By the time Kaiden returned to the Abyssal Palace after settling the new arrivals, Japan had found another reason to invite him over.
"An official presentation?"
Yunohana passed him the invitation over dinner, looking rather pleased with herself.
"Tomorrow, if you would be willing. The government would like to thank you properly for what you have done for our country. Your family and representatives of Eclipse are invited as well."
"You've been feeding us properly for quite a while," Kaiden shook his head, smiling.
"We shall endeavor to continue."
"Then I accept."
Luna looked up from her plate.
"You're so easy it's crazy, dude."
"It's called being gentlemanly, gal," Kaiden grinned at his gremlin, earning a giggle from Yunohana as he returned the invitation.
...
The following day, Kaiden and his family emerged through the Japanese entrance, crossed from the island by boat, and continued to Tokyo in the cars waiting for them at the harbor.
