"Before we start, I'm sure you've heard what your two opponents had to say, right?" the MC asked Alex.
"I did." Alex nodded.
"Then, do you have something you'd like to tell them?" The MC truly wanted to hype this battle up, so he deliberately created tension from the very beginning.
Alex hesitated but still accepted the microphone handed to him.
"First, allow me to apologize and thank the two of you for agreeing to my selfish request," Alex said, giving his opponents a respectful bow. "However, I sincerely believe that unless the two of you work together, you won't stand a chance of winning against me."
