helping."

"He'll create a diversion." Wallace carefully opened the door and peeked outside. "I'll give him a slight nod, and he'll initiate the drill. We need to be quick, though – the guards won't stay distracted for long."

Liana took a deep breath, her heart racing with anticipation. "Let's do this."

Wallace nodded, and with a subtle nod, he signaled Arthur. The guard promptly initiated a fake drill, shouting that an intruder had been spotted near the king's chambers. The guards immediately rushed to investigate, only to find the head of security, Max showing the new guards their posts. By the time Liana's guards returned to their posts, Liana and Wallace had already made their way to the ballroom, successfully navigating their first hurdle.

The sun shone brightly on the castle walls as Liana and Wallace made their way through the corridors. The stables were just a short distance away, and with two more rooms to pass, they would be one step closer to sneaking into the city. As the princess, Liana's presence would help them get past the horse keepers without raising suspicion. They planned to act like they were on an official outing, and the horse keepers would likely let them through without a problem. Liana and Wallace hoped to slip out of the castle unnoticed by her parents, the king and queen and so they did.

Liana and Wallace were exploring the city after their escape from the castle. As they made their way through the bustling streets, they felt a rush of excitement and freedom. They're finally outside the castle walls, and the city is full of possibilities.

They strolled through markets, marveling at the sights and sounds. Liana couldn't believe she's finally experiencing life beyond the castle. Wallace grins, happy to see his friend so carefree.

As they explored, they noticed strange looks from the city's inhabitants. Some seem to recognize Liana, while others gaze at her with curiosity. Wallace whispers that they should be careful, as news of the princess's escape might spread quickly.

Suddenly, they hear a commotion behind them. Guards are shouting, and people are scattering. Liana's heart sinks – have they been found already?
