Chuck groggily opened his eyes, only to find Mary's beautiful sleeping face right next to him.
He suddenly remembered what had happened the night before.
Back in the clubroom, Alex had told him that he would stay in the clock tower for a sleepover with Latifa.
Princes Xenia and Mary were there when he said it. And for some reason, the two exchanged a glance with each other.
That night, the two invited Chuck to have dinner together with them.
Thinking he had no reason to refuse, Chuck accepted their offer.
And that was when he drank wine for the first time in his life. When they left the restaurant, his face was flushed, but he was still sober.
But Mary and Princess Xenia didn't want to take chances, so they helped him return to his room safely.
They helped Chuck take off his clothes and shoes to make him feel comfortable. If the citizens were to see their princess taking off a man's shoes and socks on her own volition, they might spit on that man's face.
