"It's through," came Talia's voice on the other end. She sounded drained, but firm in her resolve.
"They folded. All of them. We'll have the lawyers prep the contracts for signing tomorrow morning. Though I ask that you come in gear, and so do the ladies as well. You'll be jumping into the dungeon right after we put ink to the paper."
Kaiden let a giant victorious smile creep onto his face. He had to do his best to remain neutral-sounding. "Understood. We'll be there."
The call cut out.
A second later, crystal glasses clinked together.
"Cheers!"
The taste of rich champagne trickled down all five of their throats. They were all dressed in comfortable night robes.
They'd done it. The deal was real.
They were going to become official guild owners without having to deal with all the hassle that usually came with it.
Aria stared at her glass.
"Now all we have to do is slay a few vampires and other nasties…" she muttered, though a great deal of worry crept into her voice.
