UltSans hesitated.
He was still staring at the cube, holding it loosely in his right hand. Its glow had long since shifted — no longer the soft blue it once emitted, but a deep, pulsing red that radiated with silent intent.
Something about it still intrigued him.
But then — it moved.
Without warning, the cube fired a sudden pulse — a crackling red bolt of energy shot forward like lightning, tearing into the ground ahead. In its wake, something began to form.
A portal.
But not like anything UltSans had seen before.
Strange blocks emerged from nowhere, snapping into place mid-air with loud, mechanical clicks. The material — the same as the obsidian he had shattered — smooth, jet-black stone laced with glowing red veins that pulsed in sync with the cube's light.
The structure was built in mere seconds.
And then, the cube in his hand fired again.
A second red bolt shot forward and struck the center of the frame.
The portal came to life.
With a deep, low roar, the gateway ignited. The sound vibrated through UltSans' bones — a strange, otherworldly frequency. Deep. Heavy.Something between a dragon's growl and the death-rattle of a realm breathing for the first time.
It howled.
Not with pain.
But with purpose.
The air around it twisted. The color was dark — purplish with flickers of crimson, swirling with unstable energy. Visually, it resembled a Nether portal… but the tone… the sound… the weight of its presence felt closer to something from the End.
UltSans stood still for a moment.
Surprised. Curious. Watching it carefully.
Then — without hesitation — he stepped forward.
The moment his body touched the surface of the portal, he was consumed by light.
A blinding flash.
And then…
Darkness.
His vision returned slowly, adjusting to the environment around him.The light faded.
UltSans took one step forward. Then another.
And stopped.
He looked around — and what he saw made him pause.
Everything was… wrong.
The ground. The sky. The trees. The very structure of the world.
Everything was made of cubes.
Grass. Leaves. Bark. The shape of the landscape. The clouds above. Even the distant sun hung in the sky as a flat square.
He was in a forest — but it didn't feel like a forest. The terrain was quiet, oddly simple, and eerily unnatural.
UltSans narrowed his eyes.
"What the hell is this place…?"
None of it made sense.
It wasn't real.
And yet… it was.
He crouched for a moment, brushing his hand across a tree trunk. It felt solid. Real. But still… wrong. Like a cheap simulation or a game built by an unstable god.
He took another step, scanning the treeline. His posture didn't relax. The orb, still glowing in his hand, had calmed — but not fully. Its red hue flickered occasionally, like it was waiting for something.
Far away — beyond the forest, beyond the mountains, and beyond the dimensions themselves — something felt the portal open.
A signal had been sent.
The birth of an anomaly.
Entities — some ancient, some buried, others wandering the void — had felt the shift. Some stirred from slumber. Others turned to look. The presence of the orb… and the one now holding it… changed the balance of the world.
They didn't know his name.
Not yet.
But they felt him.
And soon…They would start moving.
