Chapter 132 - Tempest Rein

The host, Toto, stood at the center, his voice a thunderous herald cutting through the silence. "Alright, ladies and gentlemen, that first match was a wild one! Now, let's ignite the night with our second bout—two legendary fighters ready to clash! To our right, a human who has mastered the arts of wind and lightning, give it up for… RAIJIN!!"

The crowd erupted as Raijin sauntered onto the stage, hands casually tucked in his pockets, his presence a storm waiting to break. With a flourish, he raised one hand, and the chants of "Raijin! Raijin!" swelled like a tidal wave. A bolt of green lightning arced from his fingertips, striking the sky with a dazzling flash, illuminating his sharp features. "Ah, right now, the most fired up person in the world… IS MEE!!" he bellowed, his voice resonating with unbridled energy. The audience gasped, awestruck, as Toto hyped the moment. "WOAHH! Look at that—Raijin is fired up, ready to fight!"

Lihanna, perched in the stands, leaned back with a knowing smirk. "Well, this is an easy win for him. Wonder why he's even bothering."

Felicia, beside her, shrugged with a grin. "I have no idea, but it's Raijin—what can we say?"

Toto's voice boomed again, shifting the focus. "And now, to our left—wild, reckless, and dangerous, a warrior who treads a path of fire—give it up for KAMAKI!!" Lihanna and Felicia froze, eyes widening in unison. "Yeah, I figured those two would just have to jump in, even though this doesn't benefit them," Lihanna muttered, shaking her head.

Kamaki strode onto the arena, his entrance a blaze of charisma. He hopped in place, warming up, then launched into a series of fluid martial arts moves, flames erupting from his fists in a mesmerizing dance. The crowd leaped to their feet, their cheers growing louder as he spread his arms wide, gazing toward the stands with a cocky grin. Felicia's expression flattened. "Now they're trying to aura farm."

Lihanna chuckled dryly. "Yep, that's them alright."

Raijin's green eyes locked onto Kamaki, a flicker of surprise crossing his face. "I didn't know you were taking part in this. This'll be our first time ever going against each other." He drew his twin daggers, their blades glinting ominously.

Kamaki laughed, clenching his gauntlets as blue flames roared to life around them. "Yeah, now let's dance!" They positioned themselves at opposite ends of the arena, the tension palpable.

Toto thrust the microphone skyward. "GO!"

"BURNN!" Kamaki roared, unleashing a towering wave of fire that surged toward Raijin. The air shimmered with heat as Raijin dodged with preternatural agility, darting sideways in a blur of motion. Kamaki's grin widened, and he charged head-on, meeting Raijin's advance. Their clash was a symphony of steel and flame—Raijin's daggers slashed in rapid succession, each strike parried by Kamaki's fiery gauntlets. They shifted positions with every blow, a whirlwind of combat, until Kamaki landed a punishing punch to Raijin's stomach, blasting him with a plume of flames. Raijin rolled across the mat, the crowd gasping as he skidded to a halt.

Felicia's eyes widened. "Oh wow, Kamaki just landed a diabolical hit on Raijin!"

Raijin sprang to his feet, his daggers now crackling with green lightning. He charged at lightning speed, a streak of emerald fury, and Kamaki met him head-on. The arena became a canvas of blue and green streaks, their powers clashing in a dazzling display. They reappeared, locked in a furious exchange of blows, until Raijin leaped onto Kamaki's back, thrusting a dagger toward his shoulder. "Ahh, so that's your trick!" Kamaki grunted, seizing Raijin's arm and slamming him into the ground with a thunderous crash. "Now you're done!" He reared back, his fist igniting with fire, and punched the mat, leaving a smoldering crater as Raijin back-sprung out of range, the crowd roaring in approval.

Before Raijin could recover, Kamaki adapted, closing the distance in a heartbeat. Raijin's eyes widened. "So fast—what the heck?" He invoked Aero Displacement, swapping their positions in a gust of wind, leaving Kamaki chuckling. "Smart move."

Toto's voice surged with excitement. "WOAHH! That was one hell of a brawl by our two fighters! Now it's a standstill—what will happen next?!"

Kamaki panted, his voice steady. "Honestly, Raijin, I know you're fast, but experiencing it is scary. One slip-up could be a disaster if I'm not careful."

Raijin i laughed, wiping sweat from his brow. "Haha, yeah, and same for you—adapting to my movements that quickly is terrifying. Aha, well, let's continue—this battle's stakes are high. Let's turn it up a notch!"

Kamaki sprinted forward, launching a fiery punch at Raijin's face. Raijin ducked, targeting Kamaki's ribs with a precise strike, but Kamaki flipped over him, delivering a spinning kick that Raijin narrowly dodged. "ARGHHHH!" Kamaki roared, unleashing a barrage of rapid punches. Raijin countered with slashing daggers, sparks of flame and lightning illuminating the battlefield in a chaotic ballet.

Lihanna watched, her voice tinged with awe. "They're getting serious now—both evenly matched. I didn't think they were on the same level. This is an incredible performance. I can't tell who'll win—Kamaki's got strength and durability, but Raijin's speed and agility are unmatched."

Felicia nodded. "Well, I believe Kamaki's going to win this."

The tide turned as Kamaki's flaming fist connected with Raijin's forehead, blood splattering across his face, while Raijin's dagger carved a deep gash into Kamaki's cheek. "THEY BOTH HIT EACH OTHER!" Toto shouted, the crowd gasping. Both fighters breathed heavily, their auras flaring.

"BRING IT ON!" Raijin bellowed.

"Tss, that's it—LET'S PUT AN END TO THIS!!" Kamaki's eyes erupted in flames, the arena encircling with a ring of fire. Raijin's confusion was short-lived as a wave of fire exploded, launching him skyward. Kamaki leaped after him, roaring, "Nuh uh, NOT THIS TIME!" He spun mid-air, delivering a devastating kick to Raijin's head, sending him crashing back to the mat.

"Now witness my technique—I call this one Hell's Bane!" Kamaki rotated his finger in a circular motion, then thrust his hand forward, unleashing a destructive blast that tore into the arena grounds. A shockwave rippled outward, forcing spectators to shield their eyes. Tyrone, watching from a tunnel, muttered, "Are those two trying to destroy the place?!"

Lihanna and Felicia exchanged glances in the stands. "This is getting out of hand—how is all this legal?" Lihanna questioned.

Felicia shrugged. "It doesn't seem dangerous—the spectators are loving it, roaring right now. But look—Raijin's standing after taking that!"

Raijin rose, blood-streaked and clothes torn, his chest heaving. Kamaki descended, smirking. "Yeah, bro, you're cooked. I win—time to end this fight. It was a good one." He advanced to knock Raijin out, but Raijin moved with blinding speed, shouldering Kamaki back before he could react.

Toto stammered, "Uhh, what just happened?"

Lihanna grinned at Felicia. "You see it? Raijin just shouldered Kamaki."

Felicia nodded, barely catching the blur. "I got a glimpse, but you saw it completely. Yeah, I think Raijin's pulling his ace against Kamaki. If he does what I'm thinking, this battle's about to end before Kamaki adapts."

"Damnn, homie, I didn't know you moved like that—shit, lemme lock in real quick!" Kamaki exclaimed, his bravado faltering. "Shit just got real—bro's acting different, but he doesn't have that dawg in him 'cause that dawg is me!"

Raijin appeared before him, daggers raised. "HOLY SHIT, I WAS WRONG—HE DOES HAVE THAT DAWG IN HIM! I'M COOKED!!!" Kamaki shouted, panic flashing in his eyes.

Raijin's eyes ignited with lightning, a surge of wind and electricity enveloping him. "Storm Piercer!" he roared, thrusting his daggers with blinding speed. Sparks of lightning erupted, a mini hurricane tunnel forming as the attack struck Kamaki, sending him flying with a guttural "ARgghh!" Raijin dashed behind him, muttering, "Tempest Fury," and unleashed a flurry of wind-carried slashes, cutting from multiple angles. He slid to a halt, charging his power. "Now, my last move—Thunder Cataclysm!" He raced in circles, creating a hurricane-eye vortex charged with lightning. The vortex collapsed, and Raijin, out of breath, stepped on the arena's edge.

Panting, Raijin stood as Toto seized his hand. "AND OUR WINNER IS RAIJIN!!!" The crowd erupted, a deafening ovation shaking the stands. Raijin raised his hand, a weary smile breaking through, then turned to help Kamaki up, draping his arm over his shoulder. "Shit, good match, gang—you made me lock the fuck in right there."

Kamaki, groaning but grinning, leaned on him. "Shhh, I had to lock in too, but you outplayed me, ahaha."

The arena buzzed with the aftermath, the eternal night witnessing a battle for the ages.
