This 'section' of notifications ended there, but Mikael noticed another set waiting. He didn't delve into it yet—the section he'd just read had more than enough to digest for now.
At that moment, a confused, almost disbelieving "Okay. What the fuck!???" escaped him.
It was rewarded the next instant by atrocious pain in his lungs, which had him grimacing—only to be plunged deeper into agony, since grimacing required movement. Extremely minor movement, sure, but movement nonetheless, which in his current condition… was somewhat painful.
Gritting his teeth through the pain, he forced himself to remain completely still, knowing that even the slightest movement would be rewarded with excruciating agony.
Once 'safe' from further suffering, his attention returned to the numerous notifications that had flashed before his eyes.
'Okay so… Guidance, Seed List, Probationary Chosen One List, Administrator, and Unrestrained Mind. These are the five things that were named in those notifications—but the thing is, I have no idea what they are.'
Inwardly, he drew some conclusions. 'Still, it's not like I'm totally clueless. I can draw some inferences—like for Guidance, Unrestrained Mind, and Administrator, I think I can somewhat understand what they're about.'
'Guidance should be something about the Akashic Records helping me in my Partial Enlightenment, in a way that allowed me to get better results…'
Outwardly, he didn't move in the slightest, but inwardly, he was feeling… sour? He sighed internally. 'Honestly, I don't know what to think of this. It's "disappointing" in a way. I thought the Ferocity-based Cultivation Technique I created during the Partial Enlightenment was entirely my doing, but I was helped… so it takes some of the achievement away, in a way.'
'At the same time, it also means that without the Records' help, the end result wouldn't have been as good, which kind of makes sense, the technique I created is somewhat overpowered, so… I should be grateful, right?'
He hesitated, mulling over the contradiction. Logically, he knew he should feel grateful, and part of him did. But another part couldn't help feeling disappointed after learning the truth. The two emotions clashed, putting him in a weird, conflicted mood.
Forcing himself to ignore it, he focused on the rest. 'Unrestrained Mind should be the mindset I acquired when I 'broke the chains' But for it to be that strong… right now, it doesn't seem like much, but if it necessitated Rank 7 Military Rank Guidance and triggered my "promotion" to a Probationary Chosen One, it's probably far more powerful than it looks!'
At least that was his reasoning—a line of thought he felt nearly certain of. He continued his mumbling. 'Administrator… It's in the name. It should be an important person—thing—entity—whatever—that's either in charge of a part of the Akashic Records or has some authority over it.'
'As for the Seed List and the Probationary Chosen One List, I'm not 100% sure… but they should be some kind of future prospect lists?'
Mikael wasn't sure. Everything he'd thought up so far was just a preliminary set of conclusions. To get a clearer answer, he decided to ask the Records directly—but only for a summarized explanation.
[Guidance during Partial Enlightenment
Explanation: The Akashic Records Military Rank offers various visible and hidden benefits to individuals contributing to it. The Guidance during the Partial Enlightenment is one example among many of the benefits provided through contribution to the Akashic Records.]
[Unrestrained Mind
Type: Unique Talent
Definition: A mind that has broken through all preconceived notions, and limits, it is now unrestrained by anything—entirely free to make its own choices and create its own understanding.
Explanation: Such individuals are rarely swayed by social pressure, groupthink, or learned mental frameworks. Their thoughts are fully their own, allowing them to see and act beyond inherited patterns.
Inherent limits have been broken]
[Administrator
Explanation: Top-level members of the Akashic Order in charge of important matters linked to the Akashic Records.]
[Seed and Probationary Chosen One List
Explanation: The Seed List and the Probationary Chosen One List are two among several Classification Lists administered across all domains governed by the Akashic Records.
These lists do not assess current strength or contribution. Their sole criterion is latent potential. The greater the projected future value of an entity, the higher the classification it may receive.
Their purpose is to correct a structural limitation within the Military Rank system, which measures only present contributions to the Records. It does not account for the disparity between realized output and developmental ceiling.
For example, an entity in the Soul Phase that has reached its limit may currently contribute more than a being in the Foundational Phase. However, if the latter possesses far greater long-term potential, it is a higher-value investment. These lists identify such cases and allocate growth assistance accordingly.
Even the lowest classification—the Probationary Seed List—signifies a recognition of exceptional developmental promise. Inclusion indicates that the entity could eventually contribute far beyond its current level.
To maintain efficiency and avoid dependency, support provided through the Lists is subtle and non-intrusive—small adjustments to opportunity, fortune, or resistance. Excessive coddling has historically produced inferior outcomes. Therefore, while assistance is offered, the burden of advancement remains on the individual. Growth must be earned.
Existing Classifications (in ascending order of significance):
Probationary Seed, Seed, Promising Seed, Probationary Chosen One…
Access to further classifications is restricted. The user must attain the requisite clearance level or meet the necessary awakening threshold to proceed.]
"Fascinating…" he murmured to himself, ignoring the pain racking through his body from his decision to speak, his attention entirely focused on the information he had just learned.
A glint of interest passed in his eyes as he asked the Records to go more into the details of each category, to give him more information, but sadly—
[ERROR]
[Clearance level too low to learn anything further about any of the raised questions.]
[To know more, raise your military rank further or increase your list from Probationary Chosen One to (Classified).]
"Tsk… of course, the classic." He clicked his tongue in disappointment, but even though he was barred from learning more, he wasn't truly disappointed. With the information he had at his disposal, he was able to deduce a lot of things.
Like, for example, the next level of the List after Probationary Chosen One was probably Chosen One, then Promising Chosen One. It wasn't certain, but it was probable, same for a lot of the rest.
But beyond all that, the thing that truly caught his attention was his new Unique Talent, Unrestrained Mind. He could feel how he had changed—not in terms of thinking faster, or having stronger comprehension, or even mental strength.
No, it was something deeper than that. Something hard to describe. But the closest thing to it would be that… he felt free?
Yes, that was the most fitting description. Earlier, he had been unsure what Unrestrained Mind actually meant, but after reading the definition and explanation section, he understood.
'This means that having an Unrestrained Mind allows one to be mentally free. That's pretty vague… and with no listed concrete benefits, and me not feeling like my mind evolved beyond a vague sense of freedom, I'll need to run a few tests to see how I've changed now that I've supposedly broken free from inherent patterns, as the Records said.'
'It should be a shift in mindset—because that's essentially what Unrestrained Mind is: a mindset. But how it'll affect me in real life... that's still to be seen. Hopefully, it'll have a positive impact…'
BOOM
Mikael was instantly taken out of his thoughts. The moment he heard the loud explosion, he reacted instinctively—his body tensed, muscles tightened, and he entered a 'combat-ready' state, attention sharpened.
Of course, that wasn't painless. But Mikael was in his battle state, so he ignored the pain and extended his Divine Sense as far as he could while focusing on his hearing, trying to catch any other sound that might signify potential danger—which, in his current condition… would be bad, to say the least.
Crack Boom, Crack Boom.
For a moment, he didn't know what it was, but then he recognized it. 'Thunder sounds!?' He wasn't 100% sure, but he found flagrant similarities between the 'explosion sounds' he was currently hearing and what his ears had caught when the flying demonic tide was annihilated in an instant in a show of almost divine power.
Knowing the source of the noise, he instantly felt his tense body relax. The tension that had momentarily spiked quickly faded as he allowed himself a relieved sigh.
Still, while he thought he knew what this sound was, he didn't dare rely on assumptions—especially not in his currently extremely weakened state. If something, even weak, found him, it could have devastating consequences, so he needed to be more aware of his surroundings than ever before.
Because of that, he pushed through the fatigue weighing down on his body like a mountain, and with an inhuman effort, he forced open his eyelids that had previously closed when he fell to the ground.
What greeted his emerald eyes was a sky entirely covered with dark clouds, stretching as far as he could see from his current laying-on-his-back perspective. Not a single ray of sunlight pierced through the dark cover, and the air pulsed with electric tension in a truly worrisome display.
Mikael, seeing this display, wasn't worried. On the contrary, he was relieved. 'This "Storm," if it can even be called that—a devastating natural calamity is more fitting considering its power—but anyway. The important thing is that it's still here, so the sounds I heard should be coming from it.'
He loosened a breath he hadn't realized he was holding, relieved. Or at least, that was the case until a thought shifted his expression to a grim one.
'Fuck! Now that I think about it, from this storm's pattern I observed earlier, it only attacks living things flying above 50 meters, which means something flew at that height… which means there are living things near me—things that could potentially put me in danger!'
This realization made him painfully aware of his current, extremely weakened state. At this moment, he couldn't even move, so if something—whether demonic beasts or cultivators—approached, the situation could quickly take a turn for the worse.
Feeling a rising sense of urgency, Mikael focused his attention on speeding up his recovery to the maximum he could. Sadly…
His state was too awful. Even a Spiritual Foundation Realm's regeneration wasn't enough—, at least not in the short term. Helplessly, he could only lie on the ground and try to heal to the best of his ability.
Fortunately, not everything was bad. Using Partial Body Control, he was able to influence, at least partially, where his body's natural healing focused. With this control, he completely halted the healing on his torn-off left arm.
For now, it wasn't a priority, he could regenerate it later, regaining some measure of combat power was the goal, the arm could come afterward, when he could at least walk.
Under Mikael's frenzied healing, his condition slowly but surely began to improve. As minutes passed, he started regaining a small degree of movement, going from even opening his eyes being a monumental challenge to being able to move his fingers with difficulty…

In this chapter a lot happened.
Mikael learned about everything that was happening in the background during his Partial Enlightenment and there was a lot of thing that happened so the Records support him during the Enlightenment and this Unrestrained Mind I wonder what will it be? Should be important right?
At the same time Mikael continue to suffer, ahhh the pleasure of recovery from truly pushing your limit and living with the consequence that doesn't simply end with a time skip, Mikael is certainly feeling it and with potentially danger approaching…
Can he survives?(He's the protagonist so…the answer is easy)
