When Alex returned to the clock tower, he was welcomed by Latifa and Lala.
The two had watched the battle through Lumi, Lotte, and Lulu's eyes, so they knew Alex had won the duel against the Crown Prince of the Aetherion Empire.
But despite his win, Alex didn't look happy.
After cuddling with Latifa and Lala, the young man finally opened up and shared why he didn't find joy in beating the Prince in battle.
"It felt like I was bullying the weak."
Latifa hadn't expected to hear such a statement from Alex.
Then, she came to a realization.
Most of Alex's battle experience came from fighting those who were as strong as him and stronger than him.
He didn't have much experience fighting against people significantly weaker than him. And even if he did, he didn't go all out to beat them up as he had done to Prince Asta.
Alex also admitted that he vented his frustration on the Prince and beat him up so badly because he found him quite annoying.
