Putting jokes aside, Cain was now on high alert, his mind racing. He needed to find a way to incapacitate or eliminate his brothers quickly, but that was easier said than done.
"Are you good?" Fenrir asked Jormungander.
"Yeah... I'm good. Now let's get back to kicking his ass."
Fenrir nodded, and the two were about to continue their assault. However, they halted abruptly when over a dozen individuals teleported in behind Cain. Recognizing them, Cain smirked and turned to face the group, which included most of the 7th, 6th, and 5th Units, along with Uta and Lanius.
Everyone from the 7th unit was decked out in uniforms that Cain had designed himself. They resembled their old outfits but featured ultra-thin demonic steel plating for added protection.
The non-armored sections were crafted from a tri-weave fabric, enhancing durability, flexibility, and comfort. They also wore helmets and had various seals on their uniforms that increased their physical capabilities and allowed them to store items.
Upon seeing Cain, Fenrir, and Jormungandr, the group rushed to Cain's side, adopting combative stances and eyeing his older brothers with hostility.
"You guys finally showed up, and here I was thinking I'd have all the fun," Cain said jokingly, drawing a few chuckles, eye rolls, and some not-so-child-friendly comments.
"So these two are my uncles, huh?" Lanius asked loudly, leaving Wolf, Serpent, and several ADC members thoroughly confused.
"What the fuck are you talking about, kid—" Jormungandr began, but he stopped mid-sentence when he got a better look at Lanius and realized he looked like a carbon copy of Cain.
"Holy shit..." Fenrir cursed, coming to the same startling realization as Jormungandr. "When the fuck did you have time to make a kid?" He looked at Cain, disbelief etched across his face.
Everyone, unaware that Cain had a son, stared at him in shock.
"Wait, he's your kid?!" Yachiho exclaimed, her voice filled with surprise. "How?!"
"Because, just like your mom, I'm way older than I look," Cain replied, smirking at the older Azuma. "But that's not relevant right now." He turned to his brothers. "Last chance. Back off."
Fenrir scoffed. "We both know we can't do that."
Cain sighed. "So be it."
In the blink of an eye, Cain appeared in front of them, catching them off guard. He kicked Fenrir in the face, sending him flying a hundred meters away.
As for Jormungandr, Cain grabbed him by the throat, spun around several times, and hurled him hundreds of meters away. Without wasting any time, Cain sprinted toward where Jormungandr landed to continue his assault.
While he fought his older brother, Cain telepathically communicated with the others, catching everyone but Uta and Lanius completely by surprise. 'Zero, Lanius, and Uta are with me. Everyone else will handle Fenrir.'
'Oh, you can communicate telepathically?' Zero asked, intrigue evident in her tone.
'Since when the fuck could you do that?!' Kyoka exclaimed, a mix of surprise and annoyance in her voice.
'Since always,' he revealed, causing everyone but Uta's and Lanius' eyebrows to twitch. 'I just rarely use it because it gives me a massive headache afterward—still have no clue why, though.'
Cain was willing to endure the headache to ensure the safety of his women and the others. He also intended to create a mind link so that, in case something happened to him, the girls could still communicate.
'Anything else you forgot to mention?' Himari asked, sounding annoyed.
'Probably. Any questions you have, I may or may not answer later,' Cain replied, prompting most of the women to grumble in frustration.
With that, everyone split into two groups. Units five, six, and seven, along with their chiefs, moved to confront Fenrir, while the strongest members among them advanced to deal with Jormungandr. Within seconds, Lanius, Uta, and Zero reached Cain and Jormungandr, and Tenka teleported everyone to where Fenrir was.
(With Kyoka & everyone else)
As soon as Tenka teleported everyone to Fenrir's location, their eyes widened in shock and dread—everyone except Saeko, who gazed at the scene before her with a crazed, bloodthirsty gleam in her purple eyes.
Before them loomed Fenrir, transformed from a towering twenty-five-meter-tall werewolf into an even more imposing forty-meter wolf. His fur was thick and dark enough that he would be completely invisible at midnight, and he appeared far more feral than before. His eyes, no longer the familiar golden, now glowed an ominous red.
"Holy shit..." Shushu whispered in fear, while Himari, who was standing nearby, gulped audibly in agreement.
"Holy shit, indeed..."
Fenrir turned his piercing gaze toward them, his eyes glowing brightly. He growled loudly, prompting everyone to assume combative stances, with Shushu growing to match his height. Sensing the fear radiating from all but one of them, Fenrir took a deep breath and looked at the group with an expression that seemed almost pitying.
"Look, this isn't your fight," he said softly. "It's between Cain and us. Move aside, and I promise no harm will come to any of you." There was no deception in his tone or body language; only truth.
Fenrir took no pleasure in killing or fighting, especially against those merely doing their jobs or caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. He always tried to reduce civilian, law enforcement, and military casualties—but that wasn't always possible.
Kyoka stepped forward and glared at him. "That's where you're wrong. It is our fight. Cain is part of the ADC, and when you mess with one of our own, you mess with all of us."
Fenrir regarded her in silence for several moments, the tension growing thicker, causing everyone but a few to shift anxiously. His gaze moved from Tenka to Himari, Shushu, Honami, and Yakumo before returning to Kyoka.
"You six are fucking Cain, aren't you?" Fenrir asked, freezing the six women and widening everyone's eyes in surprise. Seeing their reaction, Fenrir couldn't help but chuckle, having received all the confirmation he needed. "Why am I not surprised? Cain never could keep it in his pants." He shook his head in exasperation.
Fenrir knew all too well the effects of love. It makes people idiotic, irrational, uncompromising, recklessly brave, and, worst of all, absolutely loyal.
These six women were head over heels for his younger brother. Nothing he said would dissuade them from what he considered unnecessary conflict.
'Oh well. At least I can say I tried. I'll try not to fuck the bitches up too much. I'd rather not be any higher on Cain's shit list than I already am,' Fenrir thought, grimacing.
While it may not seem like it, nor would he ever admit it, Fenrir was terrified of Cain, and the last thing he wanted to do was piss off his younger brother any more than he already had.
Fenrir still felt phantom pains from the last time he got on Cain's nerves and would much rather avoid experiencing that rage again.
So, unfortunately for him and fortunately for the women, he would have to hold back.
"Hold the fuck up! You've been sleeping with Cain?!" Yachiho exclaimed, her voice rising with a mix of rage and disbelief as she shot a furious look at Himari. "Is that why you wanted to stay at the dorms?! So you can fuck Cain?!"
To say Yachiho was pissed off would be the understatement of the century. She couldn't believe her precious baby sister had been fucking Cain. If that wasn't horrible enough, it turned out Cain had also been fucking Tenka, Kyoka, Yakumo, and Shushu!
'That absolute fucking manwhore!!' Yachiho thought, seething with rage and hatred.
She was going to kill Cain after they dealt with these assholes, consequences be damned.
"Yachiho—" Himari tried to calm her sister down, but Yachiho wasn't having any of it.
"And you!" Yachiho pointed her finger at Kyoka and Honami. "I expected this kind of behavior from Tenka and Yakumo, but I expected better from you two!"
"Can we not have this conversation right now?!" Yakumo exclaimed, ironically taking on the role of the voice of reason, and pointed at Fenrir, who looked at them with amusement. "We have a giant doggo to deal with!"
"No. Please, take your time. I'm enjoying the show," Fenrir commented wryly, ignoring Yakumo's last remark.
Everyone glared at him.
Yachiho groaned. "Ugh, fine—" She shot a fierce glare at Himari. "—but this conversation isn't over!"
With that settled, the women turned their full attention to Fenrir. He sighed before narrowing his eyes at them.
"Remember, you asked for this fight..." His voice was filled with melancholy and regret.
Fenrir cocked his head back, inhaled deeply, and exhaled with a monstrous blast of pressurized air that struck with the force of a Category Five hurricane, breaking the sound barrier.
Seeing the blast coming toward them, everyone quickly moved out of the way, splitting into three groups. The main group consisted of Shushu, Saeko, Kyoka, Yakumo, Tenka, and Sahara, who would confront Fenrir head-on. The other two groups were tasked with attacking Fenrir and supporting the main group from a safe distance.
Shushu was the first to charge at Fenrir, a two-handed, double-faced warhammer suddenly appearing in her hands—a gift from Cain just a week prior.
It wasn't just any ordinary warhammer; it had been expertly forged from demonic steel, making it exceptionally heavy and a perfect counter against heavily armored foes. Additionally, two devastating amplification seals had been inscribed on it, enhancing its already lethal capabilities.
For the first seal, each successful hit doubled its attack power, amplifying until the user stopped fighting or released the weapon. The second seal absorbed the target's stamina with every hit, reducing their movement speed by one percent for thirty seconds.
Leaping toward Fenrir with her warhammer raised high above her head, Shushu brought it crashing down toward his massive skull. Sensing the impending danger, Fenrir instinctively jumped back and unleashed a colossal wave of ice in her direction.
Shushu swung her warhammer down with all her might, splitting the ground twenty meters ahead and shattering the wave of ice into countless shards.
As Fenrir landed, Tenka appeared directly in front of him, delivering a powerful kick to his jaw before teleporting away in an instant. The force of her kick made him grunt and stumble back, disoriented. Before he could fully recover, Tenka reappeared on his back, and in a blink, they were two hundred meters in the air.
Fenrir growled to himself, 'She's the first one I'm taking out.'
Instantly teleporting opponents were always the most infuriating to face, especially for him, as he couldn't fly or counter them with traditional methods. His best strategy was to absorb the hits and wait for an opening.
As he fell, Tenka smirked at him before teleporting away again. In less than a second, she reappeared, standing on Shushu's head, who was preparing to bring her warhammer down on Fenrir.
'Ah, fuck...'
When Shushu's warhammer connected with Fenrir's chest, his torso shattered, piercing several organs with broken bones, and sent him crashing to the ground. The impact shattered the earth, filling the air with dust.
By the time Fenrir hit the ground, his injuries had vanished, and he quickly evaded another strike from Shushu. As soon as his feet touched the ground, he lunged at her. Barely able to react, Shushu raised the handle of her weapon just in time to block Fenrir's teeth from sinking into her flesh, causing him to smirk.
Seizing the handle, Fenrir spun around, lifting Shushu off her feet and tossing her into the air. He then summoned dozens of ice pillars with sharp tips and directed them at her.
Three pillars raced toward Shushu, while six more approached from either side, curving toward her as they closed in. Just as they were about to pierce her, Tenka appeared beside her and teleported her away to safety.
Back with Fenrir, he was now engaged in fierce battle with Kyoka, Saeko, and Sahara, with the purple-haired woman slashing and stabbing hundreds of times in a matter of seconds.
The other two took turns striking at his face, while Kyoka carved deep gashes into his flesh. Together, they unleashed a relentless barrage of bullets and energy blasts aimed at him.
Annoyed, Fenrir summoned an omnidirectional wave of ice. Kyoka and Sahara easily shattered it, but their eyes widened in shock as they felt the air leave their lungs when struck by a sudden blast of pressurized air. They were sent flying back, but before they could travel too far, Tenka teleported behind them and caught them mid-air.
"Thanks..." Kyoka gasped.
"Are you two alright?" Tenka asked, concern etched on her face.
They nodded.
"Yeah... I just need to catch my breath," Sahara replied, her voice a bit shaky. "God, I'm exhausted. When we get back, I'm sleeping in for the next couple of days."
Tenka chuckled, shaking her head in amusement.
After a few seconds, they managed to catch their breath and were teleported back to the battlefield. Upon their return, they were greeted by several miniature tornadoes moving rapidly, the area around them covered in a thick layer of ice and snow.
Groups one and two were scattered, some fleeing from the tornadoes while others were encased in ice, struggling to break free.
They turned their heads to the right just in time to see Fenrir smack Shushu's warhammer from her hand before lunging and sinking his teeth into the unprotected part of her arm.
Shushu cried out in pain as Fenrir's teeth pierced her flesh. She glared at the monstrous wolf with unadulterated rage and determination burning in her eyes. Cocking her arm back, she began to punch him repeatedly in the nose.
Each strike made him wince in pain, eliciting involuntary yelps that only fueled his fury. The harder Shushu struck, the deeper his teeth sank into her flesh.
Panic set in as she felt his teeth go deeper into her flesh. If Fenrir's teeth sank any deeper, her arm could break. Desperate to avoid injury, she intensified her attacks.
Shushu kicked him in the ribs, punched him in the throat, gouged at his eyes, ripped off his ears, and even body-slammed him.
Yakumo, Saeko, and the others not encased in ice did their best to assist her, but Fenrir was solely focused on Shushu, ignoring them completely.
Eventually, his grip on her arm weakened when she landed a particularly powerful strike to his groin, allowing her to free herself with a powerful haymaker to his snout that sent him stumbling backward.
Once free, Shushu quickly rushed to recover her warhammer, eyes locked on her weapon.
Fenrir, regaining his footing, charged at her as she reached for her weapon.
Before he could close the distance, Yakumo blasted him with a powerful gust of wind, sending him crashing back to the ground.
Quickly getting back on his feet, Fenrir growled, his body unconsciously beginning to grow larger and bulkier. He now stood fifty meters tall and twice as wide. Despite his immense size, he moved with a speed that nothing of his size should move at.
As he ran, the ground beneath him cracked, the sound barrier shattered, and everything within a few meters ignited or turned to ash.
Fenrir suddenly appeared before everyone, causing their eyes to widen in surprise. They quickly recovered and went on the offensive.
Shushu charged at him, swinging her warhammer toward his face with all her might. Fenrir unleashed an air blast at the last moment, leaving her unable to react in time; she was sent flying back and crashed into the ground.
Sahara descended from above, ready to deliver a devastating drop-kick to his spine. Unfortunately for her, Fenrir spun around and struck her with his massive tail, sending the orange-haired woman crashing several feet away.
He then enveloped himself in a dome of swirling air as Kyoka, Tenka, Saeko, and Yakumo attempted to attack simultaneously. They were all thrown back violently, but before they could crash-land, Tenka teleported each of them safely to the ground.
The women jumped back as hundreds of ice shards erupted beneath them, one shard piercing Saeko's arm and prompting a slight grunt of pain.
Pushing through the pain, she cut the shard in half and freed herself. Saeko quickly pulled out the ice from her arm, and the wound vanished within seconds, replaced by new flesh. She looked at the gigantic wolf, her lips forming into a battle-crazed grin.
It had been far too long since she had this much fun fighting, and she wished it could last longer. However, she knew that would be selfish, as not everyone shared her insatiable hunger for battle. Reluctantly, she decided it was time to stop holding back.
"Everyone move back!" Saeko said telepathically. "I'm going to use my ability!"
Following her command, everyone quickly distanced themselves from both Fenrir and Saeko, creating space for her to unleash her full power.
(With Tenka & Sahara)
"You really think it's a good idea to let her use her ability with so many people around?" Sahara asked Tenka, her voice laced with concern.
Saeko's Peach Blessing Bloodlust was a transformation-type power that significantly amplified her physical capabilities, attack power, and the ability to manipulate blood and to weaken the regeneration and strength of others.
However, this power came with a serious drawback: it made Saeko hyper-aggressive and bloodthirsty. The longer she tapped into Bloodlust, the more pronounced these traits became. For this reason, Saeko was only allowed to use her ability in the most dire situations.
"It's not like we have any other choice," Tenka replied with a sigh, running a hand through her hair in frustration. "She's the only one who has a direct counter to his healing factor."
That wasn't entirely accurate, though. Cain had mentioned that his and his siblings' healing factors were directly tied to their physical and anti-demonic energy. While they had the means to drain both energy sources, their methods proved ineffective for achieving lasting results.
Sahara grimaced but nodded. "Let's just hope she can end this quickly, then."
End.
