"What is this?" Johnnie asked the wicked ghost village chief.
The village chief looked scared. He swallowed hard, looked around for a moment, then said:
"This is a gift from the Red-Haired Ghost King's messenger. Every ghost in the village has one."
"After we eat, we all have to go to this statue and stare at it."
"And the Red-Haired Ghost King sends people to replace these statues from time to time. If I calculate the time correctly, the messengers should be here tonight."
After hearing the village chief's words, Johnnie fell into deep thought.
The "eating" the village chief mentioned was actually eating ordinary ghosts. That meant this statue was keeping them from being affected by negative emotions.
But what was this strange, creepy statue, exactly?
Johnnie couldn't figure it out.
