Chapter 34 - Chapter 25

Soleil POV

New York – Invasion

A few hours before the Battle of New York

Arriving in New York took some time. Vasco Strada, I, and the first ten thousand immigrants landed on Krakoa and immediately negotiated with the sentient island. After promising it could siphon small amounts of energy from each of us daily, it agreed to let us build and live on its surface.

While negotiations were underway, I gathered a small team to follow me and assist the locals in this universe.

Yahweh sent angels as a sign of solidarity—including Gabriel and Metatron, both Seraph-class, or Super Class, beings. Gabriel might seem naive or ditzy at times, but people forget she once killed two Satans and chased Lucifer to the ends of the Earth. Metatron, a reincarnated human turned angel, retained the divine gift embedded in all humans from our universe: Progress and Free Will. He began as a low-class angel but grew over centuries into a Super Class with future sight and the third-greatest mastery of fire magic in Heaven, after Yahweh and Michael.

I also recruited Purity, Aoi Todo, and Yuji Itadori. The rest would stay behind to obscure the portal and fortify the island—both physically and mystically. Vasco had already begun sanctifying the land to purge dark influences and bar demonic entry.

I approached Cardinal Strada with my plan to aid in the invasion, hoping it would give us leverage in future negotiations with this world's humans. He mulled it over before agreeing, urging me to be careful and protect the team. He didn't want a single loss in this foreign universe. I promised to protect them with my life, then teleported to where they were gathered.

"Damn, we should put a bell on you, Sol," Yuji said, jumping into Todo's arms in fright. Gabriel and Purity burst out laughing.

Once things calmed down, I got to the point.

"This world is dangerous—more powerful than ours at the upper echelons, but we surpass them in the lower and middle ranks. Gabriel, your father likely has a counterpart here, along with other angels. We won't claim to be from him, to avoid his ire."

"We'll help fight off this invasion and establish decent relations with the local heroes. Don't give them information they could use against us, but you're free to speak with them."

"We're also here to kill. These aliens came to our planet to steal, rape, and kill. Make sure none of them leave alive."

"I'll leave a mark on Purity, Yuji, and Todo so I can teleport them to me if—"

I was cut off by Yuji and Todo, who were staring at their status screens with dread.

"Um, Sensei—Strider. We have a problem," Yuji said, voice trembling slightly. Todo remained composed but seemed shaken.

I sighed. "Show us."

They projected the news, and dread—and shame—filled me too.

[Warning: Cursed Energy has been introduced to this universe for the first time and has integrated itself into the rules of this universe.]

[Cursed spirits born from the negative thoughts and beliefs of sentient beings will now manifest across the universe.]

[Only beings with cursed energy can fully exorcise them. They can be destroyed by brute force but will reform more quickly than normal.]

[A dimension filled with cursed energy has formed, from which all cursed spirits will emerge into reality.]

· [A Special Grade curse, Sukuna, has been formed and transported to Earth.]

· [A Special Grade curse, Tengen, has been formed and transported to Earth.]

· [A Special Grade curse, Gengis, has been transported to Mars.]

· [A Special Grade curse, Dagon, has been transported to Titan.]

· [An Overlord Grade curse, Echidna, has been born and taken control as the Dimension Lord of the Curse Dimension.]

[Beings across the universe will begin awakening to cursed energy and cursed techniques.]

[The balance of the world is too heavily in humanity's favor—stronger curses will be born in time.]

[The sorcerer Soleil is too powerful, tilting the balance further. To compensate, the Special Grade curse Sukuna has regained his full strength and memories from an alternate timeline (pre-Shibuya Incident).]

We'd just unleashed hell on this universe simply by being here. That was bad enough—but the true rebirth of the King of Curses? I had no doubt he would climb to even greater heights in a world with higher limits than his own.

I'd need to find him soon, before he spiraled out of control.

"Alright… keep this quiet. No one should know they're linked to our arrival. We'll pretend they were already here, unleashed by the Convergence."

They nodded mechanically, still shell-shocked.

We'd had no way of knowing this would be the effect of introducing a new energy to a universe like this. It meant the same could happen in other worlds we visited. For me, it might be different—my energies were merged into one, so I shouldn't leak cursed energy. At most, I'd leak cosmic energy, and this universe already had its own variant: the Power Cosmic. Still, I'd have to travel the multiverse alone from now on.

"Fuck this. Let's go bash some heads."

I released my wings—a fusion of devil and angel, ten in total. Gabriel and Metatron did the same, and we lifted into the air before shooting toward New York at high supersonic speeds.

It took about thirty minutes. On the way, we passed jets and dodged missiles—Metatron even showed off by catching one and letting it explode harmlessly in his hand.

OP bastard.

Present Time

"Ahhh, there you are. I've been looking for you," I said to the hero who looked like a handsome Kizaru—complete with the fit and everything.

He seemed briefly terrified before sighing deeply and appearing beside me in a flash of light.

"Is this world a fucking crossover? You look like a Gilgamesh expy."

I smiled. He wasn't wrong.

"Nah. It just became one. The Convergence reached farther than it should have—into our universe. It's a sort of DxD AU with characters from Naruto, Jujutsu Kaisen, even WORM. Now our worlds are permanently linked."

He ruminated on that before sighing in defeat, his gaze drifting to the horizon.

"So… Ophis, Great Red, and Sirzechs can come here?"

"Yes, but not really."

"Explain," he said, a bit aggressively at first, then with remorse when he saw my look.

Once I was sure he'd been properly chastised, I explained the basics.

"The Human God contained the incursions and set migration rules. Gods can appear but will be vetted. Angels are allowed, and more benevolent phantasmal species can come. But devils and fallen angels can only be summoned to Earth via contract—they can't stay long unless they find a workaround. Fallen angels and devils are instantly teleported to random hell dimensions and can't easily return."

"That's okay, I guess. Anyway, let's catch up later. We've got an invasion to clear. This universe isn't like the MCU—it's closer to the comics in power levels, so be careful. Marvel is harder than DxD."

Overhead, Purity formed light constructs, bisecting the filthy xenos. Yuji and Todo tore through them like tissue—already superhuman, they'd easily overwhelm even a veteran like Captain America.

"Hmmm, move out of the way. I want to aura-farm a bit," I said with a mischievous grin.

The Kizaru expy sighed before dissolving into light and vanishing.

Since arriving in this universe, my clan trait had been going into overdrive from contact with so many layered dimensions around Earth. Knowing how dangerous most were, I chose the safest one I could reasonably control:

The Mirror Dimension.

I could already enter and leave at will, and I'd begun the slow process of creating a personal dimension based on it. Time wasn't an issue—thanks to the various races integrated into my bloodline, I had eons of it.

Deep breath. Game time.

Agent Rosier POV

SHIELD Agent

The battlefield returned to its chaotic lull after the initial strike by the unknown golden mutant.

I knew I should've stayed in bed today. My horoscope was bad. If I make it out, I'll never—

"You mongrels! Filthy xenos have come to my land and desecrated it with your foul presence. For that, you will pay the ultimate price!" the golden mutant declared, floating high above.

"I won't suffer your presence on my planet a second longer. All defenders of this world—brace for transport!"

"Mirror World Banishment!"

The world lurched. Up became down. Down became up. Left and right inverted. A perfect copy of New York, yet reflected—as if we were inside…

A mirror.

This fucker had thrown all of us into another dimension.

"Now you can fight as you please—without holding back. What was that thing you like to say… hmm… yes. I believe it was: Hulk smash!"

A feral roar immediately echoed across the transformed battlefield.
