Chapter 108 - A Promise Under the White Cataclysm

A year had passed on Earth, and Capriha had risen from its ashes like a phoenix reborn. The once-ruined city now gleamed with towering spires that pierced the night sky, their lights shimmering like a constellation brought to earth. Eighty percent of the world had been rebuilt, its scars fading under the tireless efforts of humanity and the Vandors, led by their radiant hero, Sando. His Solaris-blessed power had turned the tide against the parasitic Dynasties, purging their corruption and restoring hope to a battered world. Now, as the city pulsed with life, Sando stood on the balcony of his new home, his golden eyes reflecting the glow of Capriha's rebirth. Beside him stood Gendai, her green hair catching the moonlight, their bond forged in battle and blossoming into love.

Gendai wrapped her arms around him, her warmth a quiet anchor against the cool night air. "It feels so great to see the world back on its feet," she said, her voice soft but filled with awe. "This place was nothing but ruins a year ago, but now… look at those glowing towers, those beautiful lights. I prayed for times like these, Sando. No sightings of parasites, no Dynasties—just peace. And it's all because of you."

Sando's lips curved into a gentle smile, his blonde hair stirring in the breeze. "I do what I must," he said, his voice steady but warm. "If it means parents and children can live happily—and you, especially—then it's worth every fight."

Gendai rose onto her toes, her lips meeting his in a tender kiss. "Sando, I love you," she whispered, her green eyes shimmering with emotion. "You've grown so much stronger. You've mastered Solaris's power."

He gazed into her eyes, his golden irises glowing with quiet intensity. "I have, but I've got room to grow still. With you by my side, Gendai, I have no limits. I'll break any barrier to protect that smile of yours."

Her cheeks flushed, a soft laugh escaping her. "Aww, I really mean that much to you?"

"You mean the world to me," Sando said, his voice unwavering. "I love you like there's no tomorrow."

The full moon hung above, its silver light bathing Capriha in a dreamlike glow, the stars twinkling like a promise of eternity. Gendai's eyes glistened with happy tears as she pressed herself closer, her head resting against his chest. Sando's arms enveloped her, his warmth a shield against the uncertainties of the universe. "I want this to last forever," she murmured, her voice barely above a whisper. "I wish for nothing more."

"I do too," Sando replied, his tone soft but resolute. "Hey, I want to tell you something."

Gendai tilted her head, her eyes meeting his. "Yes, honey? I'm listening."

He took a slow, deliberate breath, his gaze steady. "When this is all over—when the battles are done—let's get married. Let's build a peaceful life together, with kids, with laughter. A life where we don't have to fight anymore."

Her eyes widened, tears spilling over as her heart raced. "Yes… yes," she whispered, her voice trembling with joy. "Is that a promise? That we'll win?"

Sando's smile was radiant, his voice filled with unshakable resolve. "Yes. We will win. I'll lead Earth to victory. Abiba, the Disciple of Nebula, and the others—they'll no longer threaten us. I swear it."

Their moment of bliss was shattered by a blinding white light that swallowed the sky. The city below erupted into chaos, gasps and screams rising as people shielded their eyes. "Look at the sky! What is that?" they cried, phones raised to capture the unearthly spectacle. Sando instinctively stepped in front of Gendai, his arms shielding her as the light pulsed with an otherworldly intensity. When the glare faded, the city was in an uproar, voices echoing through the streets as citizens pointed skyward, their phones recording the impossible sight.

Sando and Gendai turned their gaze upward, their breaths catching in their throats. A massive white hole loomed in the heavens, its edges crackling with a corrupted radiance, a cosmic wound that seemed to devour the stars themselves. "What the hell is that?" Gendai whispered, her voice trembling as she clung to Sando. "A black hole… but white?"

Sando's golden eyes narrowed, his holy vision piercing the cosmos to trace the anomaly's origin. "It's not in this galaxy," he said, his voice steady but laced with unease. "Another galaxy has been destroyed. Whatever this is, it's a powerful foe."

Gendai's hands tightened around his arm, her green eyes wide with fear. "It's not Kazimir. His power is black, dark indigo. This… this is black and white."

Sando nodded, his jaw tightening as he stared into the corrupted light. "It's light, but something's off—twisted, corrupted. It could be a Disciple of Nullity."

Gendai froze, her mind racing. "So there are four Disciples now? Abiba, Kazimir, Vanessa, and… whoever this is?"

"Yes," Sando said, his voice grim. "The Disciples of Nullity wield power on a universal scale. Whatever Kazimir's plotting, this confirms they're capable of destruction beyond comprehension."

Gendai shook her head, her voice steadying as she pieced it together. "I don't think it's Kazimir. He's always been against the Nullity—it's his mission to stop them."

Sando's gaze flicked to her, then back to the sky. "Maybe, but he's no longer on Earth's side. He destroyed this world once, Gendai. He's not our ally—he's an enemy. And this…" He gestured to the white hole, its immensity dwarfing the stars. "This could determine the fate of every world."

They stood together on the balcony, the glowing towers of Capriha dimmed by the white hole's ominous light. It loomed impossibly vast, a cosmic predator in a distant galaxy, yet its presence felt suffocatingly close. The promise of their future—a peaceful life, a family—hung in the balance, as the shadow of the Inverted Star cast its corrupted glow over their world.
